The truth is it doesn’t matter if you make a videos on this . Indian Parents or Strict parents from any country won’t change . They suppress our thoughts and humiliate our thoughts and make us to doubt ourselves . If we went on arguing, They say I will leave you and god will also not be with you , all type of bad luck comes to you . They blackmail us in these ways . There is no solution for this . Tbh don’t take me rude but , this problem ends only when their generation ends because their whole generation grown up in those situations. It’s not their fault but atleast they should try to change , but they are not changing now also 😢 .

I am a 16 y/o. I've already decided of becoming a graphic designer. I know my parents are strictly against it but it's not the reason to give up. @@alfabeta6817 education is not overrated. Formal education is. Those people you are talking about, most of them read hundreds of books from different countries. That's how they enrich their knowledge. If you were to come upon Ab Lincoln I don't think even a graduate will be way smarter than him except in things that came after Lincoln died. Lincoln was a great speaker and writer and he wasn't too dissimilar to a current top employee of a fortune 500 company or any other persons who succeeded because of their formal education. All this is to say that you can't just become Lincoln or even Elon Musk by quitting your school/ College. You have to take the next step that they took too and make it so that you not only don't lack behind people who are more formally educated but you lead those very people. By the way I just remembered that Lincoln was an advocate so you can't call him uneducated can you?

Hey Dhruv , doesnot matter how much you say , but our parents will find out arguments for even that. I am 200% sure that my parents would say " yeh zayada TH-cam dekh dekhke sikh rahi hai " " sunati hai woh ek ladke ko jo aata hai aur badi badi baate karta hai ". You spoke my mind for every single minute of this video. I was kind of low esteemed , and self doubting myself because of no parents support and their continuous 'tane ' since i have decided a non conventional career for me . But this video relieved my pressure and made me feel little confident . Btw i had spoken this line a lot of times " yeh meri life hai , mujhe decide karne do mujhe kya Banna hai " but in reply what i get "abhi humare under hai , humari Sunni padegi !!! " . I am tired of my parents who think i am their slave. 😤 Moreover , they are money givers . And if i think of earning myself like freelancing and all, they say " abhi bahut samay hai , aage paise hi kamne hai zindagi bhar " . And they become very polite at this moment ,maybe they know that if i become financially independent, they will lose the control over me .

My family will support me for whatever I study in college but due to lack of exposure I'm doing what most people are doing that is studying for entrance exams.. I want to explore other fields but the schools n the society don't give any guidance n exposure regarding these things

@@Moonjir I'm 17 and now in 12th standard. I opted PCM and Wanted to do online prp , but my parents wanted to go offline but later they let me choose online course and I'm doing well there. Before that , in 11th I was exploring digital marketing and they allowed me to give time in it and i earned my first wages working online (440 rupees 😅 ) but later I continued to focus on my studies and now that's what I'm doing now .

This is so true. I'm in class 12 and everyone around me is either going for NEET or JEE. I don't have interest in any of those two fields. I don't even know much about other things because of this limited exposure to other fields and jobs. Infact my Mother is actually really open minded and tells me to follow my passion but I am so confused right now. I want to discuss with my friends to get idea of other aspects of jobs but most or all of them as just NEET or JEE aspirants. It's not like it's their dreams, they're just following what their parents are asking them to follow. Sir, I saw your video on the 'Dark Reality of the Indian Education System'. Indeed, we are still not exploring various curricular options in schools or junior colleges. Till 12th grade, I wasn't aware of the stream called 'Social Work'. And now I am a graduate with Bachelor's in Social Work. I am a Professional Social Worker but, it's very difficult for me to explain to people about this field despite having a very famous Social Work institution 'Tata Institution of Social Science ' (TISS). I think it is because of not getting licenses like other professional fields like Advocates/lawyers or Doctors etc. I think it must be because people can only see what is recognized or have licenses. I wished if you could make some videos to help layman to get knowledge about Professional Social Workers. It will be great for me as people will get to know about this field.

If anything personally will try to do for kids, then we called as overambitious, over pampering the kids, etc. At last I felt like its better to leave that career....

We had a career counselling workshop in our school. For Humanities students the only career that was suggested was Law, and clearing CLAT. Needless to say that we, the students, could think of a hundred more careers than Law.
So true. I just gave my 10th ICSE boards this year and whenever someone asks me about my chosen stream I have to add "CLAT for Law" after I say humanities because I know they will judge me if I don't say that. So shameful of the society.

