@@dootcoyt5775I get the feeling they're carefully outlining and storyboarding everything so they know where they're going so in all likelihood the releases will be slow for a good chunk of time I won't bother guessing before having a more regular and stable release schedule. As much as they love Berserk I doubt they want to spend the rest of their lives working on it or working on it for so long that people become indifferent to it. That would be the worst case scenario for the series.

Given how the power of belief works in Berserk with stuff like the Idea of Evil, I theorize that the reason that Rickert can slap Griffith is because he wasn't at the eclipse, and so doesn't fear and hate him in the same way that Guts does. Griffith's in-universe plot armor may be connected to the strength of his legend or something like that.
He knew Griffith as a man instead of a God and isn't burdened by the trauma of the eclipse, good theory.
You really thinks the eclipse didnt burden guts ??? He literally had to see the people he could finally get close enough to all die horrible deaths in front of him. You can clearly see how it affected guts in the lost children's arc, the rape horse scene should give you enough of a clue that he has trauma. Just look at his face when he first sees it.

I remember someone in the manga saying that Griffith was so powerful that "not even" a single hair could be touched.
That kind of narrative nod almost makes you wonder if it's meant to be a signifier of hope instead of despair. He couldn't kill him but he COULD still touch him. Barely. Maybe it means to give us hope that somehow there IS a way.

theory time:
01. Pandemonium is Griffith's insurance plan to keep him and Falconia safe. if somehow someone got the upper hand on him, he'll threaten to unleash Pandemonium either as a scorched Earth weapon or as a "if i lose, we all lose" trump card.
02. Guts and Casca are incapable of harming / killing Griffith because they're his branded sacrifices. it hasn't gone unnoticed to me that the further away Guts and Casca get from Griffith the better their lives became, and that every time they try to fight Griffith something goes horribly wrong. but now that we see Guts is unable to even scratch Griffith, i think it shows there's an unspoken clause with the brand of sacrifice. i believe that those who have been branded by a God Hand member cannot harm / kill that member.
03. Guts kills Void, Skull Knight kills the other members of the God Hand, and Rickert kills Griffith. like Guts, Skull Knight is likely Void's branded sacrifice and therefore cannot kill him. Skull Knight is very powerful, and with the Sword of Actuation, he's more than capable of killing the other members of the God Hand. Guts is gonna have to lock horns with someone from the God Hand, likely candidates are either Slan or Void, but i think it'll be Void because Guts' journey echoes Skull Knight and Void's ambitions mirror Griffith; Guts killing Void would be poetic justice and revenge. Rickert being victorious over Griffith would bring the manga's theme of human willpower triumphing over "divine fate" full circle, he's also the one that got away and is the X factor that Griffith either never considered or underestimated.
I think 2 is wrong purely because the only two people who have made any damage to griffith since his rebirth is rickert and guts. Guts was able to cut a hair off griffith whoch was really focused on, and there is a line earlier in the story that states no one has been able to cur a hair on Griffiths head

I always saw destroying the island as one of the biggest tragedies, not simply because of the loss of a paradise that the whole gang could live in, but because I think that the reason that all this happened was because the moonlight child got too comfortable with his family. Just a huge tragedy all around.
I say that he got too comfortable because he knew when to leave in order to not endanger everyone, but by the time the change was going to occur he was too into the dream (so to speak).
Like Cinderella staying to dance with the prince until the stroke of midnight, when she should’ve left sooner.

i literally just finished listening to the 21 hour berserk video u made, i work in a factory where there isnt really much movement or activity and there's no music, i listened to the berserk saga video while working, and u gave amazing detailed descriptions of not only the characters but the fight scenes as well, i was able to easily visualize and imagine everything. my shifts are 10 hours long and i start of by listening to music then changing to berserk saga after my break, kept me occupied and entertained for days for the second half my shift. i really wish berserk continues and u make an even longer video, id listen to all over again. i have read it, and plan to reread berserk again since its been a few years now.

Theory:
Could it be that Guts couldn't hurt him because of the hatred in his heart? The whole theme of Berserk is him changing over time. Could the finale be that Guts learns to absolve himself of the hatred and stress and finally be able to face Griffiths?
The whole thing ties into the Idea of Evil.
If Guts succumbs to hatred, which is a by-product of Evil, does that mean Griffiths is immune anything that has been filtered through the idea of evil, because it's within the godhands domain?
Also isn't SK supposed to be the archetype of a past hero that was taken over by his hatred and is a lesson for Guts to avoid that path?
Doesn't Guts state to Rickert that he could not truly hate Griffiths?

