A couple of suggestions. I use a similar build but use a stake attached high in the wall of the coliseum instead of a hovering stone. This allows it to stay up in the air even when you run out of energy. This will enable you to reduce the number of lasers because you do not need to make use of the super-high dps in order to take advantage of large charges. Also, if the Lynels go directly under you their up-going arrows will hit you as they phase through structures. I use a fully enclosed build, so I can just crouch, and they will lose sight of me and reposition. Lastly, we can use hoofs instead of bombs to do the armor part. They allow you to see what you are shooting at, during bullet time. I use ascend to my ceiling and then drop into bullet time with hoofs to take out the armor. If you are interested in the build I can send you a pic. It takes 48 zonite with 6 lasers but using some of the unique structures from the Yiga you can get it down to 15 zonite plus the lasers. As for gleeoks, I am interested in seeing how it works. Mine just gets destroyed because gleeoks have an aimed, long-distance shout that destroys devices. Also during my early testing I was putting down my build, and it disappears as the coliseum began. I wonder if it was because it was fully made with auto-build zonite.
if you’re not good with building but want to farm up lynels, gather a ton of puffshrooms from the depths and when you get into the coliseum, throw a puffshroom and it will not see you.. hit it a few times then throw another one, keep repeating that process! also if you don’t want to gather a ton of the puffshrooms, you can fuse a puffshroom to the korok forest dweller spear and it will stay put until the spear breaks! any item that “bursts” you attach to those forest dweller weapons will always stay on it. so awesome lol
this game should have a build sharing feature for the community, you do a little hidden sidequest and you activate this hidden power that let's you share footprints of your wildest creations
I have a similar setup for the coliseum and the way I aggro the lynels is I autobuild a very simple 3 piece device. It’s a homing cart, stabilizer, and a single beam emitter. I build as far away as I can in the direction of the lynel, let it drop, shoot it with an arrow and the lynel will charge right at it closing the distance so my main auto device can wreak havoc again
Instead of bomb arrows, Use the cooking pot device fused to your arrows to break the enemy's armour. With a lynel 3x bow you can break the armour wile wearing the deity full set outfit equipped: the damage to break the armour on a lynel takes 3 to 4 shots using this method. Having all the sages spawn underneath you will always agro the enermy to be underneath you. (That's if your not to high of the ground) I don't use devices or sages while doing the farming 😂 just came back to edit this cause the only thing I do use is the cooking pot arrows. BUT! after seeing this video I will definitely try this device out 🎉
I tested it out and it's a great build. For the roof, I substituted sleds for carts because I didn't have any carts and those worked just fine. Even in BotW I always sucked at fighting Lynels. I'd always waste too much resources fighting them. And I might be wrong, but I think the higher level lynels in TotK deal WAY more damage than their BotW equivalents.
Nah they hit the same relative to the hearts u get in this one, u prolly just remembering botw when u had maxed our armor sets etc. Botw had the harder lynels anyways with the master mode gold variants having so much hp. Anyways killing lynels has always been a "just dont get hit" kinda fight, in totk with op knight weapons mixed with a royal guard claymore you can just run in on 1 heart and finish a silver lynel on 1 damaged rg claymore mount + 2 flurry rushes on knight weaps.
finally a tutorial on how to build a battle device. Been looking for over a week to try to find one I like and if there was someone that could explain how to build it. I am gonna try to do this today.
I was just typing out "will this totally obliterate the 5 lynel coliseum" and as soon as I almost clicked on comment I got to that part of the video lol. This is probably the most useful creation I've seen so far to be honest. I would say though to not use a large zonai charge until you are almost out of battery since it does a full recharge. It might be a complete waste if you use it too early.
It seems to me that every lynel in the coliseum after the first was on one side or the other, so turning it 90 degrees sideways might be the better move.
Awesome creativity. I beat the Lynels with duped Savage Lynel Bows firing +5 arrows each time and slowmo. This would have been def easier lol. Hope any upcoming DLC gives us even harder enemies
Dang this was really fun if you don't want to deal with Lynels and OP weapon, although is way faster and less expensive with the Radiant armor and Bones weapon proficiency.👍
Wow! What timing. I just landed in the coliseum with 5 (or was it 6?) lynels right after watching this. I built a smaller version (with only 12 lasers) and wiped out the first two. Then, the others remained hiding and shooting arrows. However, I was able to jump out, lure them, and then use the "move up through solid matter" option to finish the next few off. Of course, the second to last one destroyed it when it ran out of power, but by then I was ready and fresh for them!
I just tried it and it’s awesome. I also tried it on the three headed dragons and it was a bit tricky cuz try fly up and destroy it with its ability. But it did the trick.

I made it to the 4th Lynel in the colosseum, before one of them shot an arrow direct fire instead of raining down on me. I also did not use a rocket, and just lifted the platform into the air and rewinded it up. Probably had something to do with it.

