  • A 7-seating vehicle which is dynamic, luxurious and ultimately Mitsubishi capable off-road, this is the new Pajero Sport. The seven seating family SUV space has been largely dominated in South Africa by the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Everest and although a bit later to the party, Mitsubishi has certainly brought a solid contender to the market with the new Pajero Sport.
    Just why is it such a solid performer? I think that this question can best be answered with only three simple words "Only One Type." While most vehicles on the market, particularly the likes of luxury SUV's feature an options list as long as your arm, the Pajero Sport is refreshingly simple to buy. It comes with one spec and trim level only! This is well specced!
    It all starts with the performance, the Pajero Sport is powered by Mitsubishi's tried and tested 4-cylinder 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, capable of producing 133 kW at 3 500 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at a low and two capable 2 500 rpm. All the power is put through Mitsubishi's all-new 8-speed automatic transmission, which is standard on the Pajero Sport and works seamlessly. Mitsubishi claims 17% improvement on CO2 and fuel economy figures owing to the improved gearbox and setup within the new Pajero Sport with a combined claimed fuel economy figure of just 8.1 L/100km, a figure which I was able to achieve.
    The nameplate Pajero has been associated with solid performance off-roading for as long as I can remember. This is certainly the case with the new Pajero Sport as well. Available as either 4x2 or 4x4, the Pajero Sport rides at an impressive 215 mm of ride height. The Pajero Sport is also fitted with the latest-generation Mitsubishi Super-Select 4WD-II four-wheel drive rotary select system which includes Off-road Mode and Hill Descent Control. Couple the Super-Select with its off-road specific tyres and impressive ride height and you have a vehicle which will certainly offer a full adventure for the entire family.
    To further bolster the solidity of the Pajero Sport, this latest generation vehicle offers a lot in the way of passenger safety systems, including 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, active stability control with traction control and a brake override system. Sharp smooth lines make for the "Sport" name in the title. This is further evident when you step into the new vehicle. The steering wheel is adorned by two massive "flappy paddles." This is the first clue that the Pajero Sport is designed to live up to its name and offer a sporty, yet solid drive no matter the surface.
    The interior space is also home to some very plush and comfortable leather seats, and large easy to reach tactile switchgear which is both stylish and rugged. The Pajero Sport features a simple yet intuitive multimedia system and offers the likes of Bluetooth, USB, Auxiliary and also climate controlled air-conditioning.
    Comfortable suspension and NVH levels have improved as well, making the vehicle ride more gently and in a more planted manner than that of its predecessor. Aids such as a reversing camera and improved visibility further add to the luxury element of the new vehicle.

    • @TechnoBokUnboxings
      @TechnoBokUnboxings  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the tow rating is 3100 kilograms for a braked trailer, or 750kg for a trailer without brakes.

    Hi I am new to your channel. Which country are you in as I am in Australia, we have 3 levels of trim on the Pajero Sport, same mechanicals as one you tested but all our variants can tow 3100kg. Ours sell for between $43000 to $51000 Australian dollars. Cheers.

    Off road ability? Fuel consumption? Bluetooth? Number of gear ratios? Safety features? Etc etc etc. Why did I bother watching this, it taught me nothing useful about this vehicle.

      Makoto Shishio. The MITSUBISHI design is very disappointing. I am sorry. I appreciate the new ISUZU MU, new TOYOTA Fortuner, new SUBARU, new FORD EDGE, RANGE ROVER, new TOUAREG or new Q5 AUDI.
