Went to Osaka and did this tour with Rodney. It was such a great time! Stand 38 was definitely the highlight. Those ladies that run it are pure energy! Also Rodney was full of energy and knowledge. Totally recommend it!
I lived in Japan back in 1991 and went out drinking one night with the Chefs from the hotel I was working at. They convinced me to try raw chicken. It was cutting across everything that I had learned in cooking school, but I trusted them and it was an interesting experience.

Nice show. Nice episode. Nice whiskies (Laphroaig is my current tipple), and nice boardgames in the attic cupboard. :) Osaka wasn't on my visit if I ever get to Japan list, but it is now!
Thanks so much for all the love everyone!! I’m cracking up at my Kim Kardashian moment at 12:56 🤣 “It’s a little bit frothy, so it *does* taste a little bit like a cloud. Fluffy.” (Make sure to read that in Valley Girl vocal fry.) 😂
"It's like a fluffy, smooth cloud ☁️"- Shizuka Anderson, Food Reviewer.😂 I absolutely love Osaka- especially the nightlife. Went to an amazing place called "Music Bar Groovy" when I was there. The owner plays all sorts of old funk, Rockabilly and other various vinyls. So good!
I'm here because I saw Rodney in the first few seconds and I was like, oh I have to watch, lol. I've met Rodney, cool guy, this is my first time seeing Shizuka though, great video guys!
Loved the chill bar scene in Osaka! Everyone is so friendly, and the drinks look delicious! I'd love to try the whisky bar and chill on their 2nd floor 🍻🙏😭🙌
I used to dj at an afterhours Japanese speakeasy bar in Echo Park/downtown LA, really miss that cool intimate low key vibe- I would love to take a tour with Rodney and Shizzy someday!
there is a Whisky bar hidden away close to Amerikamura called Aquavite (i find it amusing) took med 5 years to finaly go in there amazing spot and the smallest bar with the most whisky i've ever seen in my life
man...my only japan trip exp was WAY too short. I definitely need to visit again..not to mention expanding my knowledge and experience of spirits and whiskeys ;)
Yes. It is all over Japan. My tip is Don’t travel with food, buy & eat it at/outside the Combini & you can throw your trash there. They put a lawsons/familymart sticker on the packaging to prove you bought it there & can use their trash bins.
Ubertoby is correct, there aren't many public trash bins in Japan, people are expected to take care of their own trash. But once you're used to the system it's not a big bother. Carry a plastic bag with you, and dispose of it in a convenience store or train station bin.
I'm amazed that even after all the different beverages and drinks, Shizuka keeps it under control. She is such a professional! I second Rodney's mark about the Nikka from the Barrel being a strong one. I highly recommend it, if you like whiskey that is! Great video guys! Keep it up!

I don't understand why they eat raw chicken meat...even if it was perfectly safe it tastes incomparably better when cooked..
PT 2 Did Not Disappoint. Outstanding Hidden Bars & Drinks. I Am So SAD It's Over. Sure Would Like A PT 3.
More videos coming from Osaka and some include drinking too :)
