Let's explore the depths of this scenario in the video.
Darth Maul sits alone in his chambers on Dathmor, reading through ancient holocrons that his troops recently recovered. Although he still leads the Crimson Dawn, this criminal empire is a shadow of its former self.
All his attempts to strengthen his hold in the criminal underworld face heavy resistance from rival gangs and Palpatine's new empire. His only hope to gain the upper hand is to find Sith artifacts. But few of the relics are of any real use. At least until now.
With the most recent temple raid, the Crimson Dawn discovered some documents from the Old Sith Empire that detail some of their artifacts. Among them was a legendary ring of immense power. It was located on a planet far away from known space, at the very edges of the Old Sith Empire.
This means even Palpatine may not know about it. Maul decides to set out to the planet known as Middle Earth. On this primitive world, Maul begins learning about the ring.
Eventually, he learns of a place called the Shire where an individual named Bilbo supposedly can turn invisible. Maul decides to confront the Hobbit. When he arrives, he sees that he isn't alone as inside the house, an older man is talking with Bilbo about the ring.
Maul smiles and kicks the door open.
Maul: Good evening, I could not help but notice your disagreement about that ring. Please, allow me to take it off your hands.
Gandalf: I assure you, friend. You want no part of this ring.
Maul: Oh, I believe I do.
Maul draws himself up to his full height, feeling the dark energies of the ring. Even without wearing it, he feels it feeding him, lending him its power. The wizard senses this too and conjures his staff.
Gandalf: Begone from this place, monsters!
He slams it down and sends a shockwave that throws Maul out the window.
Maul crashes through the window, landing on the cobblestone street below. He quickly regains his footing, his eyes blazing with fury.
Maul: Impressive, old man. But you'll find I'm not so easily defeated.
With a snarl, Maul ignites his double-bladed lightsaber. The crimson blades hum menacingly as he charges at Gandalf. The wizard meets his attack head-on, parrying the saber with his staff, which glows with a radiant white light.
Gandalf: You shall not pass!
Gandalf swings his staff, sending another shockwave that pushes Maul back, but the Sith Lord uses the Force to cushion his fall. He snarls and lunges again, using a combination of saber strikes and Force pushes. Gandalf deflects the strikes by summoning a protective shield and counters with a powerful fire spell, sending bursts of flames at Maul.
The duel rages on with Gandalf advancing on the Sith Lord, swinging his staff in one hand and unleashing spells with the other. Maul was not expecting to fight such a being and Gandalf gains the upper hand, his spells keeping Maul at bay. But Maul is relentless, his rage fueling his attacks.
Maul: You underestimate the power of the dark side, wizard!
With a sudden burst of speed, Maul closes the distance and uses the Force to grab onto the wizard's staff. He lifts it with Gandalf holding it and slams it to the ground, sending the wizard groaning.
Before he can get up, Maul uses the Force to begin choking Gandalf, lifting him off the ground.
Gandalf struggles, gasping for air as Maul's grip tightens. But suddenly, Bilbo comes stumbling out, holding the ring before him .
Bilbo: Please, take the ring, but spare his life!
Gandalf: No Bilbo!
Maul's eyes gleam with triumph. He releases Gandalf, who falls to the floor, coughing and gasping. Bilbo reluctantly hands the ring to Maul.
Maul: A wise choice, little one.
He leaves the two behind and returns to his ship where he puts on the Ring. Almost at once, Maul feels a surge of power course through him. The darkness in the room fills the night brother with power.
And then he finds himself transported to the Wraith World where he faces the ancient Sith ghosts. Among them is the great Sith Lord Sauron. The spirit of ancient evil looms over him.
Sauron: It has been an eternity since a Sith Lord possessed my ring.
Maul: And one worthy of its power.
Sauron: That remains to be seen. Tell me night brother, what do you desire?
Maul: To claim what is rightfully mine. To rule as the master of the Sith and to accomplish our final goal over the galaxy. Lend me your power and I shall spread the dark side to all corners of the galaxy.
Sauron: So it shall be. You shall be my champion in the mortal plain. Seek out my lieutenant, Saruman the White, and take control of my armies. Together, we shall conquer Middle Earth and then the galaxy.
But as Maul takes this new power, the Ring sends out a strong presence in the Force, alerting old enemies of this development, Obi-Wan.
The former Jedi Master senses the great evil through a vision and journeys to Middle Earth. Gandalf

