New to RCs and I ‘debuted’ with the Kaiju, even before I watched this video. This just confirmed what I thought was a better value overall though I’ve been drooling over Arrma, Traxxas, & Losi throughout my research. I appreciate the review and thanks for making this video!
Redcat has come along way, their making some really good trucks! I own a Redcat TR-MT10E and I love it, Great Truck! I bought it to drive at night so my neighbors wouldn't complain about the sound my Savage Nitro's make! It's been great so far no problems and all the neighbors move their cars out of the street and watch me race it against my sons Fazon!
Good commentary, I was curious how Redcat stacked up. I personally own several Redcats, Tornado, Earthquake 8E , actually 2 of the Tornadoes and Shredder with an additional tower to tower aluminum brace, no problems with it. I also have a couple of Losi's and Traxxas rc's, but I'm partial to the Tornado with street tires, will put a smile on your face. So in conclusion, here shortly Redcat Kaiju will be my next purchase, already have street tires for it.
I was debating between these two trucks I went with Kaiju seems well built on paper and on TH-cam reviews. I should have it next week to see it in person. I like your channel and you do great reviews.
I was going to buy the kraton until I seen the Redcat! Patiently waiting for it to hit the uk 🤔 great video on comparison of both trucks subscribed to you're channel👍
And I firmly believe that. There are a lot of people that don't have problems with trucks that other people do. That's just the nature of the hobby. Being in Facebook groups that with multiple thousands of people and with most of them reporting feedback and things, you get a chance to see a variety of different people's experiences. It is a locked transmission and I'm sure some of the people that are breaking the shafts are probably Landing with the throttle open and jamming the transmission which leaves really no place for the power to go if you can't go to Wheels. As I mentioned there is a variety of different reasons and I only tried to speak about the things that I knew were issues, not saying that they were definite problems 100% going to happen.
@@bigmusclerc5967 I am working on it.. had rain here all week and i had a bunch of comparison stuff i wanted to do first, with a clean truck. out of all of them and i have had all of them in front of me or owned and tested them and Kaiju is looking better out the box and some run videos are showing it too. I had bad weather and then got sick, but i plan on comparing it to the maxx 4S and 6 S outcast tonight and the value i believe is going to stack up to favoring the Kaiju there as well. Redcat has seriously stepped up their qc over the past couple years. I’ve bought their nitros since 08 or so. They were garbage. Every year they get better and better. Like the earthquake 3.5 is like a competitor to the tmaxx 3.3. And 220 bucks cheaper and over all. A waaaay better truck.
I took my front diff out on my Kaiju. 4 screws on the bottom two on top. That's it. The outdrive cup on my front differential broke on my Kaiju during my first bash on 4s BTW.

I'm just curious. Why would compare a 6s truck vs a 4s ??? Kinda doesnt make sense. To me n e way. I guess it's a value comparison but ur talking strength.. well ok I get it. I still kinda disagree n it's not cause I'm a fan boy cause i only own 1 arrma
The market is strange these days, you can tell the Kaiju is going after the Maxx, and some of the first Maxx videos were people throwing 6S at it. Redcat in the pursuit of value probably thought why not include it, as the esc's wouldn't cost that much different. Most people say it's pretty unusable on 6S anyway
It makes sense. The Kaiju size,,cost, value puts it right in the middle of the 4S Armas(you can see they are similar size and same$$ and the Kaiju is a stunt truck like the Outcast.Comparing it to 6S Arma and Team Corally's 6S also makes sense. Keep in mind the 4S Kraron and 4S Outcast claim 1/10 scale. 6S's are 1/8 as Kaiju claims. So comparing the 6S will make sense for size build, value ability, and price as well. The 6S Corally's are $130 more and the 6S Armas $150 ,(Outcast and Dementor best comps) more. They are definitely more truck, the ? Is ( similarly to the 4S Arma line) Is it worth it? Or are they so different the comparison doesn't hold up? We know for example the 6s stuff can do 60+mph from Corally and Arma out the box , but they are also bigger and more $$. In my opinion Redcat needs to stop making undersized scaled vehicles..or calling them something bigger than they are and just do what they do! If the Kaiju claimed it was a 1/10 scale then what would we be talking about here? Same size as 4S Armas, BUT 6s capable with essentially metal upgrades LED's etc. For the exact same cost? We would be asking Arma to up their 1/10 scale 4S line game to respond. The issue is Redcat has someone who can't stop trying to market their vehicles as bigger than they are or who makes vehicles smaller than many within their scale size. If Redcat had said this was 1/10 that would leave them room to developed a bigger beefier 1/8 to compete with the Corally and Arma 6s and come in at a price point of say $500! Then as someone else said build a couple more vehicles off of the same platforms, Truggy. buggy SC whatever. 3 to 4 1/10 models like the Kaiju and 3 to 4 1/8 beasts to compete with the 1/8 6S Corally and 1/8 6S Armas! Win.win!
@@seanmcpherson7962 I think the 1/8 size category is for the drivetrain components more so than the actual size. Scale will always be confusing, the E-Revo is "1/10", but the same size as the Kraton 6S, which is 1/8, and the Kaiju is 1/8 but the same size as the Maxx, so the Maxx should be 1/8 but because the Revo is still bigger than the Maxx so is the Revo now 1/6??? We need some conspiracy theorys on this
@@vivos71 it should be simple 1/1 is life size real vehicle. 1/2 is half the size ,and so on so if scaled up a 1/10 ×10 it should equal a 1/1 real life vehicle. A 1/8 ×8 and so on. There should be some variance obviously as real 1/1 vary. But the drastic differences in RC scaling is ridiculous. .
