I’m going to share this video with everybody in my organization. We all use google sheets to collaborate, but most don’t understand the basics of sharing. He goes on for about 12 minutes of basics that, if everyone knew them, would make our lives a lot easier. I didn’t know about the search for actionable comments though. I apologize if this is covered elsewhere. I can't seem to find a solution. Am I able to make these "locks" from editors to not edit certain sections. And not allow editors or viewers to save or print on mobile? I reuse the same Google sheet and when I duplicate my base the setting change. Is there a way to access these tools on my mobile device, or is it restricted to computer only? Tia!!! Hope that makes sense!
Your channel is one of the most usefull channels on youtube! Can you please make a video about User Authorisation for CRUD? How to make it? I try to make it by myself but failed several times. Need your help
This depends on circumstances: 1. If your users are all a part of the same Google Workspace domain then you could simply get their email and compare to a list/value Logger.log(Session.getActiveUser().getEmail()) . This will be quite easy, but only works for users from the same domain. 2. Setup a project in google dev console for Google Auth API and build a whole system in the apps script backend to verify tokens. This is annoying for 2 reasons. a) you have to get it approved in dev console, otherwise it will be blocked. b) you need to build a system to verify tokens because none of the existing libraries will be compatible for apps script environment unless there is some third party library around I don't know. 3. build the whole thing in the sheets generating your own tokens, keeping track of sessions, etc. This will be too much work and IMO not worth it. Also since apps script does not accept headers in requests it makes it weird and not very secure.
Olivia and Kyle been through alot together. But atleast they stil share things together in the end... Hope they will get along again like they first did 😢
IS THERE ANY WAY TO GET LARGE DATA (PROBABLY 3000 ROWS AND 10 COLUMNS) FROM DIFFERENT SPREADSHEET OTHER THAN USING IMPORTRANGE FUNCTION IN GOOGLE SHEET. BECAUSE IMPORTRANGE FUNCTION NOT WORKING PROPERLY.

You can add, remove users using a script and basically recreate user's behavior, but you can't change the functionality.
