I remember being subbed to this channel a few years ago when they had under 20k subs. Finally got the new psvr2 and came back and now they over 100k subs 🙌🏽
I still miss my PSVR1 games so much. I miss SuperhotVR & Ultrawings (both of them), Blood & Chaos & more, & I don't understand why so many of them are stuck on PS4 now that I no longer have one (I know PSVR1 can work on PS5 but the games don't work on PSVR2 & it's tragic, in all sincerity).
Yeah it sucks how many awesome games were left behind on PSVR. It's nice that some developers have ported their games, but there are so many gems with no sign of coming over, and some where ports would be highly unlikely for one reason or another. Of the games you listed though, your Ultrawings itch will be scratched, as the developer is porting Ultrawings 2 to PSVR 2 in the fairly near future iirc.

It's a big reason I was compelled to get the PSVR2, which has been relatively disappointing by comparison & we all basically lost our PSVR1 catalog to PSVR2. It's as surprising as it is frustrating I guess is all.

I have the hookup for psvr1 to ps5 and have never bothered to use it. That breakout box bricks HDR output so either your going to be constantly changing cables or learn to live without advanced display modes. PSVR2 seems to be a minimal effort product for Sony. They could have created more tools for developers to allow backwards compatibility of their PSVR1 titles with PSVR2.
I have to say out of this list (besides RE4), Arken Age is making me the most excited. The combat looks fun and if they get the exploration right it could really be a gem!
One information that people should know is that here we see the video and it looks like " low definition ", but when we put the glasses, the whole room disapear and the scenary come up in high definition. Not to mention the earphone giving full immersion to the place. I'm plaing RE village and its the best experience of my life on matters of gaming ( excluding Final fantasy Platiums ofc ) hahaha. Totally loving VR2.
Seeing that footage for Wanderer makes me think a PS VR2 version of Half Life Alyx would be possible and amazing ( cmon Valve…. ) Great list and I hope we see Alyx, Bonelab and a new Astro VR game in 2024!
I also want to finally shed some light or simply announce the Alyx port. I remember in 2022, several insiders wrote that Alyx will be on Psvr2. I have a feeling that this will happen right before the release of Ps5 Pro.
Alyx is totally possible on PSVR 2. I think the biggest hurdle to it is Valve. They just don't need the money, so there's little incentive for them doing the port or even farming it out to another developer. I really hope it happens, but I'm not holding my breath.
Great job on the video! Somehow I'd never heard of Arken Age before this, but seeing that trailer has me pumped. Considering I just got around to playing Shadow Legend a couple weeks ago, it couldn't come at a better time. It looks like they've taken the VRAF ethos of SL and actually made good combat. The prospect of that has made is maybe my most anticipated VR game.
Really excited for Lo-Fi and Behemoth but sony.. could we please get one AAA game that's not a horror game.. (even if it is just an update for Hitman or Skyrim)
Well there is GT7... 😏 I agree though, it'd be great if there were some more variety in the hybrid games coming to PSVR 2. The new Ace Combat game will probably have full VR support. I'd love to see a more arcade-y racer than GT7 go hybrid as well. As for Hitman and Skyrim, both would be awesome, but neither is likely imo. Skyrim is owned by Bethesda who are owned by Microsoft, and while there was a time when MS and Sony seemed like they could play nice, the feud over Microsoft's buyout of Activision Blizzard has me thinking they won't work together any time soon. Hitman on the other hand is possible, but IOI got so much hate for their PC VR port that I wouldn't be surprised if they never want to touch VR again. Seriously, the Hitman games were review bombed and they faced a ton of abuse. Hope I'm wrong though, as Hitman looked great even on PSVR 1.

