I think your alternator belt may installed upside down. Could account for the squealing. I own an 85 GoWesty sells a hand pump you attach to your coolant pressure tank. Pump it to 15-17 psi and you’ll be able to pinpoint all your coolant leaks. It’s also great for burping the system. Good luck 👍
Hello and thank you for watching and subscribing!!! So I didn’t know GoWesty made a tool to check the coolant system so I’ll definitely gunna need to add that to my cart 🛒! The alternator belt was installed correctly the bolt was stripped out of the adjustment lever so it would lose some tension with the engine vibrations. This could have caused the water pump to spin slower then normal thus increasing engine temps , creating an overheating scenario that could have caused a component to fail. It is all connected and could snow ball . A Simple fix with a new bolt could have mitigate that issue!
