Went to my local SD toyota dealers to test drive one. Base model has cloth seats w manual adjustments, manual trunk liftgate, 8 inch infotaintment at $65K+dealer markups, taxes, fees, and a 4 cylinder engine. Hmn, no thanks. What happened to you toyota, huge fan here, but c'mon, do not be another greedy Detroit company offering subpar products at premium prices.
Toyota dealers are significantly increasing their markups, which is negatively impacting the customer experience. It appears that Toyota is either indifferent or disregarding this issue.
I couldn’t even adjust the seat with locked door, cuz I had a real watch 😂 . Talk about the dealer markups on the barebone model, that’s another level joke
Yeah, I went to a Louisville Toyota dealership and they had a $5,000 market adjustment on a 1958 base model. I was like, really?? I'll wait or just skip purchasing all together if this continues.
I agree. I just looked at a new land cruiser at my dealership with cloth seats, small screen, bare interior. Looked like it would be around 30-40k. Nope, 67k!!!! What a waste!
67k for cheap looking interior and cloth seats at my dealership. How is this car not in the 30ks? I’ll keep my 2018 4runner. It looks so much better and I got it for 43k
I understand your concern about pricing, but it's important to look at the long-term value Toyota vehicles offer. With their industry-leading reliability, resale value, and low cost of ownership, they continue to be a top choice for those who prioritize smart financial decisions. Toyota’s reputation for durability and efficiency makes it a worthwhile investment.
More cylinders for tow capacity and reliability, get rid of that hybrid system adding weight and reducing trunk space, add E-KDSS, and some physical gauges. Everything about it feels so cheap… I don’t understand how you could make it heavier, more stressed out engine, and still expensive. We don’t need all these fancy features, just give us an off roader damnit!
I thought about this too until I drove it. It actually works perfect when you have your hand at 3 o’clock on the steering wheel. You don’t have to reach far or search for it. You also have a volume toggle on the steering wheel at 9 o’clock.
@@JJS432 Appreciate your real world opinion. However it seems redundant for the driver to need 2 volume options so close to each other, the volume knob should be there for the passenger/copilot to access in my opinion. Which is a very regular occurrence when travelling with my partner. It seems silly for the passenger to have to lean over to the drivers side and reach up near the steering wheel to change the music volume. The EU model position makes way more sense in this regard
Ya it makes no sense to have the volume knob so close to the driver where the driver already has redundant controls on the steering. It's almost impossible to reach for the passenger.
Hi, there! The estimated MPG is 22/25/23 (City/Highway/Combined). We welcome you to learn more here www.toyota.com/landcruiser/features/mpg_other_price/6165/6167/. 😀 👍
@@toyotausa Wow that's a low MPG for a hybrid. I would think the hybrid technology would be better than that by now for suv's. I'll just keep waiting until there's better mpg. Thank you!
@@wtpwtp Great point! It’s important to note that not all hybrids are designed solely for fuel efficiency-some, like the Land Cruiser, are tuned for power and capability. Toyota’s i-FORCE MAX hybrid system in the Land Cruiser delivers impressive performance and torque to tackle tough terrains, while still offering respectable fuel economy for a vehicle of its size and capability. It’s all about finding the right balance between power and efficiency!
@@timmytoyota I guess I just assumed we'd be further ahead on getting both all of the power plus decent fuel economy on hybrid off-road SUVs by now. Thanks!
@@wtpwtp Yea, no worries. Not trying to sell you. Just love engaging with auto enthusiasts. I am fairly impressed with fuel efficiency for the type of vehicle it is, but I would agree there is always improvements to be made. Excited to see what the solid state tech brings us in future!

Drove it and wasn't impressed at all. A 4 cly engine in a Land Cruiser are you kidding Toyota. Put a small block V-8 under the hood would be more like it and there good on fuel. No Thanks Toyota not this time.
The 1958 on my local dealer was offered 53k. And otd at 58k i think they not selling this and toyota trying to offload them. Testdrove one and im impress tbh.

It's really the worst land cruiser toyota could ever make. The engine is horrible. The battery eats up boot space makes the boot very high & inconvenient. The interiors feel cheap

Which new truck would you buy in 2024 for $30k besides LC?
You can get the premium package non-1958 version for 70k pre tax.

30k? We talking about a Corolla?
bring us the LC300 GX a more basic base utilitarian wagon and get rid of most of the sequoia models and trim opts within the models
Did you buy LC200?
If so then you can ask for 300. I believe Toyota is a business that makes products to sell to make money.
Love the LandCruiser. Just wish it could use regular fuel.
You can. You just sacrifice a mile per gallon or so in fuel economy.
@ you will also void the warranty due to premature detonation over time.
I ran our 8 cylinder LC on 87 for 14 years. No issues at 200k miles.
Don't worry, under Donald Trump we can all afford fuel again.
Does it need premium?
LOVED THE INTRO!
I love it Toyota. I think the middle trims Land Cruiser Land Cruiser instead of that you should called it Land Cruiser “LEGEND”
This what LandCruisers are supposed to be about, getting back to its off-road roots, with comfort.
That's the beauty of it! It's capable and comfortable, no matter where the road takes you 🙌

Toyota pricing is getting out of control.

Great video, but the Land Cruiser doesn't sound that low pitched and growly, at the beginning of the video, lol.
Toyota - quit with the ridiculous de-contenting. No pneumatic hood struts for a 70k vehicle 😂

It needs to be cheaper.
We need a 6 cylinder.
We need standard MTS.

It’s $20K less expensive than the previous model.
When will the real Landcruiser LC300 come to North America?

Can i export this from The US?
2 years warranty and Toyota claims that it’s suitable vehicle for long term ownership. 🤔
Toyota nxt gen fortuner when it will come?
Stainless steel or aluminum body so will last for 20+ years pls. Do this for all Toyota vehicles, the slight extra cost is worth it!
The volume button placement in the North America version is a joke 😂
I’m confused by that. EU version has it in the middle - any clue why?

Too much markups from the dealer. I could maybe afford the 58 msrp but not with 10k mark up. Will probably go with Honda.