I never listened to the haters i will always stand my ground for psvr2 its the best vr headset in the market with the best graphics and haptic feed back and even when the games come out and the graphics aren’t finished yet they still be looking better than the quest version i just wish they would update it to where you see comments when you stream like psvr1
It took a long time for it to improve let alone black friday sales helped a lot. The lack of free upgrades from vr1 (primarily transformers as angry birds, operation wolf returns ps4 physical, and moss want you to pay) is a pain. Not sure what this has over Meta quest 3 that has backwards compatibility. But I do use my overrated ps5 for VR without needing to charge the headset so I guess I'll live with it. Thanks for mentioning the dogfighting exclusive as I don't think we'll get assassins creed on psvr2.
That's a great list, only a couple things to note: I doubt we'll get a Doom VR on PSVR 2, as Id Software is now owned by Microsoft. Also, Journey to Foundation is already out, and most of the reviews found it a bit disappointing. It's a shame, I was also really looking forward to it as a fan of the books.
It would be awesome if Sony actually started talking about their future plans for first party support of PSVR 2, assuming they have any. Even if they don't though, it's good to know there's some stuff to look forward to. Arken Age looks great!
At this point I don't care - if it happens awesome, if not, we have the promising year, nevertheless. I just want them to start selling controllers as it was teased recently and that's it. If we get slate of games like this on PSVR2, I can't care less about first party AAA games, which would be sparse anyways. Would be nice to see third-party AAA get more encouraged and on PSVR2, period.
resident evil 4 remake vr mode will probably be released in December even though if I remember it was written until December on the official page about the game on the PlayStation website, This VR version is taking so long that I pray it's an excellent port that doesn't have your hand moving things around, various items on the map can be picked up, among other things.
That Kona soundtrack always fills me with good memories of the original. The devs have no plans for a VR port of Kona II for now, unfortunately. And get RE4 out of this top 10. We all have to believe in a December surprise.
Nah I fear people will jump ship as that is standalone. However, if the Steam modders win, psvr2 could work on PC (I'm surprised people still use those with AAA bad optimization and console/mobile ports), which will definitely improve things.
@@MrVariant I disagree. I don’t believe there will be a mass exodus of PS VR2 users dumping their headset for a Quest 3. I have both myself. Nothing (currently) on the Quest can touch the visual splendor of any of the PS VR2 exclusives. And most Quest games will always look, and run better on the PS VR2 anyway as it’s just a mobile chip powering it. Only reason to own a Quest 3 over a PS VR2 would be for the mixed reality, social experiences, and media consumption. It will be awhile before we see actual games built from the ground up to take full advantage of Quest 3. Developers will will continue to make sacrifices for their games to still run on the older Quest hardware.
Thanks for this video. There were a number of games here that I wasn’t aware of or hadn’t really seen before. As someone who has been a bit disappointed with the support of PSVR2, I’m glad to see some exciting games coming.
I want a VR horror game where you explore abandoned town and try to find a way out. What comes to my mind is Cursed Mountain on the wii. Not the best horror game but super cool for VR. just wondering around on your own. Makes you feel isolated om a snowy mountain. Solve puzzle and maybe some light combat mechanics.
Was shocked to see Low-Fi is built in Unity (6:38 into the video). I would be super cautiously optimistic with this one. We all know how "well" this engine fares in rendering complex 3D assets especially objects in VR so already my hype for this game went down to 50% now. It also doesnt help the fact that it's made by a single dev. I really hope to be proven wrong where he pulls a Vertical Robot with this but remember keep those expectations in check!
Low-Fi is already playable on PC VR, and it actually does look like it does in the trailers (at least according to every channel I've seen cover it). The biggest issue with Unity is that the eye-tracking/DFR is busted, so like you, I'm skeptical about how this game will turn out on PSVR 2.
I dont care what the games are, but we NEED MORE OPEN WORLD GAMES!!! if they could make a VR game like Fallout 76, it would be one of the most epic VR games of all time! I am getting seriously tired of single path games being the norm on VR. give us more OPEN WORLD GAMES!
Problem is, open world games are expensive to make, and take a long time. In order to have an open world game this early in the PSVR 2's life cycle, it would have needed to start development halfway through the PS4's lifecycle. Best hope for an open world PSVR 2 game would be a port of a flat open world game. Of all the built-for-VR games, I think Behemoth might have the best chance of scratching that itch. I don't think it'll have a true open world, but considering its inspirations, I think it'll likely have large areas with a fair amount of exploration.
Given the fact that they dropped the Separate Ways DLC a few days from it's official announcement, I completely believe Capcom might just shadow drop RE 4 DLC some random week in December.

So i finally bought a PSVR2 due to being a fan of your channel. But i've never seen a video on how the PSVR2 has a problem with usb-c? Or maybe it is a problem with a launch PS5 at least? Do i need to buy a new slim PS5 in order for this dead paperweight to work?
PSVR 2 shouldn't have a problem with USB-c. A lot of people in this community bought a PS5 at launch in anticipation of PSVR 2, and have used PSVR 2 without issue on their launch PS5s. You might've gotten a defective PSVR 2 or PS5. Just to be clear, you are plugging the PSVR 2 into the small USB-c port on the front of the PS5, right? It won't work with any other USB port on the PS5, even with an adapter. Can you plug in and use other things in your PS5's USB-c port? If so, the PSVR 2 is probably defective and you should contact Sony for a replacement. If other USB-c devices also don't work in that port, your PS5 might have a defective port. If that's the case I hope it's still under warrantee.

