Hello there! I have also been playing P5X on the Korean server since launch and happy to see this. I though I would add in some things that this video did not cover - The 50/50 system will remain, the 100% guarantee system will be introduced as an alternative. Pity isn’t shared between the systems but the pity from each system does carry over to the next banner. The 100% guarantee does not apply to weapon banner. - Other gacha information not relayed: 50/50 ceiling on the character banner on the old system is 80 pulls. The 100% guarantee one is 110 with a random standard character given out every 165 pulls. Weapon banner is cheaper than standard (1k gems instead of 1.5k gems), 50/50 is 70 pulls max and its split between the feature weapon at 50% and two SSR weapons from the perma pool at 25% each. - When you start the game you have a beginner banner with discounted multis and can do up to 50 multis. After that you can select one SSR, either Mona/Ryuji/Ann. You get a second SSR selector after completing some beginner missions with the same characters and a third SSR character selector that includes Riddle and Rin after doing 300 pulls on standard. - Weapons are locked to specific characters and alts of them. So Summer Closer and regular Closer can use the same weapon but nobody else can. Its the downside to this weapon system compared to other similar ones that generally only are locked to class types at worst. - You can get free dupes for most of the perma characters through non gacha methods like occasional Task missions (think Expeditions) and other different events. After six months I have 13 dupe shards, enough to max dupe two perma characters and one to spare. Downside is these only include the launch perma characters and Marian for now. - Revelation cards have their own version of self modeling resin from Star Rail and a substat reroller. We are also getting a new item for six month anniversary that will basically be our version of the Artifact Transmuter from Genshin where you can make a custom Revelation Card with the main stat and two substats of your choosing. But its gonna be given out sparingly. - The protagonist and the other party members do not have access to personas who can nullify/reflect/absorb elements, only enemies can do this. Presumably changed for balance reasons. - When it comes to baton pass attacks, the AI will auto pick an enemy by default. I recommend changing the option to letting you pick it yourself (except when using autobattle). - Probably obvious from the footage but Mementos unlike P5 is not randomly generated floors. And Palaces do not disappear when you complete them unlike P5 as well.
This overview is so awesome! I’ve been playing Star rail consistently since the game came out, but I’m a huge persona fan. I’ve stayed away from this game because of the hurdle of getting into the game, but with this I feel pretty confident to actually start. Thanks Man!
@@YukiSnow75 KR is the Korean version of P5X. It’s very easy to sign up and play it. There’s also a mod that will translate the Korean text to English, it’s a very good mod.
@@Ayaka_SakaiNo it’s not lol. It’s a crappy ai translation that doesn’t even work for all text, and while not essential, no dub also sucks. Most importantly though the story isn’t done yet and I’d like for it to be finished before jumping in
@@triangularfish6487 haha I guess the translation can be a bit crappy at times. But from what I've heard, it actually uses the most advanced language translator that's available to the public. From my experience with playing the game I've only encountered a few issues. For example, some sentences that start with the word "ah" don't get fully translated. But this translator mod is amazing because it can still allow someone to understand what's actually happening in the game. I also think it's impressive how such a small group of people were able to create a mod like this. As for the story not being complete... yeah that might take a while. The palaces in this game are huge and they are filled with things to do, so it takes a lot of time to fully develop them. The devs are also creating new game modes ( like the online tycoon and heart rail) and side stories (like cross fate) at the same time that they are creating the main story. So it's a bit understandable why it takes so long to develop the main story. At the very least if you try the game right now you'll have access to 3 entire palaces and 4 episodes of cross fate😄 But if you want an English dub you might want to wait for the global release in the future since it will probably have one. Pesonally i never played a gatcha, always tried to stay away from it but i love persona, maybe i'll give it a shot once there is an american server (They did my boi Black Frost dirty by not including the goat on the compendium).

if they do this, one thing i hope they have is fire emblem support conversations, because, despite characters just being meta verse clones of real people in the real world, i still want it to feel like these are actual characters, with actual personalities , and actually interact with each other
I will play this game once it's out in global I just hope they follow the succesful Hoyoverse formula with all servers getting the same patch at the same time and I hope they introduce original characters instead of OG cast reskined as a new character.
Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news… but I don’t think the patches will come out at the same time for each server. KR and TW are already a week behind compared to CN. Global and JP will also be 6+ months behind on updates too.😓 But about the cast, I genuinely don’t believe they are just reskinned versions of the P5 cast. The entire cast is just so full of life and so fun, in my opinion at least. I hope when you play global your mind changes!😁

Since they announced the launch of the JP version and they didn't really say anything about the global version as far as I remember, when do you think it might come out, or when do you think we will be getting any news about the global version? I'm just wondering if it will be worth it to try out the game in the korean servers now if the global version will not be coming anytime soon. I've seen people speculate that they might be scheduling it for sometime around the middle of 2025? Anyway, great video. Keep it up!