Could the reason, that Guts wasn't able to hurt Griffith all the way back on Elfhelm, be the full moon? Perhaps the full moon messes with Griffiths physical nature. The Moonlight boy turned into Griffith during a full moon on Elfhelm, maybe the full moon combined with Elfhelms magical presence somehow gave Griffith the power needed to pull off such a move?
Maybe Griffith actually just is that powerful, an argument could be made that Guts hurt Slan, but then again, I wouldn't be suprised Slan let him do it, because of masochism.
Griffith has been acting more human ever since he fused with the demon-infant. Like crying, and going after Casca. All the way back in The black swordsman arc, when The Slug-count uses his behelit, Guts confronts Femto, the Godhand mentions that Guts means nothing to them... So why would Griffith go out of his way to take Casca away from Guts?
Rickert was able to strike Griffith, even more so, Skull Knight most likely took out the former members of the Godhand, and if so meaning they can be killed, which is also why Griffith targeted the magic users of Elfhelm. However, could the reasons I mentioned with Griffith acting more human mean that he let Rickert strike him? And if the Godhand has the ability to let people physically hurt them, why would they former Godhand members let Skull Knight kill them?
From Guts pov he is screwed, he lost Casca and he has no way of hurting Griffith. I just don't think that's the case until we get some more answers, something that night on Elfhelm made it so The Dragonslayer fazed right through Griffith. Wethere that was Griffith himself or outside factors, idk yet. I might be grasping at straws here, but it's something to consider imo

The writing is so ❤️🔥.Griffith absolutely knows Guts. On Eflheim, when he hugged Casca to make Guts stop his swing (in a very similar manner to the way he trained in Golden Age), he knew that Guts trained by stopping the sword almost exactly there. So he didn't need to hold Cacsa in front of him, and he knew that, so he just hugs her. Amazing writing. I'm so excited about the ending, even with delays, I hope its great

If the cover art for the most recent chapter is any indication, I think Guts and Puck are about to leave the party for a bit, go with the Skull Knight, learn his entire history, and it's a *complete* longshot, but for those who haven't seen my previous posting of it...
I think Guts is going to receive an offer to become the FIFTH of the unseen Cardinal Kings that Shierke have mentioned. I think those entities are the good-natured equivalent to the Godhand. If the Godhand serve an evil, man-born god that exists to perpetuate human suffering, who's to say there isn't an opposing faction that came before them, one that seeks to protect mankind, on behalf of Midland's true spiritual god?
Obviously, we haven't "canonically" seen the Godhand's Idea of Evil, so I imagine we'd have to get some sort of flashback of Griffith meeting it for the first time before we see Guts' introduction to its opposite, just for official context. This whole thing is mostly me banking on the fact that there are currently four Cardinal Kings, like how there were four Godhand members before there became five. But I don't think it was mentioned without intent.
I think it may very well amount to an incredible transformation for Guts. One that could determine the fate of himself, his team, Casca, and maybe even their child.
Casca is in his castle because that’s what Griffith wanted. Griffith is just making his dream of being a king come true. He doesn’t actually care how he does it or who he screws over in order to obtain it. He’s just a child playing with his “ toys”
Especially since he’s sharing the same body of a child and feels that child’s emotions. He just wants his mommy.

I'm in a very dark place in life right now, I've finally been forced to the edge of the abyss, the endless uncaring void that will kill you if you ever touch it, and everything you ever loved is ripped and torn. I'm fighting my way away from it, but nobody else wants to fall off either, and the cold, uncaring deathly endlessness of the void is reflected within the people who come close to the abyss. Its really hard not to just fall straight down and in, when you've fought so hard to live far away from it, but then be pushed there anyways churning endless abyss of fear and malice that exists in humanity just as it exists in the inky blackness of the void.. Thank you for being one of the good ones, thanks for being genuine, and this video right now, about the Struggler, an in depth conclusion so far to the Berserk video saga... I don't feel as broken, even if I am, and it means the world to me. A single ice cube in hell might not seem like much in the grand scheme, but to the person, that slight reprieve means everything.

Griffith would’ve always gone to guts eventually, no matter how good things were going for him, guts is the only constant in his mind. While he was being tortured the only thing he could think about was guts, the only thing he clung onto was guts, so it makes sense that even after everything, he still returns to guts

What if for killing Griffith Guts have to not hate him. Maybe this is the key to why Rickert could harm him. Maybe the story is also about us first forgiving the evil that was caused to us in order to defeat it. I dont know if the word "forgive" is the best in this case but I mean that you shouldn't have hatred and will to destroy someone so he/she doesn't have grasp over you.
Guts has to let the Beast of Darkness finally go, the Beast is slowly killing him inside, he’ll never win if it consumes him entirely.

