- Yesterday, the Education Ministry unveiled India's groundbreaking new education policy. In this video, I analyse the positives and negatives of this policy. I talk about how the multiple streaming option, vocational training has been finally introduced for school students. The 10+2 academic system has been changed to 5+3+3+4 system. Board exams have been made easier and critical thinking skills and self evaluation have been imparted in the system. I also talk about the cons of the NEP 2020 like the new language policy where regional language is to be used as the language of instruction

The policy is really good apart from a few negative points but that's OK
Main concern is implementation. We don't have a suitable infrastructure and mentality yet to bring in these changes.
-Lack of teachers with good knowledge
-Parents mentality to always top in schools
-Focus on only getting jobs in prestigious MNCs
-Non enterprenual culture
These are just few things which need to be fixed first
if this works tho we will have many brilliant people coming from our country that will work for the country as they will be hesitant to go out of the country due to a much bigger language barrier, this will greatly reduce brain drain and india is already known for its brilliant students and workers in the outside world which could lead india to go leaps and bounds ahead

It is the first time I support any Government Decision😁🙂, I agree with this New Education Policy.
Though the policy is really good.. But the biggest apprehension is the governments implementation,as all it previous records goes it always makes lot of noise without any real efforts. This hopefully should not put the students future in peril with half baked implementation.
Moreover taking away the power from the states can make it even riskier...We all have seen it highly pompous demonetization policy.. This government almost always bosses around without giving room for discussion..
Let's all hope sincerely that for once the government does something good

और अब सभी छात्र-छात्राएं BCom arts or Science मैं विभाजित है l

@@shyamsingla716 by my experience at least in engineering it doesn't strictly matter how much you have learnt in 12th. They will teach you all the actual important things in much better way by the 1st year itself.
Today is 28th February 2024, I have been giving my 12th Boards recently which are still going on. Looking forward I see that the new education policy was proposed in 2020, yet coming back to 2024, I see that nothing of this has been implemented yet . I personally coming from a science background would have loved to pursue economics as well as political science, but unfortunately I can't. Would be going to a college in few months, I don't know if this policy would be ever implemented or not, also how practical it is. Hoping that our upcoming generation should get this, and they get free from rote learning and lack of freedom in education which we all have lost.
Would come back on this in the future to see any update on this.

The initial pages of CBSE syllabus list down every subject and there's nothing like u have to study in streams...but then schools are the problem, they don't have all the subjects and u have to choose what they've to offer

Back in 2020, when government announced this NEP ,i was very glad to know and it was the same year i had passed my 12th and was to ready for college, i took admission in BTech, now after 4 years my engineering is about to finish but this NEP has still not been implemented by government,

Blaming the education system
One of the worst thing in our education system is, it emphasize lot on rote memorization.
The best technique to get rid of it is, open book examination which are meant to test understanding level and critical thinking of students.
I am in USA, my daughter here experienced open book examination for few tests.
Seriously it’s wonderful. Question were based on application, synthesis, critical thinking and creative ability. Students need not to full their mind with lots of information by cramming rather they need to use their mind creatively and critically to answer.
I am a teacher educator, use to teach these concepts theoretically to B.Ed students. Now hoping that, these will be implemented practically and education system in India will improve.

I'm glad that government is implementing the NEP 2020 [ I knew slowly but at least they are doing] CUET a big step, dual degree at the same time, multiple entry exit all the above things are implemented successfully from 2022 batch and I'm lucky to be a part of this.

In odisha We have done diploma in elementary education. But according. to NEP for a teacher integrated B. Ed required. So now odisha govt. Not giving jobs to trained elementary teachers. So our 3 years of training is a waste!

Yes, govt is planning to make changes to teachers training programs also, so hopefully this issue will also change probably!
Teachers should also be trained accordingly as they are the ones who are guiding the children

On top of that in smaller states even class 12 passed people are becoming teachers
In my engg college, I had worse teachers. They just hired them on low wages, some of them were pursuing masters from the same college. AND college fees? 1 freaking lacs per year.

Class should be divided into sections which are
1. Students who want to choose regional language till 5 th class.
2. Students who want to have english as the medium for assistance.
This way the immigrated students won't suffer any loss in studies.
Immigrated student can Learn our Indian Languages Like Hindi ,English ,Tamil,Telugu,Bangla,Gujrati
