At least now 10 million viewers will remember the incredible strength of that beautiful zebra in Kenya. She fought incredibly hard that day. What a warrior!
I believe this particular zebra, was a strong supporter of the worldwide feminist movement, and in feeding herself to the crocodiles, she said in a way that would echo throughout nowhere ever , "Yes we female Zebras can be eaten at the same rate as our male counterparts "! ...
animals are a lot more resistant to pain and blood loss in those situations than we humans are, they go into adrenaline shock and feel little pain and lose a lot less blood, it's all cause of harsh environment, everything can be deadly in the wilderness, so in order to survive animals evolved and their bodies adopted to those kind of situations, I'm not saying that this zebra would survive if she managed to escape, that damage was too big, but if, for example, crocodile ripped of a piece of a flash from her, doing only external damage that zebra would survive 100%, bleeding would be stopped, scab would be formed, if there is no infections that zebra would be perfectly fine over some time, we humans also have that adrenaline shock that slows down bleeding and pain but not even close to the level animals have it, i hope it helps you a little with that topic
There have been many comments suggesting a bridge be built for the zebras to cross the river I understand your sympathy for the zebra. However, the other side of the river is the country of Tanzania. So, it would have to be an international bridge between the countries of Kenya and Tanzania. Also, the Masai Mara wildlife park is trying to stay as natural as possible without creating man-made structures such as bridges. In addition, there are many other rivers the zebras must cross to get to their food source. Should there be bridges built everywhere for the zebras to use? You would need to build a bridge every few hundred feet for hundreds of miles. Even then the animals might not choose to even use the bridge. The Crocodiles can also lay and wait on top of bridges too. Kenya is a 3rd world county with many other issues that should take priority over building bridges for zebras. Also, if the crocodiles all starve and die it will throw off the balance of nature. It would have tragic consequences. I know people believe zebras are cute and most people don't find crocodiles to be beautiful. That doesn't mean that crocodiles are evil and zebras are good. Thank you for watching.
You build a bridge for zebras and wildebeest and the crocs starve and die. Many zebras and wildebeest survive the crossing and exhaust grasslands faster than can be replenished by the short rains. Then all of them starve. Next comes lions and other predators. The finally the hyenas. Over time it will recover but the damage will be immense
Do you think that a bridge would result as a extintion for the crocs? They just survived a extintion event by a metheorit. The zebra population won't increase due to other predators as lions. Please build a bridge for them, the horrorific way to go by crocs is insane!
It is terrifying being in the shoes of that zebra, I know this is nature and it has been like this for thousands of years, but the mere idea of being pinned down on the water, with half face completely destroyed, and being unable to even make an attempt to escape, knowing that it's just a matter of time until the crocodiles decide to drown you, rip you apart, or wait a little longer until you bleed to death, It gives me horrible chills.
Personally, I find it inspiring that the zebra never gave up. I’ve seen people give up for far less, but the zebra kept fighting even when there was no hope
At one point, there were four zebra who turned around to try to help the zebra that was being attacked by crocodiles. They started stomping in the shallow water to in an attempt to try to scare away the crocodiles. It did not work, but it was very touching to me to see the zebras actually try to save one from their herd.
I’ve never seen so many people try and make out that this isn’t normal. Nature will always be like this. And for people saying they would of killed the crocs, that’s so much worse than what the croc did to the zebra. Just shooting a whole load of animals that are just trying to stay alive by eating is pathetic. People need to grow up and realise the animal kingdom is all about survival.
It's called survival of the fittest for a reason. Pitying one animal over another doesn't make it right. They gotta eat too. Also if your face is THAT fucked up you might as well let them finish you off. Anything that hinders you from surviving is gonna be a problem, might as well get it over with.
People need to understand regardless that this is nature, all things need to eat to survive. Unfortunately this Zebra had a terrible ending with it's face being deathrolled off.
poor thing =( yes yes..its nature..nature is cruel blahblah i know..but its stil devatatn watching the poor thing! and his fate was solidified apparently. that croc had chances to get dozens of crossing zebras but he was the one.. ;(
It was the bit where the zebra looked to see where the rest of the herd were whilst accepting its fate that got me ... ... it's the reality/nightmare some of us live on a daily basis .
