Mosquitos on the Alvord are the only thing that makes me glad for the wind out there. Although I think some of the little pests are getting strong enough to buck a 30 mph wind now! 😖
@@ChambersFamilyOverland yeah, we took one to Alaska! It was the kind that uses their own little fuel cartridge, and it definitely helps! It's not going to solve the problem, but it was noticeable. That and picaridin lotion helped a ton!
We had so much fun! We got to see places in Oregon we had never been to before, and those locations were stunning. The mosquito plague just made the trip that much more memorable. You guys are truly the best. Can't wait for the next group adventure!
Nice video. I've been following your channel for a long time now and enjoy watching all of the fun. I do have a question for you. I too have a full size Ram pickup. It's hard to find accessories for the full size rigs. I am looking for a roof rack right now. What one do you have and do you like it? Thank you in advance for your time.
I have a rhino rack with the backbone. Mine is the v1 the v2’s are out now. I have not heard a single bad thing about it. My v1 has some wind noise but now I’m totally used to it. I walk on it, it’s pretty sweet.
What a fun adventure for you guys, but now I’m itching!
That place is so magical. What an awesome sunset, too bad the mosquitos were such a-holes! It looked like a fun time though!

Oh those pesky Alvord mosquitos!! Were definitely bringing the bug tent next year when we go back! Great video!!
It was wild. I think that’s the 3rd or 4th time we’ve been there never experienced them like that there haha… might be time for a thermacell
Crazy about the skeeters, we've never had 'em bad on the playa! But it's been almost exactly two years, so it's time to head back!
Such an incredible place. Have you ever tried thermacell?

I still haven’t made it out to the Alvord, but good to know about the mosquitoes! Nice spot near Black Butte, great area. 🤙🏼
With your new setup Alvord would be IDEAL!!!
@@ChambersFamilyOverland I have the last week of March off, I may have to keep an eye on the weather out that way.
Darn mosquitoes! I can’t believe they were that bad in Sept! Otherwise looks like a good time 😁
Always some kind of adventure. Maybe someday things will be nice and chill……. But what fun would that be? Haha
Hey Cousin! looking forward to getting out there with you guys one day. I got the jeep dialed in now! Keep me posted. Love your content.
