  • The Berkshire Reunion Meet held at the Blueberry Railroad took place on Thursday September 30th and ran to Saturday October 2nd, 2021. We visited the railroad on Saturday 10-2 and there were still several beautiful steam passenger trains in service. Enjoy the action in 4K here on The Steam Channel. Thanks for watching!

Wow! This is one of few videos that I got to see an engineer "stretch the legs" of a scale steam locomotive! That was fantastic! In this scale, 7 mph is roughly equivalent to 60 scale mph. From the looks of things, I bet that locomotive hit 120 scale mph easily! It would not surprise me if top end on that Erie locomotive sits between 15 and 20 mph. Not every steam engine could run that fast though without a few things coming apart (not to mention the derailment that would likely to happen), this locomotive seems to be dialed in pretty good. I am with others, this definitely rates a 10 out of 10 for sure. Hope to see more of these guys.

That Erie and Lackawanna set is very impressive, a pacific steam engine and 11 heavyweights. A lot of time and money in that set!!

I think that was the best live steam video yet. Nice long and fast passenger trains are great to watch.

I would love to get into this hobby but I can't even get my outdoor "G" scale layout or my indoor "O" scale layout built! Got the trains and the track! I got too many hobbies! Guns, Drones, RC cars, RC planes, 3D printers, Building and inventing which includes Welding and Woodworking, Astronomy and Astrophotography, Flying(real planes), Motorcycles, Model building, Carrera slot cars, Working out in my home gym and of course my trains. Whew!🙄

A Nickel Plate berk, an Erie K5, a lovely light pacific, gorgeous heavyweight passenger cars, a double track high speed main line, all right next to the 12" scale Nickel Plate Road main line. What else would you need?

Who is the engineer on 2936? Dab hand on the whistle and that's not easy with our scale gear.

I used to be a live steamer, but too many people at Pennsylvania Live Steamers pissed me off years ago...........now I'm not into live steam anymore.

I thoroughly enjoyed your videos until these cell phone things came along. There is no way to comment on them, at least none that I can see, so I am reluctantly unsubscribing from your channel. R Grosser

Shorts are an integral part of TH-cam and they will continue to be published supplementary to the normal content which is published on this channel. This short format content is also being posted through Instagram to Facebook Reels which is the Facebook equivalent to shorts. Users can comment on these videos although the exact way to do this may vary from the type of device the video is being watched on. Whereby the professional videos take weeks and months to edit and turn around, our audience can enjoy little teasers of the meets we attend through shorts/reels rapidly while the longer format videos are worked on.
