It feels like I've already been there and tried all the food, even though I've never actually been in real life! It would be a strange experience to go there for real. I think I would start to feel nostalgic for my 1980s life there that I never had :)
It is a lifelong dream of mine to go to japan before I die. Watching you travel to these wonderful places makes me want it even more. Thank you for sharing your travels with us, you are a joy to watch.

While street food at many other parts of the world often used to get more and more expensive and less tasty over time due to tourism(and thus price goes up and amount/quality of ingredients goes down to increase profit margin), Osaka's street food is different from the rest of the world because the competition there is very fierce and it is a different experience every time you go Osaka! So do make your bookings with JapanByFood next time you visit Japan to enjoy a food experience of a lifetime! Meanwhile, I wish Shizzy, everyone in the JapanByFood production team and everyone here to stay safe and get vaccinated! Oh yeah, and before I go, a small recommendation when ordering Gyoza in Osaka, ask the chef if it is possible to get extra spring onions! Japanese spring onions are really sweet, juicy and goes incredibly well with Gyoza!!! 😍😍😍
I didn't spend much time in Dotonbori during my 2019 trip because I found it too crowded for me. I did try the matcha-filled melon pan there on the recommendation of my homestay host (I didn't find out about melon pan until 2 days before the end of my trip, not knowing would have been a travesty!)

Suppose to be my 1st time in Osaka back in March 2020 but decided to cancel due to Pandemic was starting to get serious in Thailand : ( (On the bright side our cancellation got full refund both Fare and Accommodation, only lost about $100 from pre-purchase Metro pass)
When I saw ＂crab battera", I salivated. Usually mackerel is used for "battera", crab battera, which i 've never tasted, must be good, too. I recommend you to eat "puffer fish battera" in Osaka.
That shooting parlor at 14.20 is just plain dodge! Its almost impossible to miss but nothing moves! Such tourist trap! 🤣 Still fun when your a tourist tho..!

Osaka's local slogan may be to "Continue eating even if it will cause them to go bankrupt", Tokyo too have a local slogan which is to "Continue shopping even if it will cause them to go bankrupt". That just goes to show how much pride the Japanese people put into their work that even financial ruins won't be able to stop them!

My first real crab sushi was at Kani Doraku back in 2010. Made a big impact on me on how good crab sushi could really taste.

Dotunburi in this video looked wayyyyyy less crowded compared with my previous visit in 2018
