Cheers for this mate I’ve got the chords down with this but still struggling on the strumming pattern and chord changes within that pattern. Any advice? Also curious about the outro chords. Love this song too much to not learn it properly
Hey! Thanks for the comment :) great to hear feedback like this and yes probably should have put a bit more time into the strumming pattern discussion. At 1:53 I mention the pattern with downs and ups - if you didn't see that already, it might help, the pattern I describe is "D U D U D U D U D D U". It is a very imprecise description though, I'll break down what I was getting at: Imagine your right hand moving up and down in 16th notes (so for every beat in a bar, your right hand strums D U D U, and for the 4 beats in every bar, that makes 4*4 = 16 movements). If you watch my right hand carefully during the strumming pattern demonstration, you might notice that I continue to move my hand up and down even when I'm not brushing the strings. In my mind, I'm moving my strumming hand to 16th notes, but only sometimes am I actually making contact with the strings. The strumming pattern can be thought of as 'which of the 16 movements you actually hit the strings' Here's a representation of one bar: Beat : 1 e & a 2 e & a 3 e & a 4 e & a RH Movement : D U D U D U D U D U D U D U D U WHEN you hit : * * * * * * * * * * * You'll notice that the asterisks spell out "D U D U D U D U D D U" which is what I described the strumming pattern as. Hope this helps! Let me know if it's still unclear
As for the chords in the outro - it should work fine for a solo arrangement to play the same chords as the chorus for the outro - there is some plucking going on at the very end that I didn't work out - if this comment gets 5 likes I'll post a tab for it in the description though!
thank youuuuu🤩