Might as well use a stake for the colosseum so that you can attach it to a wall, meaning you can turn off the device without it falling and recharge your battery.
ill keep that in mind mate plus might help me deal with other monsters even in some mines ...... in one case this is gonna get interesting fast and ill farm some battery energy gauge
I was so disappointed the first time I used one of those. I didn't realise it would just make the enemy disappear. Spent ages looking for my first blue Lynel and then went into battle, got it down to about 10% health and went into bullet time after mounting but thought I'd like to just finish it off, then bamf it was gone, no drops.
@Verdan Koro Well, yeah. It's literally just an ancient arrow from Breath of the Wild. Sad that it doesn't get any drops, but if you killed anything in one shot, should you really get them?
I did the build as instructed, but when I activate it near an enemy the beam emitters just fire into the ground or off into the distance. Is there a problem with the construct heads?
can you explain why you removed one laser for the lynel version? i don't understand x) thanks ! ---- EDIT : okay it's because you can't attach more than 20 component together, i didn't know (could have been good to say so just in case ^^)
I used item duping to get my Energy Cells maxed out. So I have 16 full batteries now. And then I'll just dupe Zonaite to hell so I can whip these out easy.
All it takes is three arrows to farm Lynel's. They are easy to kill. Arrows are easier to get then farming zionite and puffshrooms. But I am a BOTW player, so it was all combat based to kill a lynel. It almost seems impossible when you first start but if you keep trying, they become easy to kill as boboklin, including the silvers.
Also, when u get the zonai parts out, before u get out of the inventory, press y and b at the same time and it won’t consume any devices. If it does, ur timing was probably off.
so crazy. You can also recharge by using rewind. Just use rewind, then hit the device. It will stop working, but it will recharge. When rewind is almost done, just hit it again, and then it will start again. You device recharges while in rewind. crazy.
Hmm, talking about weight of items I like the looks + fire proofness of the metal grids you can find. Need to test how much they weigh compared to wood etc...I guess options are a scale made of a beam mounted to a construction site wheel. Or make rocket launch pads, and see which goes higher.
Ufff, that is costly. I actually think it's just easier to get good fighting them. You fight one you can fight any of them, they all basically have the same move set.
Yesterday it took me 2 hrs but i freaking defeated them with this build. Godamit that was hard and even with an auto build. Kept dying in so many ways...
If you put beam emitter construct heads on a motorcycle will it hit you as you drive past enemies lol? Or I guess it just needs to be above your head level?

Do you need to you use all the beam emitters or can you use less to make it cheaper
The lynel roared at me because I was a little to low, I got freaking outplayed.
Sick. I made a similar tank with beams and rokets. Probably quicker and bomb proof (metal cage).
This would have been useful fighting the king gleock. Ran out of rockets for my shields, fought it the hard way. Same for the coleseum.
This is so freaking cool Tag!
Hey I love your vids can you make a guide for all bubble frog locations please
Yep!
their all in caves take a picture and us sensor +
Also, when u get the zonai parts out, before u get out of the inventory, press y and b at the same time and it won’t consume any devices. If it does, ur timing was probably off.
I been looking for a walk though on how exactly to build this thank you
so crazy. You can also recharge by using rewind. Just use rewind, then hit the device. It will stop working, but it will recharge. When rewind is almost done, just hit it again, and then it will start again. You device recharges while in rewind. crazy.
This is insane
Also putting two fused chest in front of a lynel will cause it to just yell and not attack
Hmm, talking about weight of items I like the looks + fire proofness of the metal grids you can find. Need to test how much they weigh compared to wood etc...I guess options are a scale made of a beam mounted to a construction site wheel. Or make rocket launch pads, and see which goes higher.
Metal cage.
like i havent seen this one a million times since the japanese dropped that build last week
Can we talk about how he kept calling Construct Heads Construction Heads, despite the name being right in front of him?!
I beat them without any Zonai device or bone build. Didn't feel it was that hard. Am I a pro?
0:12 US Air Force dlc for tears of the kingdom?!?!?
I'm going to build this
gonna give it a go!! thanks!
Was it only me or did anyone else get the prompt “you can’t attach anymore” :(
Remove one beam
There’s only one thing needed for lynel slaying …. : puffshroom
I have become the destroyer of worlds - Robert Oppenheimer the director of the first nuclear test
500 Gibdo bones.
the Gibdo association wants to have a talk with you
If you put beam emitter construct heads on a motorcycle will it hit you as you drive past enemies lol? Or I guess it just needs to be above your head level?
Instead of bomb arrows, you can use hooves
Instead of hooves, you can use bomb arrows
I’m just using food effect swap to get 99 sunny roasted bananas and hearty prime steak to defeat them. This is cool though.
Thanks Tag!
