Sabellian was never a bad guy. He actually helped players from both factions however briefly in Outland. He was just devoted to preserving the Black Dragons regardless of how events played out on Azeroth. He recognized the void’s corruption of his kin, especially Deathwing and cloistered his brood in Outland to avoid that same fate. Just how much culpability if any he has for the actions of Neltharian prior to the Cataclysm back on Azeroth is unclear and debatable, but what is clear is he wasn’t hellbent on the destruction of the world as his corrupted kin were.
I was hoping for dark horse candidate Emberthal but I am glad that Ebyssian was decided to become Aspect, I hope when he does gain that power they give him a unique dragon model with moose antlers!

Blizzard had already taken away Wrathions childhood, they could have made him an Aspect but then he would have even less life for himself. This is the only thing that reconciles me to the idea that 10 years of character development for Blizzard was not enough for something more. Definitely Wrathions story is not over but at this stage Blizzard 10 years of history equated to an almost unfamiliar dragon that came out of nowhere with a single quest in the past.
Ebyssian begins his ascent to the rank of Aspect. This is awesome. Sabellian and Wrathion both step down and shows their support to their kin. Beautiful.

Ebyssian is ideal to be an Aspect of the Black Dragon Flight, He's humble, wise, kind and being a shaman he's been with the Earth Mother for many years, i can think of no one better. May he guide the Black Dragons to a brighter future, using the lessons of the past and the cost as a reminder, for meddling with the shadows. But there's still the other Primalists and their other masters so there's more to come.

Like we were ever going to give you a choice! xD” Players: [Upset for being played around with like this… not up set with final choice]
And here I was hoping it would be Ebyssian as the new aspect from the start. I'm glad it's going to be him and the other two realized they aren't fit for such a position
I took all this to mean Neltharion had begun to go mad long long ago. Like Loken he resisted at first, and in his case it led to him being terrified of the horrors of reality, just like Sargeras and Zovaal. But he initially was trying to fight against them, not realizing he was growing more and more desperate and becoming N'zoth's puppet. And so there really is no legacy of Neltharion to claim, only Deathwing. The real Neltharion was lost long long ago, before the Demon Soul, before Raszageth, he was the greatest mistake of the Titans and gave the Old Gods their perfect herald. I still like to believe that imprisoning the dracthyr instead of killing them was one of the last vestiges of Neltharion clinging on as Deathwing consumed his mind. One tiny bit of him felt fatherly pride for the dracthyr and was able to save them from himself.
Actually in War of the Scaleborn novel he is still very much himself, even after he gives in to Void power to defeat Raszageth, and fights the whispers as much as he can. It is really tragic to read how much he cared for other Aspects, especially Malygos and Alexstrasza. The mistake Neltharion made was never seeking out help, first because he thought he could handle it then gradually out of fear of how the other Aspects would react.
When I was sitting there after Sabellian and Wrathion charged into Aberrus, seeing that Ebyssian chose to not follow and rather stayed with Emberthal, my only thoughts were "That's my Aspekt". He was such a great leader during the quests about their flyght and the Dracthyr. This moment, when the 2 "petulant whelps" declared unworthy to be aspects and gave up their fight over the throne, that moment made me cry.
Hell yeah, I knew it would be him as soon as the bickering began. And i don't mind at all... Ebyssian has earned his patience. The patience of the earth...
The only thing I don't like about Black Dragonflight storyline is that it seems to imply that Neltharion was bad even before he got corrupted by the Old Gods. It took me a second playthrough through 10.1 storyline to realize MOST of the twisted things we see in Aberrus began after Neltharion started descending into madness. We had to wait for the War of the Scaleborn novel to see the good side of him, the REAL Neltharion that in my opinion we only ever got to see for a brief moment in War of the Ancients: Demon Soul, when Neltharion holds all the dragons with Demon Soul and Alexstrasza tries to speak reason to him, and for a VERY brief moment it seems to get to him, as he tries to shake his head to silence Old Gods' voices. In War of the Scaleborn, the way he cared for the other Aspects, especially Alexstrasza, was really touching and tragic to read, knowing what happens to him eventually.
I was actually hoping for it since Ebyssian wasn't fixated on leading it while wrath and sab was, he was fixated on saving azeroth and helping dracthyr
I wish when he recieve his Titan Boon Ebyssian's Horns become like that of High Moutain in his Dragon Form. It would be cool for a black Dragon to have Moose horns.
To everyone who hated last weeks cinematic, I told you that we would be getting more cinemtaics when the campaign is over. Stop complaining about the story not being told in game like they did in the past with books and alternative media. They gave us the culmination of the Dracthyr and Black dragonflight storyline in a way we all asked for: in the game as we played it.
Some streamers I see hate on DF story, but as I see it by everything that happened till now DF has the best storytelling WOW had in a decade with exception of Legion on same level with it. I feel legion was only good because it was "The Burning Legion", lore from Warcraft franchise, and the story was good. But dragonflight is excelent by now, I even liked Sarkareth ending, i thought it was really fitting for his character arc. Great storytelling in Dragonflight so far, keep up Blizz.

