Wow MashaAllah Shaykh Hamza has once again left every one speechless and illuminated with knowledge. This most impressive presentation at Vatican. If I wasn't Muslim I literally would want to be after seeing this. May Allah be pleased w him and may he and his loved ones always be blessed granted highest rewards in dunya and akhira always protected satisfied enhanced preserved Ameen. How seamlessly he leads minds through all historical and current similarities and contrasts. All the gathered information that resides in him maybe they don't even know this is how he teaches about everything with all the vast examples and connections. Blown away. Alhamdulillah peace be upon you ❣️
I wrote an essay on this in college more than a decade ago with the same ideas and conclusions just as AI was first being developed and utilized in newfound ways then hope there’s more benefit than harm in it
Technology isn't inherently good or bad. It depends entirely on the ownership and usage. AI is superb and can bring benefits to the Muslim world if used properly.
@Amadeus-ms9lt it is normal and good to focus in the bad because it breeds innovative solutions to those fear. The 'Ulama are scholars of multiple expertise, not only they have expert knowledge for the material world, they have expert knowledge of the religion as well. And we As a layman find it easy to be fixated and angry to people of wisdom because of our own fear of the "not knowing" but not necessarily the unknown. We see the Scholars as a potential threat to those benefits where in reality they are simply trying eliminate the negative aspect of new technology and how it will not be abused by those in power while the layman suffers.
@@AssyriacUnitarian So far, it has fostered no innovative solutions. Only fear and moronic obsessions with Dajjal. I have only met one Shaykh who speaks about how technology can benefit society as opposed to ruin it, the ONLY one I know who speaks about how to eliminate banking/capitalism and revive Islam strategically.
The issue nowadays is that if we regulate AI say in the United States, China probably won't - and so due to globalization and the nature of work not having boundaries as such, we stand in an entirely different circumstance.
Usually the externalities are mainly due to how the inventions are introduced into the social environment to build a specific organizational structure, and economical structure, in order to advantage some people and possibly exploit some other people , and this is procisely a political decision. Interestingly political decisions are often taken by people who don't understand a thing about science and technology and can't see other ways to use it unless is at the advantage of themselves or their friends.
Ismael was an Archer and this that is why the Crossbow was in Question and brought forth for doubt. It was not so much the crossbow but the fact it had to do with Ishmael and Islamic religion ( time stamp 4:48)
Al Islam as presented in the Qur’an and in the life of Prophet Muhammad ( saws) is the way of life in the future. Al Islam when practiced inherently mitigates the harm from technological inventions because they must go through the filter of Quranic thinking. The verses are numerous. I would argue AI is an extension or a parallel of the pen. and We taught the use of The Pen The Qur’an says. Inventions created with the sole purpose of profit will always and have always produced problems in society. That is where Al Islam comes in.
Assalam aleikum, sheikh make some good points about modernity, but he legitimized the Christian doctrine by not mentioning that the root of all the problem of the modern world stem from deviated religion (namely christianity). That's the reason for coming of islam. When religion goes bad everything goes bad from individual, family, nation and world. So with all due respect and love to sheikh he us spreading confusion. And allah aalam

It bothers me that rather than focus on the benefits, the Ulama are fixated on the horror stories.
Why not change the script?