@@trevorjames1030 yes!! and just the struggle! ugh :( it wasn't a very quiet death at all. I know its life but when seeing it it's awful and sad. although I know a lot of people/humans out there that are worse than that gator/crocodile. humans are disgusting anymore :(
The dislikes are from vegans and others who think that animals like wild dogs, crocodiles, lions, and other predators should be exterminated from the planet due to the way they hunt, but they also say they say care so much for nature even though they think that predators who are carnivores should starve to death rather than them hunting.
There was no point for the zebra to try to escape after its face was ripped unless it prefered to spend the rest of its life with a deformed face than rest in peace.
Sad how hypocritical people can be, literally justifying the extinction of crocodiles because of this. It’s nature, wake the hell up, industrial farm animals in millions of places suffer worse than this on a daily basis because of us, yet nobody seems to bat a eye at that.. Not to even mention how important a crocodile is for its ecosystem, like dang, this just upsets me that people can have such a mindset like this.
@Cuddles They're literally saying "kill crocs with a sniper" aren't you reading the comments? And besides if you're so upset and annoyed by the way of death of the zebra why are you watching it? Why did you open the video??
Yes, it is hard to look at….it’s the nature of the natural world. And yes, you’re right….there is some hypocrisy going on. Because the same thing is going on in the slaughterhouses and we’re eating every part of these animals. It is hard to look at…but these crocs are not doing anything evil or sinister. They are doing what they are designed to do..
who cares you ❄️ humans are number one and human survival is number one I don’t give a crap if zebras or crocodiles get killed by each other or by humans they can go extinct for all I care at the end of the day it won’t effect humans and humans are animals and is in the animal kingdom. “iTs NaTuRe”
The will to survive is strong, half his face gone and he's still trying to fight back. Unfortunately for the zebra this is just an unwinnable battle. Definitely something they wouldn't show you on Nat Geo.
That poor Zebra didn't want to die. He fought till the end. It hurt me sooo much to see I can't imagine his or her pain. Nature sure is cruel and savage 😥
No pain (relatively speaking) - - it all happened so quickly, the beast was in 100% survival mode and did not have time to register "pain". Mother Nature can be very efficient in these matters.
Nature is not cruel or savage. Those are traits of man. Consider a bunch of terrorist who come into a village and kill the women and children just because they are a different ethnic group or religion. That is cruel because they decided to do kill. Animals kill just to survive and live. Keep it straight.
Fun Fact: A group of zebras can be called a “Dazzle”. This name comes from the dazzling motion effect of a group of running zebras. Some zoologists think zebras use their stripes as camouflage when the heard is in a big group to confuse predators. This makes it more difficult to single out individual zebras to attack. I like that they are called a Dazzle. They are dazzling!
It was proven in WW1 that "Dazzle" camouflage is effective at making it difficult to discern the distance of warships, and that's with our highly advanced eyesight I'd assume it does the same with predators but also makes them look like one unit.
Edit: Yeeaaahh this comment is kinda crappy, I explain my thoughts a bit better in the replies. Sorry! I majored in Animal Studies this year. I think it’s important to remember that nature, and therefore wild animals, can be brutal and scary as they are fascinating. Things like this are a part of life and out of our control.
True, and we only see a tiny taste of the real brutality out there. It's graphic and terrifying. These animals live on the edge of death 24/7. If not crocs, lions cheetahs hyenas or snakes. It's a nightmare for them.
It's sad to see, but it's nature, it's beautiful and cruel at the same time. Like zebras, crocodiles must feed to survive, and this is the only way they can feed. It's not cuz they hate zebras or they just do it because they are bad, it's about survival, they have to survive and ensure the survival and the reproduction of the species.
I find it amazing how the zebra is still moving and fighting after having it's face ripped off. We've seen the same thing with humans that get seriously injured. That shows how resilient and immune to pain animals are when fighting for their life. Nature is savage! The crocodiles gotta eat though. Nice video

I never thought crocodiles could be that strong. The pain from literally having half of your face eaten off is more than humanity can comprehend. Glad I was born human.
Actually in emergency situations, you tend not to feel pain. I got bitten in the face by a dog at 10 years old, and while I bled and screamed and cried like crazy, there was no actual pain. The calf is probably terrified but not feeling any physical pain.
