Its one thing to require that information when selling/pawning to a pawn shop. Giving that information to purchase something from a pawn shop should NEVER be required. Jacob, you should be concerned since they now have your information.
Yeah, I take my privacy very seriously. I’d be out the door as soon as they required all that info and on top of that, share it and sell it. Do you really trust their data security and privacy policy? I wouldn’t.
It sounds like the policy of this pawn shop should be investigated by the state . The pawn shops in my town couldn't get away with these shady policies .
After doing some internet research, I found exactly where this Cash America location is in. The address is: 1320 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC, 28054 If you look this address up, you will see exactly where that photo was taken.

Oh hey, I know that chain. They bought out a lot of pawn shops in my state a long time ago. They're a big national brand. One of the neat things they have going for them is that you can search their inventory online -- which barely works, but at least it's a thing. The paid warranty thing is a scummy thing they only started doing in recent years. It used to be that you got a short return window and could pay to extend it. But now you've got to test everything before you take it out the door if you don't want to pay up. They have some pretty good prices though, and the auto discount system for old inventory. My last trip I went in to pick up a cheap PS4 Pro. They couldn't find the controllers it was supposed to come with, so the dude knocked it down to 80 bucks and threw in a free game. Then I went right over to gamestop and traded in the Red Dead 2 for 20 bucks bringing my grand total down to 60.
That’s Cash America Pawn for you when you first put into their system it takes five minutes. They have to copy everything that’s on your drivers license and your phone number.
I had that problem where my Xbox 360 used to beep on its own and turn itself off. I fixed the problem by disconnecting the ribbon cable from the power button. Only problem is to turn it on or eject you have to use the controller but for most games it's not a problem. I found it very hard to open it up though.
I have a 360 S that does this. I tried a different faceplate, no difference. Tempted to see if it's worth trying a different front panel board. I've heard that they might be tethered to the motherboard though?
@@corkyuk Try replacing the RF board. I just worked on one yesterday and thought the power/eject ribbon was possibly damaged. Turned out after replacing the RF board the problem disappeared. No signs of damage or other issues on the board so unsure why exactly it happens. Hope it works for you Edit: The RF board is not tethered to the motherboard, you can swap them out with no problem.
I even found exactly where they are lmaooo ( I mean the cash America in the end of the video via the photo, not where Jacob is) 1320 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC, 28054
The reason why the Xbox 360 keeps beeping is because whether the touch sensors are dirty or because the sensor is failing in some way shape or form, and also the reason my beeped with the HDMI put in is because sometimes HDMI can supply a little bit of power to the circuit, therefore where the sensors is already misbehaving, causing it to beep
I had a slim that was acting the one you got, I was able to fix it by cleaning it out as it had dead bugs in it which I assumbed to be intefering with the touch sensor. if that doesnt work then the ribbon cable could be failing, hopefully a simple issue.
Selling anything as-is doesn't stop them from being held liable for fraud, such as selling a refurbished device that hasn't even been opened. Ora device that is defective, or plain out broken.
My 360 used to make random noises on it's own it did it for years and I'm pretty sure it's the exact same thing model ... Still runs it's just a weird thing it does every now and then
You are supposed to give your ID, if you are selling stuff to a Pawn Shop. That's in case you are selling something that is stolen. They are supposed to keep the items purchased on hold for 30 days before being able to sell it. When you buy from them, always use cash, if in person.
We have a pawn shop thing that has been around for ages and that place looks like GameStop compared to this. That was a compliment. We also have a really cool retro store so that is awesome.
They both work good. You can now mod them and play what you want. That xbox got even extra beeping feature what makes it rare collectible. I don t understand that title.
Checking goodwill and of course the 360’s are now flooding in from people donating them thinking they’re worthless as the 360 storefront closed down. 🤣🤣🤣
I really wished I would’ve sold my Xbox 360 collection to you because I got ripped by GameStop lol but at the time I just needed money. Anyways I love your videos and keep up the great work.
I got 2 Xbox 360 slims from my local disc replay they both have the issue with the touch buttons and they have a beeping problem unfortunately both of them are out of warranty
I understand them needing your info if you were selling but if you are just buying, I wouldn't give them any info unless they at least offered a discount
This can be done for tracking purposes. For instance if an item ends up being stolen and sold to the pawn shop and reported later. This can aid law enforcement in tracking down the item to return it to the rightful owner. Sucks for the one who bought it, but that’s probably the main reason why.
My Xbox 360 Slim has that same issue where it beeps every now and then but it’s an RGH so I always figured it was something caused by someone who modded it. But maybe it was just a factory issue? 😂
The 360 more than luckily has the front cables for the power and disk eject that has issues mine turns on by it’s self and opens the disk bay by itself when it’s turned off it also makes beeping noises when it’s turned off
TH-camrs can upload multiple thumbnails and it'll tell the creator which thumbnail was clicked on the most to help them make better thumbnails for the future. It's also just a very common thing TH-camrs do to try and get the views up, along with changing the title a couple times.
My 360 slim turns it self on and off even when playing a game it just started doing this does anybody know why? Also I got a new power box still does it?
