Vampire Vengeance was brilliant fun. The vampire's face made me mock have him talk while playing. One of my favorites of the year.
Thanks for this episode and mentioning my game EVIL DUNGEON II.
Thanks for making an entertaining game that is easy to play, hard to master.
@@RetroGamerNation Thank you so much.
It looks like a lot of fun! Great job
Thanks!@@erikrounds
Hell Beneath reminds me of a modern roguelite like Vampire Survivors in terms of how you upgrade your abilities when leveling up and how you are constantly firing. I might have to pick that one up.
Always nice to see a new episode.
Darkland 2 looks like an Alan Wake demake. mazing that 40 year old hardware is still being used and pushed.
Hell Beneath is almost like Vampire Survivors on the C64. Laserscape looks fun as does Vampire Vengeance. Giving a nice Halloween vibe to this episode!
Neat picture gallery as well and a mouthwatering preview section. Boy, does Bone Dry look classy! Thanks again Louie!
Bone Dry looks incredibe, but hats off to Darkland 2 - that's the best use of SEUCK I've ever seen tbh - SEUCK will never do a good fast-paced bullet hell so getting creative within its limitations is awesome
Great Video. Briley Witch 2 is my favourite this Christmas.
Some very interesting games yet again. Bone Dry is looking great.
Been playing Vampire Vengeance a lot. It’s a puzzle platformer that needs some planning, albeit the collision is typically 8 bit annoying. Could do with having a weapon as you fly as the bat, and often the enemies respawn annoyingly. I got to level 13.
Great video as always.
Great video.
That Hell Breath looks a bit like Vampyre Survivors on the C64 in some ways.. I like the direction he is going. :)
Yey, can't wait to play Blair witch 2!
Can’t wait for the chaos engine! I’m very curious about the translation of the soundtrack as well.
I only remember using my Commodore 64 for programming mostly. It is really strange playing games on it for me and glad I focused on coding in the 1980s as it helped me earn a living later. This product had a very appliance feel and easy to use. Games were not as fun as the consoles from that era.
That is some great insight, love your description. In Australia it was all C64 from a gaming perspective. The consoles barely got a look in.
Bone Dry looks very cool, as does the chaos engine update.
Even if Sarah manages to release Briley 2 this year, I imagine there will be plenty of bug fixes before it's really finished.
Vampire Vengeance looks like a lot of fun.
Great video once more. Thanks.
What I like about Vampire Vengeance ( apart from it being apparently a very nice game) is that you play a baddie for a change 😊
On Briley 2, it would be interesting to know whether Sarah has listened to the feedback and e.g. made the battle system less time taking, which was a major point of critique. And also, I desperately want a cool collectors edition, of both parts! 😅
Unfortunately, I don't think I have heard Sarah make any reference to making the battle system more refined. I hope there is a change in this area as this one the one and only element of the game that I found to be annoying.
chaos engine looks brilliant.
Great video. Personally I am very excited for Briley 2
It is great to see more people express their excitement for Briley 2. I am really looking forward to sitting down with the game.
Blair witch 2, my type of game :)
nice games!
First game looks like 1982
Yes the graphics on Hell Beneath are a little primitive.
The Chaos Engine needs different colors and needs to be FULL screen and over lay the Score and status board OVER the background so that some of the Background still shows giving you the impression the game fills the Screen. C64 Already has a tiny screen, why do coders keep making it smaller with these Rasters covering the Action? But I am stoked for this to be good. Also the character in this screen needs to look different, he looks weird like from another game.
There are two advantages to a smaller playing area - it makes it easier to scroll/move colours, and to shift graphics to avoid glitches.
Meteor shower looks a bit pointless. 🤷
Yes, it does come off that way. I know it was quickly made for one of those quick flash compos but the coder has already established themselves to be far better than what is produced.
@@RetroGamerNation it looked like it was going to be a pang clone
