Definitely see myself revisiting this video several times as I forget each step in turn an annoying number of times whilst trying to do it myself lol. Looking forward to trying it out 👌
I'm glad it's helpful man! I can't tell you how long I was doing it the longer way before I found out you could just open track files directly in the mission editor now
@@ryu1940 I was on last night and saw you about, kept relogging as you said and managed to get external footage for the whole night - awesome tutorial, thanks for putting it together. Only downside is that I'd have been top of the scoreboard by a mile if my kill tallies actually saved when I relogged, keeps my ego in check I guess 😅
@@Bullet4MyEnemy haha that’s awesome man! Yeah I didn’t think of the kill tallies cus I main the hip now but I used care about that when I flew the Hind lol I can see it being an ego check lol
Hey, I made the F10 map! Saw me leaving the FARP. Unfortunately shortly later I dropped troops behind a hill then "just" had to do a quick pop-up to see the targets and took a tank shell to the nose :( (Curiosity killed the Mi-8). Also when I took the shell to the face my DCS crashed so recent update didn't fix that.
What camera view or technique is used to follow your weapon view close in on the target and then freeze your camera location but you can watch your weapon continue to impact? I love watching those on air to ground attacks but haven’t figured out how to do it.
I think people use F6 camera for the weapon then when they get close they pause it and hit LCTRL+F11 to get a free camera they can position somewhere to view the impact. When that is all set they unpause the game.
Thanks! I’ll give it a try. Love your mission based enigma vids. Unfortunately, for some reason, my frames on enigma have plummeted even with MT. I used to get decent frames in the early days of the server. Maybe it’s the 70 player count?
@@LogicWarrior1474 there’s a known bug where craters are tanking frames. Overtime the problem gets worst and when there’s a lot of constant combat like there is on Engima’s, it makes the frames drop out in a bad way.
Thank you. I see mostly as you teach me well but on F10 seems broken mouse funtion? The curser keep still on top not moveable only F10. What about you? Did I do something wrong?
No it’s some weird bug that is very annoying. You have to change view like to f1 or f2 or f11 and then hit f10 again and hope it works. It can be like that many times but the only way to fix it is to change to a view and then go back into the f10 map.
Hi all, Anyone know why when I select a track it always locks when it reaches the "Terrain Graphics" part of the loading. I don't get a 'Not Responding" message in Task Manager, but there is no computing going on. I've tried other tracks and it always locks up. Anyone know why?
Hi!. So let say that, if you have a track file in which at certain time into the mission you hit a tree [because the trackfile is corrupted in some way and not because you really hit it while in mission...] you could in the ME disable the trees so you never crash into that tree and can keep recording the replay of the track file?
I’ve never tried that, is there an option in the ME to disable all trees? That is interesting. Usually if something happens like that then the track is just unfortunately not suitable for recording.
Yeah it was when they updated the tracks to have more fidelity. Overall that was nice but the byproduct was tracks with large player counts would break the files. I have been getting good success rates looking at tracks when only 20 or fewer players are on. Anything over that makes it very rare to find a working file.
@@ryu1940any tips on having them work more often or is this just a big gamble on if they load without crashing dcs and then being somewhat accurate during review? Ty in advance
@@lukewilkilu basically after they made trackfiles higher fidelity, they broke the ability to view tracks with larger player counts. You’ll probably never get a working track from a very populated server. For ECW I could only get the tracks working if the player count in total is less than 20.
While this tutorial was done with ECW in mind, this will work for other MP servers that have external views disabled.

That bug for the Mi-8 dying to desktop is so awful. Especially if the server is full it’s hard to get back in. I can’t wait til it’s fixed.
