Jonny Greenwood is indeed one of the most creative and exploring guitarist of the 90's, always looking for different sounds. Great reaction!

Incredibly hard song to play live. It’s insane that they came up with something like this

It's absolutely next level. I play guitar and Radiohead are just way way out there on another level! LOL.. it's one thing to be able to play their music, but it's an entirely different thing to create this music. They are at the top as far as I'm concerned! I love all of their music. If you haven't checked it out, be sure and watch the "In Rainbows" In the Basement video. You can actually see how incredibly gifted they each are! Thanks for a great reaction video :)

jonny greenwood is a very talented multi-instrumentalist, and his career extends far beyond radiohead, he builds scores for movies and he got an oscar nomination in two ocasions for that, for the power of the dog and for the phantom thread, but he also scored there will be blood and spencer. his compositions are always special and his style and approach to music is very unique.

The meaning of this phrase is that he may have the defect of being paranoid and crazy, but he will never be a dull and unfeeling robot, which is worse than being crazy. I think the best way to listen to this song is to feel the emotions instead of deciphering the lyrics, because it's so wide of interpretations, everyone interprets it in their own way, that's how I feel listening to most of Radiohead's songs. Loved the background with no surprises. Great reaction JaKar! I'm excited to see you hear Kid A.

    • @JaKarTV

Thank you honestly this comment is amazing helped me understand a lot! & yea you’re right I think Ima just focus on the feeling more than the lyrics because you can definitely take their titles & words for many different interpretations which is a beautiful thing! Thank you! Stay tuned 🌟🔥

Jonny Greenwood (the younger brother of bassist Colin Greenwood) is something of a British alt-rock legend, whose creativity extends beyond the band into 'classical' territory. And their ability to innovate far from stops here.

How good a guitarist is Jonny ? Like others such as Clapton, some will say it sounds easy - but it maybe they make it look easy. He is excellent at what he does, within his limitations.
PS Don't be surprised if he soon wins Oscars for score/soundtrack. He has had nominations.

as a guitarist, probably the most difficult part about this song is to do what thom yorke is doing. playing and singing. especially for the first 3rd of the song. he has to precisely pick certain strings at a fairly rapid tempo. and then when you add singing into the mix, it takes a LOT of practice to get them both sounding good at the same time. arguably even more practice than jonny greenwood freaking out on the guitar, in the middle of the song. but yea, just wanted to answer your question. love your reactions, bro, keep doin what you're doin. p.s. now that you've warmed up a bit to the weirder side of radiohead (kid a) I think you're gonna love OK Computer when you do your reaction. that album finds a really nice balance between easily accessible - strange and unique

Keep doing Radiohead they are the last great band from the ere of bands. Their music is so emotional and powerful and they change their sound, sometimes radically from record to record it really keeps you on your toes. The basement sessions are legandary and the one for In Rainbows has no copyright issues and it is a great way to learn what the band is about. Watching them pull off all those intricate songs live is amazing and everything they do is live no recordings jusr amazing.

The title is a cunning reference to a depressive robot in a British sci-fi comedy.... but that's not important. To understand Radiohead's rise, in Britain alone, at the end of the 1990s, it's instructive to know what the English were used to. A scene called 'Britpop' had overtly celebrated pop nostalgia, without necessarily addressing what many were feeling. This single actually was in danger of topping the UK chart, because people felt more vulnerable.

Great reaction, they are amazing live so its fine to react to them that way. However i still prefer a music video reaction because their music videos are awesome and crazy. They also play some of the songs a bit different live to keep it fresh. In rainbows is my favorite album from them closely followed by ok computer and kid a, so it would be nice with a reaction to those aswell. Ok computer and in rainbows are way more easy to listen to than kid a, so if you dont like kid a on your first listen maybe check the other ones out.

Try the book The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy. (Do people read other than Harry Potter these days ? 😉) It has my favourite literary character - Marvin, the paranoid android. A robot with manic depression. A great spoof of sci-fi that Thom Yorke loved.
