I'm glad you guys are still around. Radios especially shortwave, are going to be extremely important if the internet goes down.

I’ve had my CC Pocket radio for about 5 years now and use it almost every day. It’s been a great investment!!

Will there ever be another all-new C. Crane radio? Aside from the Solar BT - which obviously has limited uses - it's been a long time since we've seen a new design. I've kept my C. Crane catalogs for years. I used to look forward to the arrival of each one and was thrilled when a new product appeared. Fifteen years ago, the company had quite a variety of radios, including several from Sangean. Now it's as if C. Crane was just a warehouse.

Thank you for your question! We're always working on improving our current products and developing new ones. It's possible that you'll see a new C Crane radio in the future, but we don't have a timeline yet. Please check back on our website for updates.

Would like explanation of non-stop rotary dial for volume control. I either get no sound or very loud. A conventional volume control would be better.

We switched to a non-stop rotary dial to prevent breakage compared to the past conventional volume control. The audio amplifier component was also modified. This is what leads to the louder audio low point.
I understand that the volume level may be too high for your desired listening. If you are using earbuds or headphones, we can offer a short cable with a volume control that can be connected to the radio’s headphone jack and then to the earbuds that will allow you to adjust the volume to a very low level. Please call our Customer Service at (800) 522-8863.

@@ccraneccrane Thanks for the reply and explanation. I will use a different radio when I need a low level on the volume.

What happens when the volume control works but volume does not lower? Is there a reset button?