Totally free. Just like Village we expect there to be an optional "VR Patch" you'll need to download from the PlayStation Store but it doesn't cost anything.
Yeah ports of the old Killzone games would be fantastic. Hell, KZ3 even supported 3D TVs, so it really was most of the way toward a VR game. Unfortunately porting PS3 games is a daunting task, as that console had a radically different system architecture from anything else, so the game would basically have to be rebuilt. But Sony seems to love remasters these days, so a KZ 2-3 remaster with VR support seems plausible.
I can't wait for aces of thunder I have put nearly 500 hours into warthunder, if they keep the flight machanics the same as the 2d game then I won't take my headset off

How is the quality of this compared to the Quest 2? The Q2 is decent but I can’t play too long because the picture quality is too “fuzzy” and gives me a headache after about 30 minutes.
Hell. YES. Statik is so fantastic. The only issue I can think of is that it relied heavily on controller tracking, and PSVR 2 doesn't have any way (that we know of) of tracking the Dualsense. And it just wouldn't feel the same playing with the Sense controllers.
Wanderer and aces of thunder have my interest. Is Ghosts of Tavor suppose to be 2024? I'm hoping the next F1 game and WRC game have psvr2 support but I'm not holding my breath.

My most anticipated game from the list is Arken Age, close with Wanderer but I already played the latter.

Low-Fi is already playable on PC VR, and it actually does look like it does in the trailers (at least according to every channel I've seen cover it). The biggest issue with Unity is that the eye-tracking/DFR is busted, so like you, I'm skeptical about how this game will turn out on PSVR 2.

Problem is, open world games are expensive to make, and take a long time. In order to have an open world game this early in the PSVR 2's life cycle, it would have needed to start development halfway through the PS4's lifecycle. Best hope for an open world PSVR 2 game would be a port of a flat open world game.
Of all the built-for-VR games, I think Behemoth might have the best chance of scratching that itch. I don't think it'll have a true open world, but considering its inspirations, I think it'll likely have large areas with a fair amount of exploration.

Given the fact that they dropped the Separate Ways DLC a few days from it's official announcement, I completely believe Capcom might just shadow drop RE 4 DLC some random week in December.

So i finally bought a PSVR2 due to being a fan of your channel. But i've never seen a video on how the PSVR2 has a problem with usb-c? Or maybe it is a problem with a launch PS5 at least? Do i need to buy a new slim PS5 in order for this dead paperweight to work?
PSVR 2 shouldn't have a problem with USB-c. A lot of people in this community bought a PS5 at launch in anticipation of PSVR 2, and have used PSVR 2 without issue on their launch PS5s. You might've gotten a defective PSVR 2 or PS5.
Just to be clear, you are plugging the PSVR 2 into the small USB-c port on the front of the PS5, right? It won't work with any other USB port on the PS5, even with an adapter.
Can you plug in and use other things in your PS5's USB-c port? If so, the PSVR 2 is probably defective and you should contact Sony for a replacement. If other USB-c devices also don't work in that port, your PS5 might have a defective port. If that's the case I hope it's still under warrantee.

Totally free. Just like Village we expect there to be an optional "VR Patch" you'll need to download from the PlayStation Store but it doesn't cost anything.
I played killzone 3 with the move controllers in that gray and orange gun beat it and that was amazing at the time yes more old games in vr please
Yeah ports of the old Killzone games would be fantastic. Hell, KZ3 even supported 3D TVs, so it really was most of the way toward a VR game. Unfortunately porting PS3 games is a daunting task, as that console had a radically different system architecture from anything else, so the game would basically have to be rebuilt. But Sony seems to love remasters these days, so a KZ 2-3 remaster with VR support seems plausible.
Re4 VR is a must play
I can't wait for aces of thunder I have put nearly 500 hours into warthunder, if they keep the flight machanics the same as the 2d game then I won't take my headset off

How is the quality of this compared to the Quest 2? The Q2 is decent but I can’t play too long because the picture quality is too “fuzzy” and gives me a headache after about 30 minutes.
The quest three is crystal clear if you just want to upgrade from the quest two but I would do a little research befor making a decision

Hell. YES.
Statik is so fantastic. The only issue I can think of is that it relied heavily on controller tracking, and PSVR 2 doesn't have any way (that we know of) of tracking the Dualsense. And it just wouldn't feel the same playing with the Sense controllers.

Yeah the Ghosts of Tabor PSVR 2 port was still on their 2024 roadmap last I heard.