@@Dennis-nc3vw also yea i agree with your statement i ran on glass before in a panic and not only did i not feel pain, i didn’t even notice i was bleeding until i looked down
@Cuddles He's trying to say that when animals go into shock you don't notice the pain of whatever injury when you're in the midst of an adrenalin surge. People have lost entire limbs but not realized it after because of massive shock, also this zebra probably lost consciousness really fast since the amount of blood loss it had.
Poor guy. When they first got taken, the other zebra could have done SOMETHING ther were literally like 100 or more zebra there, I’m sure if the jumps the one or 2 crocs that was on the zebra at the time, they could have all gotten away safely, there’s strength in numbers. I’m not saying they can kill the crocs by any means, but like kick em in the face, headbutt. Do something to help your family, friend, pack, whatever the relation is to you out. It pains me to see a lot of prey animals lose just because they’re afraid to jump the predator.
Thats probably the most painful death Ive ever seen in my life. Imagine being ripped apart alive by, not just one, but multiple predators. This is terrifying to watch but also interesting to see how scary the nature can be 😐
Crocodiles are very scary not only because of how powerful their bite is and how durable they are. But their ability to be patient and strike when it matters while they sit there to give you the illusion its safe to be in water
Did you know that crocodiles can go for several months without eating? In extreme cases, they can go 3 years without eating anything! They conserve their energy by staying motionless or moving slow.
As horrible as it looks, you don't feel pain in emergency situations. I got bit in the face by a dog when I was ten and while it terrified me (as I was bleeding like crazy), it didn't physically hurt.
I know this is sad, but can we talk about how badass the zebra is for continuing to fight after literally having his face ripped off. absolute fucking UNIT
Unless we lost the will to live, we will continue to struggle even in the most desperate situation... Not only that zebra, every single living being will do the same.
People really be saying "camera man did nothing". Would you jump into a river full of alligators to save a zebra that will die of blood loss anyway? It's nature, don't interrupt it.
@Arthur Schopenhauer I couldn't help. As much as I would want to help I would die a similar death. But this thing happens in nature all the time. Pray eats plants, Prey is eaten by the hunters. Hunters die and feed plants. They are wild animals, it's all survival.
Unlike other channels that just steal videos, the videos on my channel were all filmed by me personally and they are my original content. I was the one who flew to Africa and took these videos. I had many expenses to film these videos. I paid for flights to Africa, I paid for hotel rooms, I paid safari guides to take me to these locations to see these animals. I also paid for the equipment. I took a lot of risks traveling to Africa during the pandemic.
I love how all the other zebras are just passing by like: "Ah shucks they got Kevin." "Dang. Sorry Kevin." "Ah man, good luck." "Bummer man, bye Kev." "Hey bye Kevin, have a good one." "Yeah bye man, take care!" "Sucks to suck Kevin!" "Dude. George, don't be an ass."
maybe they simply felt bad for the zebra. does not make them outraged vegans. i felt bad for the zebra. but i still know it is how nature works. how does this make me a wanna be vegan teacher?
🤦 Dear comment section 1. This is nature, and not the camera man’s business to interfere with. 2. Even if the camera man wanted to interfere, there is almost nothing he could’ve done. Even if he happened to be carrying a rifle, you can’t really just shoot a crocodile from a distance and kill it, crocodiles are mostly bulletproof and very hard to kill from a distance, and jumping in would’ve been suicide. The only thing he could realistically do would be to shoot the zebra in the brain to put it out of its misery. 3. The crocodiles are not evil, they are in fact crocodiles. Their survival requires eating other animals, which is not their fault. If they stopped doing this, they would die. Your ancestors were equally brutal.
This needs more likes to spread awareness that people in this comment section are dumb and if they read this they might be able to understand unless they are illiterate. (CROCODILES NEED TO EAT!!!)
We can try to teach common sense to the moronic until we collapse from exhaustion, but unfortunately most idiots never get any smarter and we just end up looking stupid ourselves. You are correct though and this is one of the smartest comments I've read on here. Death is just another part of life.
To the people saying “Oh this is so horrible. Someone should kill the crocodile for doing this.” I just have this to say Imagine getting mad at a predatory animal for doing what nature designed them to do. Kill and eat other animals for sustenance.