But in an interview from about a month ago they stated that JP and Global will be released at the same time. So if JP is already being shown off it probably means that Global is deep in development too, but it’s only speculation. Unless development for global is taking way more time than expected I doubt this would change. But I think that prediction of Global and JP releasing in mid 2025 is pretty accurate, it seems very realistic .
@@Ayaka_Sakai don't forget recruitment of potential EN VA, though it seems problematic with the recent strikes. Even though I'm not from the US, I got the general gist of the situation. Unless there's a recording studio that accepts the terms, the Global version is likely to be delayed or released without EN voice overs, like with Q2. The other problem is getting back the VA to reprise the roles of existing P5 console titles characters, as Royal, Strikers and Tactica were confirmed for future cross fate events. The same thing happened in the current Asian servers, as Ryuji's JP VA wasn't able to record for the first 2 cross fate events likely due to schedule, now the problem is fixed.

@@Ayaka_Sakai I brought this up due to voice acting being the selling point of the franchise. Keep in mind back in Q2, only JP audio likely due to the time and 3ds being in its last life cycle. However, both factors kind of contributed to the low sales in the West side. The same thing happened in Strikers, as the global version released close to the year after JP version due to COVID, which lessens the opportunity for a proper quality studio recording. So far as seen with Genshin, several voice lines were missing in 5.1, and likely future content due to the strikes. P5X is the current game where Ren/Joker is an established character with full voiced lines, outside of P5 console titles where most of his personality are from dialogue choices. The recent 2.3.3 trailer has him voice and pose the same as Nior's initial introduction in the mainline, which was hilarious and surprising. Xander Mobius might have a field day in getting to show more of Ren/Joker's personality.
Nah... I was burnt out on P5 stuff years ago. The last thing I need is yet another P5 spin-off, only this time built from the ground-up with microtransactions in mind.
Nah trust me! P5X is way more than just a cash grab made by Atlus. It’s a huge breath of fresh air when it comes to Persona games. You should totally give it a chance, it might change your mind!
p5x is so good, but its like some chinese transfer student that comes to your class and you dont understand a word of what he is saying. kinda hoping they announce global before the end of the year. i remember trying honkai star rail and getting bored on the city because you had to walk so much to do interesting things, and the combat was kinda boring, but p5x every palace feels so right, except post boss kiuchi's probably. also, the combat is peak, not being able to change your persona as freely makes it more interesting than the original p5, and batton pass is limited but feels sooo good to get right
My problem with this game is yes for a gacha game even if i hate them i can say it a decent one but... Because IT IS A GACHA it show how good a persona game like this game could be if it wasnt a gacha. I hate not being able to have all characters, i like testing all possibilities a game has to offer and not being limited.

I haven't watched the video but i'll say that the reason I won't be playing it no matter the reason is because gacha is bad. TL;DR: Gateway to gambling addiction, been there, done that. Just watch lore video's instead. I've played gacha's and i've learned how bad they are. I'm disillusioned with them entirely. They want you to play it like a second job just to keep up, they manipulate you with FOMO, and the entire games monotization is to get you hooked and sell you on something. Yeah, no thanks, i'll stick to playing real games instead.
@@kazumakariama I 100% understand. Before P5X I’ve never really played a gacha game before. All I ever heard about gacha games were that they were just gambling addictions disguised as video games. But after playing P5X and comparing it to all the things I’ve heard, it’s honestly not that bad. I think they still do the FOMO things with the premium banner characters only staying for 2 weeks, but these characters have appeared on reruns. I also believe that P5X is pretty F2P friendly, I don’t spend much money on the game and I’m still making good progress. It’s still free to play the game, maybe give it a chance? But I understand why you have these valid criticisms about the game.

I'm sure if you just follow the tutorial that's inside of the #translation-pc channel in the P5X Worldwide server then you should be ok. You can also ask people in the discord for help. As a star rail player that sometimes dabbles in other gacha games, I think it's kinda funny that you have to explain every gacha game staple.
