I think why this series is so great is that like 80% of the player base wants to relive the experience of the MSQ and you present it in a much more digestible way than all the cutscenes in a row.
I just finished ARA and I gotta say, while ARR is a LOT of filler at least the scripted battles were actual battles. ARA felt like a Nomura Final Fantasy game, all cutscenes and magic mumbo-jumbo to try and explain in excruciating detail why I need to go to the next place and kill more things.

So I only just beat Heavensward base content this week after half a year of play If I need to charge through the rest of the expansions in a single month to keep up with the epic of Mad Because Small, I will fucking do it.
I forget the exact name of the section, but there's a makeup/tattoo/facepaint section that has that eyebrow paint, IIRC. Looks like they added them and then made the tattoo color black, I would assume!

I think the worst part of the cutscenes is the fact they end then you walk like 10ft and get another.