Players: “What about Ebyssian?”
Blizzard: “Who? It’s either Wrathian or Sebellian.”
Players: “Well… I guess I’ll choos-“
Blizzard: “PSYCH! Like we were ever going to give you a choice! xD”
Players: [Upset for being played around with like this… not up set with final choice]
Exactly. It's disgusting. I'm glad that Ebissian became an Aspect, but the way they did it... The fans got spit in the face again.
God I love moo dragon so much
Looks like Old Ebonhorn is moving up in the world.
Can't even be mad at Ebyssian for hiding out during MoP/WoD. He's been right of the thick of things and is no longer hiding from responsiblity.
called it at start of expansion. im glad it came true and we have a tauren aspect
Hell yeah, I knew it would be him as soon as the bickering began. And i don't mind at all... Ebyssian has earned his patience. The patience of the earth...
I knew it!
i had a gut feeling that Ebyssian would be the new black dragon aspect.
This was a really good one! Blues were a bit better but both are outstanding. Keep these types of things coming. DF is great so far.
I'm actually glad Ebyssian got picked and glad we met him on Legion
I was actually hoping for it since Ebyssian wasn't fixated on leading it while wrath and sab was, he was fixated on saving azeroth and helping dracthyr
Why do I get the feeling that Ebyssian is going to die horribly? Maybe not soon but characters like him usually meet gruesome fates.
How long before hes turned into a raid boss?
And everyone was disappointed that the end Raid cinematic was too short? Well, they forgot the include THIS part.
I wish when he recieve his Titan Boon Ebyssian's Horns become like that of High Moutain in his Dragon Form. It would be cool for a black Dragon to have Moose horns.
Ebyssian coronation ceremony commence. New model for his black dragonflight aspect.
Great storytelling in Dragonflight so far, keep up Blizz.
something is fishy about ebyssian! i cant put my finger on it but he always escapes the big battles for something and he left those two in the new raid ... its like he is planning smething also his face looks like a skull? can it be Bwonsamdi?looks very much the same face style painting/tattoo w/e plotting or something xD
He always escapes the big battles because he never wanted to meddle. It's his whole arc: From hiding in highmountain to realizing that he don't get to hide.
But I like conspiracies in WoW too, so I'm not opposing you or anything 😀
@@GioFan201051 im just saying maybe he didnt want us to see something XD even in new raid he went off and didnt join them both maybe it would have revealed something he didn't want us to see xD all others knew he was a dragon. just saying something is off about him!
he's not a fighter by nature, and he let the brothers go into Abberus to find their own answers unfiltered by anyone else. he'll make a fine Aspect
This cutscene was amazing.
The music is just so calming and the voice actors are knocking it out the park.
That moment they all look at Ebyssian like: Which means.....
And he just stands there like this humble Tauren.
Amazing
Ebyssian’ a fate becoming the aspect is much like Bran becoming the king of kings landing neither of them sought it and were rewarded for their wisdom
I hardly call the three eyed raven Bran Stark anymore. He doesn't really feel like Bran anymore.
Except this one actually makes sense:)
@@marton_horvath I second that.
Seballion and wrathion literally said "not it"!
I know the Ebysian will be an aspect.
I had a feeling this would happen. the best choice for certain; I want the conversations between Ebyssian, Baine and Anduin about their father's legacies.........
Finally Blizzard telling a story. The old Blizz would have left us on a cliffhanger for next expansion.
Nice to see. Wasn't 100% sure on it since I figure he would've turned the chance down.
FINALLY!!!!!!! the one and only aspect worthy black dragon in the whole game , little sad for wrathion but hey never know in the future :P
Seems like this should've been the cutscene at the end of Aberrus
Yep, makes perfect sense. He's the ideal choice.
A predictable outcome, of course, but one I find myself quite comfortable with.
oftentimes the best leaders are those that rather not take up that role, but do so when called upon.
Great men do not seek power. They have power thrust upon them.
I learned that from Mr. Worf.
