Another VW Vanagon Barn Find- Cindy's Bus

- In this chapter, we travel to the south hills of Pittsburgh to take a look at a 1986 Vanagon that's been parked for a bit, and needs a new home. We hope to help the owner get the bus back into good shape for an easy sale of a sentimental and truly special vehicle.
Join us as we learn the stories of this bus, this owner, and make a few memories of our own- together!
Update: Cindy was able to successfully re-home the bus! Hopefully the new owner is excited to take on this project and it brings them years of great adventures!
Good to see the doka out on a road trip being all dependable and stuff :) that vanagon looked to be in real nice shape inside and out. Cindy appeared to really enjoy you guys coming out to see her and the van.
It’s a great bus and it found a great new home, I’m glad we could visit with Cindy and share her story!

This one was so great. Love seeing the Doka taken to the limit haha! Looks like a wonderful bus for the right person.
We made it there and back with the doka, so- that’s an accomplishment!

Did you take Dan with you in case your Doka broke down and you would need someone to give you a push? Definitely amazing how you got that Doka back on the road!

Yes, all passenger vans came with a rear cushion. In this case she sadly had JUST thrown it out.

Lots and lots! From 83.5-85, then things switched over to the 2.1 MV. We never got the 2.1DJ- by FAR the best of the best.

It’s in about 70% of the ones sold in the US. It doesnt usually work, but it is more common then rare.