Regarding the ambiguity effect , from childhood we have been taught that its better to choose the option that had been done by relatives or other person who have done well in that field. Not only by parents but also in proverbs like "A bird in hand is better than two in bush" the same idea is being conveyed through ages and I think this should be changed.

That's how they enrich their knowledge. If you were to come upon Ab Lincoln I don't think even a graduate will be way smarter than him except in things that came after Lincoln died. Lincoln was a great speaker and writer and he wasn't too dissimilar to a current top employee of a fortune 500 company or any other persons who succeeded because of their formal education. All this is to say that you can't just become Lincoln or even Elon Musk by quitting your school/ College. You have to take the next step that they took too and make it so that you not only don't lack behind people who are more formally educated but you lead those very people. By the way I just remembered that Lincoln was an advocate so you can't call him uneducated can you?

You spoke my mind for every single minute of this video. I was kind of low esteemed , and self doubting myself because of no parents support and their continuous 'tane ' since i have decided a non conventional career for me .
But this video relieved my pressure and made me feel little confident .
Btw i had spoken this line a lot of times " yeh meri life hai , mujhe decide karne do mujhe kya Banna hai " but in reply what i get "abhi humare under hai , humari Sunni padegi !!! " .
I am tired of my parents who think i am their slave. 😤

The influence of society, and my surroundings forced me to take a field in which I don't like, this realization came after I joined the college. I'm just crying and feeling uncomfortable after I joined the college thinking if am I in the right place or not. I opted PCM and Wanted to do online prp , but my parents wanted to go offline but later they let me choose online course and I'm doing well there.
Before that , in 11th I was exploring digital marketing and they allowed me to give time in it and i earned my first wages working online (440 rupees 😅 ) but later I continued to focus on my studies and now that's what I'm doing now .

This is so true. I'm in class 12 and everyone around me is either going for NEET or JEE. I don't have interest in any of those two fields. I don't even know much about other things because of this limited exposure to other fields and jobs. Infact my Mother is actually really open minded and tells me to follow my passion but I am so confused right now. I want to discuss with my friends to get idea of other aspects of jobs but most or all of them as just NEET or JEE aspirants. It's not like it's their dreams, they're just following what their parents are asking them to follow. Im so confused right now because I want to become a writer or psychologist but there doesn't seem to be much scope in India

Sir, I saw your video on the 'Dark Reality of the Indian Education System'. Indeed, we are still not exploring various curricular options in schools or junior colleges. Till 12th grade, I wasn't aware of the stream called 'Social Work'. And now I am a graduate with Bachelor's in Social Work. I am a Professional Social Worker but, it's very difficult for me to explain to people about this field despite having a very famous Social Work institution 'Tata Institution of Social Science ' (TISS). I think it is because of not getting licenses like other professional fields like Advocates/lawyers or Doctors etc. I think it must be because people can only see what is recognized or have licenses. I wished if you could make some videos to help layman to get knowledge about Professional Social Workers. It will be great for me as people will get to know about this field.

💯👌 I am a teacher I can understand what exactly is going on in our education system, system is design in such a way that we hardly get time with the students to interact with them personally... If anything personally will try to do for kids, then we called as overambitious, over pampering the kids, etc.
At last I felt like its better to leave that career....

We had a career counselling workshop in our school. For Humanities students the only career that was suggested was Law, and clearing CLAT.
Needless to say that we, the students, could think of a hundred more careers than Law.
So true. I just gave my 10th ICSE boards this year and whenever someone asks me about my chosen stream I have to add "CLAT for Law" after I say humanities because I know they will judge me if I don't say that. So shameful of the society.

Regarding the ambiguity effect , from childhood we have been taught that its better to choose the option that had been done by relatives or other person who have done well in that field. Not only by parents but also in proverbs like "A bird in hand is better than two in bush" the same idea is being conveyed through ages and I think this should be changed.
Nowadays no one cares about the knowledge that a student gains, but all they want to know is how much you have scored in exams.
And exams too, all they really care about is how much you can memorize and write.

Absolutely correct. In advanced countries like USA if someone ask the children what they would like to become their a lot of different types of answers starting from a baker or a farmer to chemist. But in India it's always either engineering or medical. Slowly civil service is also getting the same vibe.
