To be fair to this game, it deserves far more than the diluted praise it has received here, and the stunning parallax levels deserve far more than the dismissive, tired, and entirely inaccurate implication that the C64's predominant colour is brown. This game is a superb effort, and all the more amazing considering it's a single-load running in 64K with several hundred bytes to spare!
To put this into context, a vertical shooter, developed by a team (Zeta Wing was developed solely by Sarah), was recently released on the CPC with only four simplistic levels, jerky scrolling and sprite movement at a fraction of Zeta Wing's frame-rate, less than half the number of objects on screen, less than half the animation frames, zero parallax, severe colour restrictions, laughable power-ups, tiny sprites and bosses, yet a multi-load requiring 128K! However, this game received nothing but heaps of unconditional praise from the CPC community, with a crazy few claiming it's far better than anything on the C64!
Super talented developers such as Sarah, and brilliant games such as Zeta Wing, deserve far more recognition and support from the retro community.

Bought it a few days ago, and can gladly say it's a great game. Between this and Soul Force you have got to admire the talent on show here. These are top notch games from someone showing just what the C64 was and is capable of.

Wow, superb effort. I love the pace of the sprites and firing, just spot on for my liking, I can see already I would enjoy playing this. Terrific stuff!

paralax on 4th stage reminds me of the level in MUSHA where the tiles fall away and you are flying above a huge crevice

Hi downloaded this last night, have the d64 and prg file. I assumed it was a zip file but it won't do anything. I have a c64 mini obviously want to put on usb stick to play on it. Can anyone advise.
