Thankyou Rob, your video of going through Cimmaron Canyon on the way to Red River was oh so beautiful, if not for your videos of northern NM I would never know how beautiful the area is, God Bless you and Dottie, keep up the good work and may you have a lovely day and many more to come.
Rob this will be my 6th winter in the Q, and like you i just really enjoy all that it has to offer, and all the people. I also watched this vlog as if i had never been there 😊 thats how much i enjoy the Q and your commentary on the Q. So looking forward to getting back to the desert.
It's like Chtistmas-you know its coming! Doesn't it seem like you just left? Time flies as we get older. Enjoy NM=Quartzite will be here sooner than you think. Travel safe and God Bless!
Is Ironwood Outpost the one near Family Dollar? Just curious. I still use BCM - I love the people and they know me, but parking can be an issue. I just choose my time of day to go. Great job Rob!
The self contained rule should be clarified in detail; the tank needs to be at least 10 gallons of black fixed. Here is the rules - "The quote from the BLM that includes info on the different areas: "Self-Contained Vehicles a. In Pilot Knob, Midland, Tamarisk, and Hot Springs LTVAs, you may camp only in self-contained camping units. The La Posa, Imperial Dam, and Mule Mountain LTVAs are restricted to self-contained camping units, except within 500 feet of a vault or rest room. b. Self-contained camping units must have a permanent, affixed waste water holding tank of 10-gallon minimum capacity. BLM does not consider port-a-potty systems, systems that utilize portable holding tanks, or permanent holding tanks of less than 10-gallon capacity, to be self-contained."
Free 14 day permits for blm land are available from the camp-host located in each area around Quartzsite. I have obtained one myself. I suspect it is not rigorously enforced.

I think technically yes but I know people personally that have gotten through with a drivers license
You don't need a permit to stay on non LTVA BLM land