I think 364 highlighted more than anything that Guts just isn't allowed to be happy. XD Poor guy was able to restore the woman he loves, but not only can he not be with her, but their child becomes his worst enemy, which leads to the island falling. Like. Damn it, dude. Also, I totally forgot that the armor ages Guts. :'(

I can't afford to keep up with the comics (to buy them) so I have no other way to keep up with one of my favorite stories from my favorite manga. I count on TALoli to keep me up to date with the plot and truly appreciate the work you put into your videos. Thank you so much for making these videos and I hope that you continue to release such awesome content. I hope all is well and thank you again.
P.S. Do you think Zodd will eventually turn on Griffith? If not joining Guts' side of the confilct at the very least deciding to go against Griffith to fulfill his wish of fighting a better warrior, perhaps after, at some point, being defeated by Guts?
My own pet theory:
Berserk ends with Guts dead, but his spirit serving along side Skull Knight as a companion to prevent another sacrifice. Technological advancements leads into the shot and pike formations which is a really cool part of history if you haven't looked into it.* The constant use of firearms breaks the demons who cannot deal with the overwhelming firepower, unless they are some how super tough, strong regeneration, or too fast to be hit. Griffith falls, and his seers turns out to be a member of the god hand's avatar who revels in his death. Skull Knight kills her, and Griffith dies not to any blade, but due to over consumption of power. Reality reasserts herself, and most of the supernatural is tossed far and away. Puck remains as one of the few forces left in the world. The party grieves and celebrates the victory over the empire.
*(Basically, firearm technology advanced to the point that everything else was pointless, but it took too long to reload. This lead to cavalry formations carrying firearms who rush forward to fire, then return to the safety of a pike formation. The pikers would march into each other slowly, as the ammunition ran out. This period of time lasted for a couple hundred years.)

I really love how you tell Berserk Story, the 1997 Anime + your 21 Hour Video is actually what made me a Huge Fan of the Series, I think you nailed the whole story so far and specialy the end of fantasia, HOWEVER, Looking at the first 1/3 of the video it's very noticible how it flows nicely and the pauses are brief just to contextualize stuff, however the latter 2/3 of the video that you mash up your newer videos without removing the intros/outros and starting every single chapter getting flashbacks of what we just saw a few minutes ago REALLY kills the pace of the Story/Video.
I 100% get why they are there as I've watched every time you uploaded previously and makes total sense remind us after months of the last chapter what's going on, but when seeing all of them together I really feel it would be better if it was presented the same way you presented the end of fantasia by going chapter after chapter with brief pauses and comments, I get that it means rework on chapters you already covered individually, but I honestly feel it could be way more impactfull to share the amazing story of Berserk by Reading each chapter Back to Back and you already showed us how great you are in doing it on the 21 Hour video.
Don't get me wrong , I really enjoyed your work and I'm really glad to see all of those chapter compiled and feel that the pace of the series indeed isn't so bad when we don't have to wait months between chapters, however consider the pace of the video next time you are compiling the chapters, it might become more immersive and interesting taking the back to back chapter approach
TLDR:
Love your work, but consider editing the chapter videos to make it flow better back to back next time!
Maybe the reason Rickert was able to hit Griffith (aside from saying oh well he let him or wanted him to or he was in human form😂) was bc the slap wasn’t out of wrath or pure hatred like when guts tries to reach Griffith. It was from a saddened/disappointed/betrayed/emotional place. Possibly something like Griffith as a member of the God hand can directly influence attacks like Guts’ that come from “evil” intentions (not that Guts is wrong in what he’s doing but clearly his hatred/rage/wrath side isn’t a good thing morally). Maybe Guts has to succumb fully into a hatred or malice so deep that it can even reach a Griffith (through allowing the beast of darkness to fully take over) OR in the end maybe he will have to defeat Griffith as his old friend (sounds cringe but shhh) aka the part of him he could reach and these feelings would have to be genuine (which is almost impossible for Guts)
This theory that is randomly popping into my head as I write it may hold some sort of water. As we see Griffith once again have emotions and feel a connection thru being with Guts and Casca via the Moonlight child. So maybe the most sacred and genuine and moral bond between Guts and Casca thier own child, is what will bring about this weakness I speak of in Griffith and allow Guts to finally reach him without completely losing himself to rage and hate, with their child corrupted by Griffith already showing to be outside of the realm of fate and causality………..

