Thanks for sharing this. I am working on the exact same receiver and it looks like JUST the contact between the neg. gold pad and the tab is bad. If I put a small piece of tin foil on the gold pad, the connection is good. I cleaned the pad with vinegar. Any other recommendations to improve the connection at that point?
My name is Jamal. I got a before GT-3WP. I'm trying to change the screen out of my baofeng radio Apollo change it out I know it's easy to change out but I'm just trying to get help make sure I do it the right way.
Hi Mike¡ I have an Icom r10 in perfect operation conditions but the display is very dim. It is very hard to see the display frequency and other stuff. Could you give some pointers as how to check if it need to go to a repair shop or if I can try out something myself. I'm afraid if I take it to a shop they'll tell something like "the Integrated circuit is damaged, sorry!" I've heard that so many times before in other radios I owned. Thanks in advance. I know this is something hard to answer without checking out the radio, but jus wanted to check it with you after watching your IC-r10 video. Thanks in advance. Great channel by the way.
This is one of my radios. I really miss Mike! If anyone knows what happened with him, let me know. Hes the best!
I lost my R6 with corrosion also , the whole motherboard was unrecoverable, so beware of alcalines.

Hello I have the same radio with the exact same issue. How can I ship my radio to you to get mine repaired? Please help. Thanks.
Эх, надо была заодно пропаять гнездо внешнего питания! Со временем пайка отваливается. А долезть до этого гнезда далеко.
