I don't know if you are following this thread but I just want to let you know that the control that connects to that 15 pin that you shorted the pins on not only controls the Master volume for all speakers but also controls the Fader and the center speaker volume and just the Sub volume.
Does he ever actually explain which wires are the input? Why can't we just get the wire explanations without having to watch him for through the hour long process of figuring it out. I'm just trying to splice a different computer/circuitboard on to the speaker .. EDIT: if anyone cares, red and black wires go to the sub, while the white and black wires are mains level inputs that go to the toroid, and then the blue, green and black wires are the output from the rectifier the green is your negative rail while the black is 0v and the blue is positive

i have the same system was wondering if you could possibly assist me with performing the same task as you did as i am unable to see exactly where each wire from the volume control are to be soldered and would hate to do something in error i have all tools and supplies please help
