This video is everything. I can’t thank you enough lol I bought my 2016 1SS a few months ago and I am constantly switching driving modes and switching between auto and manual trying to achieve a consistent exhaust note cause it was always cutting out ! Pretty much the only thing that bothered about the car. Thanks again

Dude! You just fixed my ONLY complaint about this car; 2019 1SS. Before the pull, while in 6th gear cruising with a slight press on the accelerator, there would be a noticeable delay (2-3 seconds) in the transition from a quiet to a loud exhaust note while in track mode. Was annoying AF! Now, there is not transition and has a constant loud exhaust note like with a regular car with an aftermarket exhaust. Zero delay. I drove for about 15 miles and there was NOT a check engine light that popped.
It's a 5 years old video, I just got recommended today, and I did pull the fuse out my 2018 RS Redline right after watching your video, lol, the only youtuber I trusted in terms of camaro modifications. yes, the car does go silence while normal cruising, guess not anymore, I always put my music on so barely hear them, now I can appreciate the stock NPP exhaust more. Lol, I did look into the quad exhuast tips, the outter ones are having the flaps/valves, just a round piece of metal, I guess you can even take them out. I will see if it will pop any codes in the future. I am already start to saving for the 7th Gen Hybrid, AWD, more power, the better.

Btw Sledge, and anyone else, there are plastic pliers within the fuse box itself. They are on the lower left corner and are white.

do your valves still stay wide open after your car warms up after a cold start or does the sound quiet down some from the valves closing

I have had my 2019 camaro SS for close to 4 years now. When I get it back tomorrow from getting my AC fixed, I’m going to try the fuse removal. Main reason is, people insist the valves still close in track mode. Also, I always drive in sport mode which I personally thought sounded better. But the majority has spoken. This she’ll be done and if I get a code, should be simple to correct.

i pulled the fuse on mine and it popped up a check engine light! good thing i had a code reader and was able to clear it. rather then goin to the dealer and explaining why my camaro with 1400 miles on the dash has a check engine light on
Mine did the same, my $20 code reader from Walmart took care of that.

Good news!! Check engine light is gone... I guess it picked up on the fuse... but on a 2017 SS 1le do not mess with the fuse lol
just picked up a 18' NGM 1ss 1le. have corsa extreme here gonna put it on tomorrow I believe. should I still pull the fuse? and it won't throw a check engine light right?

Thanks for that. First of all it worked. But when I pulled the fuse, the sunroof was without function, although it is secured by another fuse(F45). Any ideas someone ? 😅

There is no difference. Easier just to keep it open in the settings for engine sound

Hi, I have a question refering to fuses. I want to install a wireless camera in the front. Therefore I need a positive pole from the fuse box which is online activated when the ignition is activated. I want to connect it via a mirco2 fuse adapter, but I do not find a port which I can use. The empty fuse ports have no wirering within the port. Can you maybe help me? THX and greetings from Germany. Correct me if I’m wrong lethal, I did the same thing but had my engine sound management on track prior, while also turned the car off in track mode before the pull.
I’m sure it worked because definitely from slight acceleration and when cruising I hear the exhaust more and no close or muffle.
I honestly think GM disabled this fix on 17-19
Hey love the videos, huge help! I recently installed a CAI and after reconnecting the battery the driver side window won't go up completely. I've looking how to reset the window indexing memory but everything is for the gen 5s and doesn't work for my 2016 SS. Didn't know if you could tell/show how to reset this window? Thanks!

Any suggestions? the valves are stuck open even with the fuse pulled. The front of the steering wheel there’s a loud sharp vibrating sound. And V4 sounds like trash! After pulling the fuse.
Just got mine in 1lt v6 rs white with silver rally stripes and was thinking of replacing the knee pad trim kit to white but am not sure how to remove them could you do a video on that .
+Javier Villanueva Just pull up on them! They just pop right off very easily. I did it with minimum effort the other day after looking them over. I want to get blue ones. I saw a picture of blue ones being available, but can't find a part number now!
I’m having a problem with my alarm , what’s the fuse for the alarm system to pull .
when i drive my car on highway valves closed and when i push gas its take lettle late to open with high rpm !!!
More light! Lol! I did this a few days ago. I just missed your video. The change in sound was very subtle for me. If I'm in 5th or 6th steady state on the freeway and I just tip-in the throttle, I get a deeper note that I didn't have before. Other than that I haven't noticed much.Yeah, I used the fusebox lid as a guide. I used the little tool to pull the fuse that's in the fusebox. I stored the NPP fuse in the "spare fuse" section inside the fusebox.Have you noticed much difference yet in sound?

I kinda wish they added a switch to select tour, sport, track and always open ONLY for the NPP valves.

Yoo lethal I hope you see this to get a response just had LT headers installed and tune for the e85 I ran the headers the stock npp until I can get stainless works axle back but I noticed the car sounds like the AFM is still kicking it into b4 dash shows that it isn’t stays in v8 my question is could you pull the npp fuse and the AFM and ask the tuner to get rid of the check engine light or what you think I hate the sound it makes when I think it’s going into v4 sounds horrible lol hope you see this 🤞

Lol I have always noticed my valves still close with the fuse pull when the car warms up from a cold start is that normal or should it always have that cold start sound.
Redzone I have a 2017 camaro ss automatic and o pulled the fuse and i still noticed my valves close up too. Not sure what the Issue is
I think after the car warms up either the valves on the middle of the pipes close or maybe your car is just warmed up and lowers it’s rpm

V6 and 4cyl? There is no NPP on any of those I don't think. I believe only in the ZL1 and the SS have the NPP.
I personally never ever heard nor ever expect to hear any sort of deep throaty tone with a 4 or 6cyl. I could be wrong tho but Shut her down if she sounds rice.
@@kens5605 mine before I sold it was a V6 and was so deep people always thought it was a V8 til I opened the hood especially she I would take it to OSW for 1/4 mile days

I literally have no response from my 2016 SS After attempts to jumpstart from tow company he had to transport her on a flatbed. I have replaced the battery and the batteries in the fob. I have no instrument panel, no power to doors, seats. I have to climb through the back seat to open the trunk. Some would say it’s in theft mode. Okay. Now what?? Could it be a loose ground?? Where do I start. The 350 amp fuse has also been discussed. Again I have a DEAD CAR. I will randomly get headlights and dome lights, horn. Also I can’t get it out of park. Where would you begin??? Recently divorced and on a tight budget. Good riddance to him, he was insanely jealous of the attention I got in my Camaro. Any and all advice is extremely appreciated. Thank you. Joshua Gunter you can accomplish this without a fuse pull by going into drive mode menu on mylink and selecting track under sound menu. it retains all other characteristics of tour minus exhaust note
@@great_usurper that is incorrect . At cruising speed the spo valve closes slightly and makes your expensive investmentbsound like a 4.6 mustang . Pull the damn fuse
I just pulled the fuse on my 2017 camaro ss 1le and I got a check engine light. Now I have to call the dealer to fix it
+Hector Estrada if you put the fuse back it will correct itself after a handful of miles. But GM may have put a trigger in the OS for 17.

My 2017 2SS did not throw any CEL by simply removing that fuse.

Turn the car off in sport mode and than pull the fuse.

Its set to close slightly to create some back pressure at higher speeds so it won't lean out.

I tried this on my M6 but what it did was just have the exhaust make track mode sound...even in stealth mode the sound stayed the same. maybe it's because mines manual?so I just put the fuse back
