Big Creek & Southern: Scott Weatherford Memorial Parade

- This year the live steam and backyard railroading community lost a friend and a master builder in Scott Weatherford. Scott passed away on August 17th, 2020 after suffering a heart attack.
During the Big Creek & Southern fall meet, Scott was honored and taken for one last ride on the line-his home track. With the per mission of Scott’s wife Cindy, we would like to share Scott’s last ride and the memorial precession with you all so friends that could not make the meet can pay their respects.

What a wonderful and unique Way for a person's life to be celebrated. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I know nothing about this hobby. However, the love and respect shown is a very nice way of sending your husband, father and friend off to glory! Kudos... very well done.

It was a wonderful meet. The only possible thing that could have made it better was if Scott was there in person

It is always sad to lose a friend and fellow hobbyist however, he is in a much better place now.
Got a chance to see the centennial locomotive last year at Palmeto live steamers, very sharp unit. Those SantaFe F units are on another level, they would look great pulling some corrugated streamliner cars. Scott will be missed, very talented