I understand how nature works, and this is necessary. But why my heart wrenches and I feel strong amotions when I see this. Conscious is a hell of a gift.

Excellent explanation, crocodiles aren't evil, they are just animals that must consume meat in order to live and they are needed as a part of the ecosystem.
I found it surprising how almost "casual" the crocs are with their kill though. They really don't care about putting down their prey first. I own a few snakes and have had to feed them live prey sometimes but they will kill the prey first before moving to eat it. Not out of some mercy for the animal but for their own safety.
@@DarkLightGaming117 Well since crocs doesn’t have venom or anything, this is the only way to put it down. Staring at the Zebra wouldn’t help it much either.
@Themanofculture_W you miss the point of what I was saying. The crocs came across lazy how they killed it. My snakes are way more efficient killers and are not venomous either.
What makes it more disturbing is how long the zebra fought back even though it has no face and has lost all prospects of survival even if it somehow got away
As much as anything, they probably quicken the process by resisting. I just watched a zebra that wasnt resisting have its intestines eaten by a pack of lions and that thing lived way longer than it might of had it fought more. I wanted it to thrash so they would finish it.
The absolute power stored in a crocodile/alligator’s jaws is just so unbelievably scary. I saw a different video where a lioness was attacked and her bottom jaw ended up getting nearly ripped off, it was still dangling from her head when she got onto land. Nature is truly fascinating, yet harsh and brutal.
What a fighter, everyone has to die one day or the other. But the courage displayed by this lil zebra will be registered in the records of history for a long long time.
@@paulblack1964 Lol what? You'd rather not be a huge badass gorilla, buffalo, rhino, elephant, horse? Food comes easy and you have no real predators, how is that lame, ur the lame one lmao
To all the people thinking this is cruel, it's nature, we managed to control how we live, but the animals didn't, plus the zebra is better off being the croc's dinner than actually survive the attack cuz it would've starved to death, that if it didn't bleed out due to other injuries
@@the_gaming_hyena24 only Islamese culture give worse death by slit throat of cow and chicken and let them die slow in pain ..but in Hindu culture just one clean strike on neck of chicken and its all over for them...no slow death.
I felt sorry for the Zebra, but the crocodile did nothing wrong, just trying to survive. Its how nature works and I think many people glorify it too much and could benefit from seeing footage like this
What do you mean animals don't control how they live? If all species alive today managed to survive its because they found ways to "control" how they live and adapt to the reality of nature with the tools they have been gifted with
Instinctively, the herd of zebras actually want their population to be lowered. Somehow, the herd of zebras know that they must control their population because there is not enough food for them all to eat. The herd of zebras purposely cross the river over and over again, so the weak zebras and sick zebras are taken out by the crocodiles. This is how evolution works. The herd of zebras will turn around and cross the river again so even more of their numbers will be thinned out. It may seem harsh, but this is how nature works. It is survival of the fittest.
No, no and no ! No three times. Zebras migrate, as the other herbivores migrate. They cross that river to leave the northern part of the park anticipating the dry season that's coming for greener grasslands, 60 km south where there's still rainfall. They'll cross it once again 4 months later to get back north. So they cross and they encounter the crocs that live there since 250 million years. Some of them being catched by crocs is just statistics, not because they throw themselves to the crocs.
This truly broke my heart. It's weird to see nature in It's different perspective, and it's also sad to see what happens. Life is not always pretty. For animals or humans.
Poor Zebra, it's final moments must have been unimaginably painful. This is to show how incredibly powerful a crocodile's jaw is and how ruthless nature is
@Monkey3078 when it squared up with the crocs. Seriously are they stupid or just arrogant? There were clearly crocs in that water but the zebras went in anyway
It’s called some people clicked it and felt sad after and disliked it why you mad at people for dislikeing it and then commenting about it it’s called a opinion it’s not a big deal nobody cares if they disliked or not
Unlike cats who go for the throat for the kill, crocs just go for anything they can get a hold of. They can't chew, so they have to rip it apart and swallow it whole. I do wish that life wasn't cruel but that is life in the wild.
This zebra was a warrior…and for those of you who wonder how much it suffered, it likely was in shock a large majority of the time of the attack due to the extremely traumatic wounds it received and didn’t feel much of anything.
