I actually think the two tone/hi lo tone is the best tones on sirens because they sound much less harsh than the ordinary tones and I think they sound much more penetrating when your in an area with loads of buildings where it echos.
And that's why they're used in Sweden and Germany amongst other countries.
thats why they got rid if them, didn't know which directions they were coming from.
Bring back the 80s/90s two tone horn siren as well 😆
4:49 WOW a new siren good one
Nice to hear them two tone sirens being used amongst these emergency vehicles.
Great video mate
Thanks!
Nice video!
Thanks!
Iv lived in the UK my whole life and I have never heard the siren from the first clip
Personally not keen on the high low tone 🤷♂️ not sure if it’s loud enough for people with hearing difficulties however could see it being effective
It’s noticeable that they use the hi-lo siren when crossing intersections
I heard these, and it was weird for the 1st timd
Neee nawww neee nawww
wee woo wee woo
Waaaaaaaaooooooo-waaaaaaaaaaaooooooooo!!!!!
Beep-beep
Back when I was a kid, I always thought that was what British and European sirens sounded like
Phaser: wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a
The one in Gloucester where my phone decided not to work :((
Which one?
@@BritishEmergency The one on Metz Way
@@chrisvlogs2023 Oh I see
Doppler effect
Which siren model is that on the hi-lo?
Yes I'd like to know too. I think it's an rsg siren. But not sure
Some Whelen thing
On the police cars Whelen Euro 1 I believe. Not sure about the Mercedes Ambulances tho
What's the difference in the standard siren and the hi-low, does it mean anything?
It's just a different sound, tends to be used to catch people's attention when they're ignoring the usual sirens
On the driving course they make you change the tone on approach to junctions before returning back to long wail for straight sections
2:57 what’s that car called l like that siren
That's a BMW
@@benjaminbonelli9335 no is
it’s Skoda and I know so is it skoda…?
@@interest5217Yeah it is a Skoda, Skoda Kodiaq.
What's the name of the third and second siren?
Whelen
0:00 E39 siren???
Are they auto
hi lo on that sprinter at the beginning is weird
Must be a unusual siren brand they used
It's the Whelen Euro 1. It has hundreds of tones to choose from for wail, yelp, priority and hi-lo. It uses the Gamma 2 tones and one of the many choices for the hi-los.
@@BritishEmergency nice
@@BritishEmergency whelen are a good brand hope thry use more of them
@@thepurdychannel8866 Whelen has been used in the UK for decades now, trading as Woodway. It's the primary for sirens and lighting equipment, with Premier Hazard in a close second.
Pipa line water fire old version burter new version
I can tell you the piercer / hyper wail tone is absolutely useless. Surprised it’s even fitted to anything.
