Legendary. From the iconic Calty design studio which also designed the gorgeous Lexus SC300/400 and the Tahara assembly plant responsible for the lexus GS300/400 lineup among the 4runner, celica, lexus LS and GX/LX models. I'm quite in awe over this one and think the "Landcruiser" model with the swaybar disconnect and square headlights does it for me. A mixture of homage from the 60s series, The toyota FJ Cruiser and big brother 4runner appearance. I think you knocked it out of the park Toyota! I hope I can afford it, and dealers will have enough stock to supply demand without radical mark-ups.
Great work Toyota team! My only wish list now is for LC to have a trim with All Terrain 33" tires and remote reservoir shocks out of factory. You did it with the Tacoma, please make it happen for the Land Cruiser.
If V8's are (stupidly) no longer an option, then these at least need the turbo V6. The 4-cylinder isn't going to cut it and I'm absolutely not interested in the LC w/that engine in it.
Absolutely. I have a ‘94 LC, the last year of the straight six. 118K and it runs just fine for me, and will go anywhere! No way I’d get this new model. They stressed the body style more than the drive train. Resembles the way overpriced Bronco’s. The older bodies, with their powerful over built, reliable, and long lasting drive trains are what most all of us are looking for. Toyota has bought into all this climate, and green BS, so we’ll all suffer with lots of fluff and degraded power trains that will be overloaded and most likely short lived?
Accept this for what it is; A smaller and less capable vehicle than the LC200/300 - at an affordable price point - developed for the hot US SUV market.
Conformity! That’s what the elites are expecting from the serfs. The only way there is meaningful change is not to conform and not buy their stuff. Bud light in point. If you don’t like this LC vote with your pocket book and don’t conform to the herd mentality.

I put on a deposit already! Since Toyota is looking at the comments, please please please bring the C-HR hybrid to the US, I guarantee it will do well! 🙏🙏🙏
Did your dealership add money to the MSRP?
So just curious. Will the 4 runner still have a place in the Toyota line up for America with Land Cruiser coming back
?
It still will. It’s rumored to be closer to the Tacoma than this 250 series and cost a little bit less. The selling point will be the electronic roll-down rear window but I do wonder how else they are going to differentiate between models now.
My thoughts exactly
Tengo que ir a ese museo de Toyota en Salta Lake City!!!
Is it too late to get a 3rd row
LC is again timeless.
They thought they were going put one over on they’re customer base, but the customers showed them the door.
If you don’t like this LC vote with your pocket book and don’t conform to the herd mentality.
The ground clearance is the same at both versions?
Why Toyota USA did not bring the LC300?... This is a Land Cruiser Prado
Lexus LX series covers it
@@KurniadiPrathomo-sp5zd its $100k LC 300 could be more off road base models like other markets let lx600 be the luxury model
I want one love it🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations Toyota ❤❤❤❤
I hope this concept of the new LC at 8:39 comes to market! Maybe as a Trailhunter??
Toyota hit a home run. Thank you for returning to your roots.
1958, my eye is on you
I am so disappointed that there is only one powertrain option. I will go with new GX for that matter!!!
What’s the mpg spec?
I like the variant with the blue body and white roof. The smurfmobile is definitely a vibe
Looks like an fj that been hitting the gym, looks great lol
How many does it seat? Or did I miss that part?
Seating for 5.
Sorry but this is not the real Land Cruiser. You guys just got a decaf version. We also call this the Prado.
A World become modern so all type of vehicle or any model are looks like a box 😅
Hurry up with the 4runner !!!
I’m so DISAPPOINTED I wanted a 4 door FJ40
Thank you Toyota ❤
I would have liked a V6 option as well as 2nd row captain's chairs. Otherwise it looks pretty nice. That's not a true LC frame though. Old LC's are overbuilt. This - isn't.
This is planned obsolescence.
FJ Cruiser returns!👍🏽
Toyota is now different. I like the new design 👍
Is there 7 seater option in the US?
Awesome to see it back in production in the US
US production sucks !! Why would built here? It’s a KNOWN FACT JAPAN BUILDS BETTER CARS
When can I order?
so this is the new prado then right? cause the bigger land cruiser still exists in the rest of the world. I like this one more! wait so if the 4runner was a rebodied prado, whats the new 4runner gonna be
Thank you for keeping the buttons. All I have to say, just amazing.