theory: so when guts was dreaming he was actually in deep ends of the astroworld and shrike who was lost had some connection and was able to go to where he is and send him back (it’s a stretch but think about it)
I'd love a few chapters of Guts and Puck on their own side mission to save Guts from this current funk he's in (one more Black Swordsman/Lost Children - esque romp)

The same stary night appears when elfheim goes down. Right after the spell. Food for thought. It might be refrencing how theres another side which sees whats going on. In the spiritual world at the least.
To me, two of the biggest reasons I can think of for The Beast not taking over Guts during his fight with Griffith:
-The one I believe slightly less: If the Beast has a form of individuality, it allowed Guts to feel the full force of the loss.
-The one I believe the most: The Beast is fed (and possibly exists as:) Guts' trauma, hatred, and rage. It rises up, stiring his most destructive emotions. If Griffith had the armor in the past, it would have certainly consumed him each time he encountered Griffith. However, his maturity and ability to focus on protecting the ones he loves over burying his emotions before they well up and explode (a growth that began when he fought Griffith in the Field of Swords (I think that's the name...)), has allowed Guts to not lose himself, even as he faces the literal manifestation of the greatest evils he has faced in his life. It stirs in the beginning as he launches himself at Guts, just like he flew at him in the Field of Swords, only back then Guts needed to make a conscious effort to protect Caska over his desire for vengeance (hearing her cry out and looking back at her); but this time, even though Guts flies at Griffith with the same stir of destructive emotions, Guts IMMEDIATELY set his mind to fighting, not from suffering and hatred, but fighting instead for justice and protecting the ones he loves... and, you know, putting that pale pretty boy in his place, pulling that prick right of his prideful pedestal. ;D
Anyway... Idon'tknow... Berserk is pretty cool. (yes- it's the reference you think.)

i was lucky enough to have read holy land , destroy and revolution and suicide island ( three of kouji morís manga )
All of them sincerely to me are fucking amazing , the first I had read was holy land , I trained martial arts all my life , and on those days I trained mhuay Thai , to me kouji mori was a mangaka that gave a very practical advice in holy land , the left right jab combination , did indeed work to have an advantage in a fight , also at the time it was the first time someone mentioned anywhere ( this is before full social media era ) that when you were giving good punches , the injuries should appear in the first two knuckles , if you had them in the last three , it meant you’d break your hand at some point, all seemed too practical in how the manga conveyed the whole fighting thing
Like two years ago or so , when miura died , kouji mouri did this one shot where it talked about their friendship , and there he talked about how he was into street racing , street fighting etc , while miura was always like a good hard working guy
I realised that he is one of those mangakas that writes about things he has deeply experienced , to me I feel that berserk is good in his hands , i can notice that the style has changed a bit , in the end miura had the hang of the story , i feel that little by little chapters are getting better , to me this berserk , held by a lifelong friend of the original author , is already a beautiful story

What a amazing work.
It's quite interesting how differently western and Japanese comic industry works: In Japan, the creator basically owns the IP and is the one who writes it, or at least is the one with the first say, if not the final say. If they stop the series, that's it, it's stopped. They rarely sell their IPs. This has the result of most IPs being very cohesive and thus relatively high quality.
Meanwhile in the west, nobody owns anything. Original IPs rarely make a dent and only things that sell are existing IPs. Which everyone can work on. This means the quality varies greatly, with also the IPs varying. This is why there's those stupid mutliverses in Marvel and DC, because different writers doing their "own takes" of characters that go against what was already established.
Miura's passing is what made me realize this difference. It's wild to think that they were ready to end Berserk right then and there after the creator died.
But if Berserk was a created in the west, they would've had 70 different people ready on stand by to work on it.
Which I think has pros and cons, I suppose. I do think it's a shame how "one-note" many mangas are, how they make a splash once or become overly long till the creators get bored.
But it does ensure quality. I think many wanted Berserk to end just because they were afraid that the people taking over would not get it and ruin it. But this only generally happens if you bring in people without knowing anything about anything, a.k.a. a business salesman. With Berserk, the people in charge now are Miura's assistants and such: They know what Berserk is about. They have Miura's notes. Even if he never wrote it down or shared how Berserk will end, I bet they have developed an intuition for what fits. They are not stupid and they respect the storytelling and what has been setup for decades.
