What superb phrasing, the grace, the beautiful singing tone, showing the first class musical intelligence. Chopin would be very pleased to hear this rendition. I'm not saying only Poles can be the best interpreters of Chopin, but sometimes it just takes a Pole to play the great Master, thinking of Paderewski, Artur Rubinstein, Zimmerman...:)

Concerning the tempo: from slow to slightly accelerando self-indulgences, he has led the nature of the music to dictates itself without preening himself with mortifying pathos or mawkishness.

And, of course, grand piano, Sound of this Stainway's masterpiece is so nice - warm, deep and fuscous, filled with light sadness and melancholy... Probably especially for Chopin? :-)
