My idea on the whole "The end has no end" thing is that, if you loop the song, it would loop perfectly due to the drum fill Fab does. Just an idea.

versatilKJZ Ok, so you got this drum fill. A mini solo that usually involves the snare and toms, in this case just 1 tom. And it is usually used to transfer a measure in a nice way, or done for a measure in a transitional like moment for a song, or in this case, it is done for 2 measures because it sounds nice. So their drummer, Fab, does one in the beginning and one at the end, SO. When if you put the song on loop, and their is no pause, the song restarts seamlessly due to this fill, and thus the literalness of the title, The End Has No End. :3

So far what i'm getting is like: life is about making mistakes but you cant keep making the same mistakes. They could also be saying that if you think too much about something that never was youll never get over it; let it go. But the the same time theres a mystery in every decision you don't make which is very interesting but at the same time very time consuming to think about. So in conclusion time is fucked, mistakes are bound to happen, keep moving forward or be consumed? Somethink like that.

As its jumping through the decades you see the “same” guy going through the similar motions as his other counterparts. But now you got me thinking lol, it could probably mean that no matter the decade you were born in, the essence of “you” would still be there. Like the problems we’re personally facing right now would’ve manifested but in a way that adjusted to whichever decade.

The similar interactions at the end with each stage showing the contrast yet continuity of life

I woke up at 6 a.m. thinking about Mila Kunis and somehow remembered that she was in this. Forgot all about Eva Mendes being in it. LOVE the Strokes. I was obsessed with them back in the early 2000s and all these years later, they're still the real deal.

Back in 2001, Mila Kunis was best known for That 70s Show (Family Guy wasn't nearly as popular) and Eva Mendes was an unknown; Training Day didn't come out until the next year.
Also, people who weren't alive/cognizant of The Strokes in 2001 really don't understand how huge that band was for teens of that time. (Myself included.)
mistermalaprop I was born in 1999, and I honestly wish I was born in the 90's or 80's not just because of The Strokes and other music, but because of the generation in 2014. Almost every kid is careless about his/her surroundings when it comes to manners, people and intelligence. Not to mention most are ignorant. I know it has been this way, but if anyone from the last generation were to go back to school, you would notice more people like this.
This song is oddly true, when something ends, anything, something takes it's place.
Radiohead might be my brain and deep contemplative thoughts, Muse could be my emotions and a need for an expressive outburst, but The Strokes has my heart.

love this song and the strokes. theres a deeper message behind this song like other songs. but this one really speaks to me it's amazing
They show the women breastfeeding babies and then the grown man drinking a glass of milk. Then the cycle of him getting a degree, going to prom, going to work etc it never ends. The women never stop vacuuming and cleaning. Definitely a deeper meaning. But the truth is, the end does have an end, we won't be living forever or working forever, cleaning forever. We will be in our Graves and spiritually, perhaps on another plane or " In another dimension"

I got synesthesia when I first heard this song. Here's a video theory:
Class of 1988 - a sideways 8 denotes infinity, so 88 kinda represents infinity in both directions (past/future)
What we think is permanent happiness is part of a cycle that never ends, and Ryan's character is realizing how pointless it all is to make such effort when in the end he's all alone. So the monolith from 2001 arrives to gift him the next stage of evolution and free him of the cycle, right?

That's something you notice with some of their clips is they seem to overlap or have an element of another clip in some way. Like the ending of this one leads to 12:51 but also has the exploding star from Hard to Explain.
