    Does it work with tyres that have pressure sensors? Thank you.

      No, they have a sensor on the inside that requires the tire to come off the bead to replace it.

    Can I do it with a tire with a air pressure gauge system??

      It will not work with TPMS valve stems. This have a large sensor in them and will not pull out.

    I imagine you can heat up the valve stem to make it more pliable for inserting.

      I never thought of that, but it sounds like a reasonable idea. Thanks.

    So, would it work to put a little soapy water on the hook so that the valve stem would not be torn?

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That might. I usually try to take it easy on it so it does not break.

      @@SeidelRanch Sounds good but for those of us who haven't done this job before, it can be hard to tell how
      much force is needed. This looks like one of those jobs that isn't too bad, once we've done it a time or two.

      @@edb3877Taking the stem out is not that hard other than trying to keep from breaking it and leaving part in the tire. Pushing the new one in takes some force and some type of lubricant is needed I think.

      @@SeidelRanch I haven't worked with tires too much but when I did I used soapy water to lube the rubber parts enough to get them on.
      My problem with most jobs is applying too much force and breaking something. Would not want to do that with a tire valve stem.

    How hard is it to change? Can anyone do it?

      It's not hard to do from a skill perspective, but you do have to have some power to push it into the wheel.

    Thought it can help at a shop i work in but this is just too time consuming. Plus rubber bit can fall inside and this is massive mistake to leave it in, in commercial setting.
    Also you did one mistake, you have to go in with a file and clean up that rust, otherwise you did that job for nothing

    You took out a High pressure valve stem and put in a low pressure valve in.

    • @SeidelRanch
      @SeidelRanch  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Really? I did not see any pressure ratings. That is good to know. How can I tell the difference?