The herd of zebras actually want their population to be lowered. Instinctively, the herd of zebras know that they must limit their population level because there is not enough food for all of the zebras. So, the herd of zebras purposely cross the river over and over again insuring that the weak zebras are taken out by the crocodiles. This is how evolution works. The herd of zebras will turn around and cross the river again so more of their numbers will be thinned out.

animals are a lot more resistant to pain and blood loss in those situations than we humans are, they go into adrenaline shock and feel little pain and lose a lot less blood, it's all cause of harsh environment, everything can be deadly in the wilderness, so in order to survive animals evolved and their bodies adopted to those kind of situations, I'm not saying that this zebra would survive if she managed to escape, that damage was too big, but if, for example, crocodile ripped of a piece of a flash from her, doing only external damage that zebra would survive 100%, bleeding would be stopped, scab would be formed, if there is no infections that zebra would be perfectly fine over some time, we humans also have that adrenaline shock that slows down bleeding and pain but not even close to the level animals have it, i hope it helps you a little with that topic

Zebra got royally effed
Thank you!
U need cardio
Raw not different
Poor Zebra, it's final moments must have been unimaginably painful. This is to show how incredibly powerful a crocodile's jaw is and how ruthless nature is
Poor zebra is thinking, “damn, the lions don’t even do us this bad!” 😒
Lol-
He wasnt even full grown. Poor thing.
So you want the crocodiles to eat a fully grown zebra?
These grown up zebras didn‘t even come to help the little one..
REEEFFFF
@user-qu8lp6vp2n What's worse? Dying as a child or dying when you're 70? Don't be so dense. Shuddpbych.
The fact it’s whole face was ripped off yet it was still alive made my spine tingle. What an awful way to go
It was probably too stunned most of the time to really feel anything
The fact that the zebra knew it was done for but still fought back, no matter the situation never sit down unless you have ran out of energy 100%
The thing that fascinates me about Crocodiles is that they are patient hunters and usually wait for their prey to make the fatal mistake.
That zebra fought the whole time.
This was so brutal.
She fought so hard!
The zebra only fought in the beginning. then it dove into the water to retrieve its snout .
Don’t start a fight you’re not ready to win
@Monkey3078 when it squared up with the crocs. Seriously are they stupid or just arrogant? There were clearly crocs in that water but the zebras went in anyway
@@LilXancheX The zebras gotta cross the river, bruh. They didn't want anything to do with the Crocs obviously.
I know this has always been the Nature's Way but still this is heartbreaking
Ik, it’s so sad

For the people who disliked its called the circle of life and survival.
Triggered veggies
Teens that don't know better
It’s called some people clicked it and felt sad after and disliked it why you mad at people for dislikeing it and then commenting about it it’s called a opinion it’s not a big deal nobody cares if they disliked or not
Yeah its nature
I low key like these take downs dinner for the 🐊
Imagine being the zebra…. The pain that zebra had to endure is heartbreaking 💔
i can not imagine
Unlike cats who go for the throat for the kill, crocs just go for anything they can get a hold of. They can't chew, so they have to rip it apart and swallow it whole. I do wish that life wasn't cruel but that is life in the wild.
I also wish crocs could chew
This zebra was a warrior…and for those of you who wonder how much it suffered, it likely was in shock a large majority of the time of the attack due to the extremely traumatic wounds it received and didn’t feel much of anything.
I hope she didn't suffer too much
bullshit of course it suffered, anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional
@@l91106 you clearly know nothing about shock/trauma
@@l91106 if your body hurts way too much, shock will happen and you won’t feel much. Hopefully the zebra went through shock.
@@whiteryan2091 youre dumb if you think this animal isnt in pain
Es impresionante verlo y sentir el dolor del animal y como lucha hasta el final, es crudo pero es la naturaleza.
Es muy increíble lo cruel que puede llegar a ser la naturaleza, pero asi es la ley de la vida
The herd of zebras will turn around and cross the river again so more of their numbers will be thinned out.
wow
@@Dr_Adam they cross for food and water
Evolution shouldn't produce so many zebras to start with, then. It's flawed.
That Zebra literally fought until the very end...as bad as it was.
@Анастасия Борисова we were once animals too lol