It looks awesome!!! All it needs now to conquer the jeep and bronco is removable roof panels and doors!!! That's my only disappointment.. I can't wait to see the new 4Runner when it gets the new update and redesign...It's getting long in the tooth (13 yrs and counting) My 2004 4Runner has 632,320 miles and running strong (all original)
I am hoping the 4runner has the removable top / doors!!!!!!!
Can we get a 4x4 van built on this platform similar to the Mercedes Sprinter van?
Can’t wait to see how much the dealers tack on for markup.
first edt like the $80k sequoia TRD pro $100,000 with Markup and taxes
So don’t buy them if they’re marked up. Screw the dealers.
Dealer near me told me 10k markup. I said great, I just put my money down on a GX instead.
Great presentation!! I love the new Land Cruiser. I am looking forward to seeing Joe Raiti ( Raiti's Rides) and Jeff Teague( ToyotaJeff) driving the vehicles and doing another review. Thanks
It looks really nice ! I just hope in the future they include a 2 door model & for the back row to fold completely flat . For a lot of ppl in our mid 20s (me) this hits all the checkmarks for being a daily driver and to take adventure riding but its a bit too big for city life . Hopefully in the future something happens but will be keeping my eye on the LandCruiser
The hybrid batteries go on the floor in back, so the seats will never fold flat. You didn't have to tell us your age lol. We could all tell you were mid 20s by your inability to just appreciate what is in front of you, without nitpicking.😂
Basically a Suzuki Jimmy but from Toyota.
@@lunamaria1048 I think it's amazing! & didn't know about the hybrid factor thanks 4 sharing. In the video they highlighted how customer feedback was very valuable so was just sharing what id like to see. I also mentioned my age b/c I've read some articles where car company's target audience was in the 25- 35 age. But atm this looks like a great small family vehicle . Not nit picking here.
@@Thats_X_ yes that car is great shame the US doesn't get it
I want a 2 door Toyota SUV too!
I have the FJ60 1985 and FJ62 1989 now I'm waiting for the land cruiser model!!!
Feeling the Land Cruiser love! 🙌
Looks great. Needed and was expecting 3 rows 🥱
6 cylinders preferred vs turbo + hybrid
If you need 3rd row, go buy a minivan…….
I need to see the toyota scout
Will this new Land Cruiser be able to be Dingy towed? I really hope so!
Yea, I’d likely trade in my gladiator if it can. 👍
@@SunnynPhilly I have a ‘14 GX460. I’d love to get the GX500, but that’s expensive. I want to find a vehicle that I can flat tow behind an RV when I get one in a few years. I don’t want to go get a typical Ford or other brand because I love my vehicle but I need it to fit all of my uses.
The 80s strike back. And I love it.
Now if only the 80's Toyota prices would return. 😢
So North America and China get shafted with the hybrid 4 banger turbo..
The Middle East has an awesome choice of 2.4-liter gasoline with 278 hp or 2.8-liter diesel with 201 hp
Europe also gets a base 2.7-liter gasoline with 161 hp plus the 2.8L diesel and 2.4L turbo gasoline
Japan has the 2TR-FE 2.7-liter gasoline with 6 Super-ECT packing 161 hp and the 1GD-FTV 2.8-liter turbo diesel with Direct Shift-8AT and 201 hp.
Yes because of woke climate change bs
Well then quit voting democrat because the EPA under democrats fk everything up!
No 2.8l diesel ? why toyota usa
Love everything about those specs and design, 50K starting price is a nice idea, but in reality I would guess these will roll off the lot around 120-150$
So true
You are out of mind, It is 4 cylinder no 3rd row. whoever pay more than msrp deserve to bankrupt. Even msrp is high for what they offer.
Whats gonna be the difference between it an a trd pro?
Mid-50's PLUS the ridiculous upcharges their dealers toss.....
yes like the dealers are doing with the sequoia TRD PRO $80k plus $15k plus tax lic dealer bs dealer fee
Lo más bello de este año 💕