Me, too, my friend, me too! That is the beauty of fan-fic. You can cross ANYTHING, but SW works particularly well with LOTR because in truth, in spite of the space ship and blasters, SW is much more akin to fantasy than science fiction and I could totally imagine that Sauron, then Sauromon, as Sith Lords.
It would be cool if Maul had Darth Talon as a secret apprentice around the time after order 66 in that 16 years of his life not explored enough.
Dude... Sauron himself is like a handful of changes away from being a full-fledged Sith Lord. And Morgoth is like a manifestation of the Dark Side itself. And the One Ring... Well, let's just that any Sith Lord who got their mits on it would certainly become far, far more powerful than *ANY* Jedi without the backing of somebody like Ayru(Basically God in Tolkien's legendarium).
Sauron is definitely more powerful than any Sith could ever hope to be. Sauron is a Maia, basically a lesser angel, who has existed since before time and space, and he, alongside the other Maiar and the Valar, literally brought about the creation of all existence through song. Sith can become immensely powerful, but there has never been one that has ever had the power to assist in the creation of time and space.

@stephenwells6434 Even Vitiate, for all his immense power, still died in the end. Sauron, on the other hand, is truly incapable of ever fully dying in any permanent way.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 True, but Sauron could still be defeated even with his immortality. Elendil and Gil-Galad managed to defeat him during the War of the Last Alliance, although they were both killed in the process.

I think if I was Gandalf I would question the red and black figure walking into my friend's home. Gandalf only needs to take one look at him and sees this humanoid being is up to no good just by his appearance alone.

Well they do already have a drug called spice, so I can't see it being that different.
Similar properties too. Given size of the Imperium in Dune is left fairly open, and Lucasarts already had plans (at one point) to include Earth in the Unknown Regions, be easy enough to set it in the Galactic Southwest. Should be outside the bounds of Chiss space, far enough outside that of the Ssi-ruk that including an invasion by them (using their forces of enteched [stolen life force powered] droid forces. Fits the background Dune lore, and would explain away theor unique technology. Most of those from the main Star Wars galaxy is reworked or evolved Rakattan technology. Dune folks wiped all their higher tech out during the Butlerian Jihad after they threw off a cyborg/machine AI uprising.
Fremen and Sauderkar would be a force equal to the Mandalorians and other legendary martial traditions.

@@jamesfry8983 Chiss had their own unique method. As did the Rakata, Gree, Kwa, and several others. How exactly fold space works in Dune is conjecturable, but parallels to the Inginity Gates could be made.

What if Revan wasn't found in stasis until the first year of the clone wars? That would mean that Revan in his prime would be alive and well, and Darth Vitiate's spirit would still be dormant since Revan didn't awake his spirit at Yavin.

@@DarthTheorist what if the Ishtari were Grey Jedi? Gandalf & Saruman were beings who learned to become force users but only used powers of the “dark side” when deemed absolutely necessary. But Saruman delved too deep into it and it corrupted him, making him easy prey for Sauron. Thus setting off the events of LOTR. I don’t know how to intertwine a Star Wars timeline but the most ideal time would be either from Episodes 2 & 3 or even the Old Republic times.
@@DarthTheorist this isn’t LOTR related, but what if Obi-Wan & Anakin on one of their many missions encountered the force Ghost of Revan? Obi-Wan would be weary of him due to his past as a Sith but Anakin would be enthralled by him because he always had an air of darkness about him. Revan could help him reach his full potential and maybe through their interactions with him, release the Jedi from their hubris and make them better as a whole. Just thinking outloud. I love KOTOR lol

What if anakin was piloting before attack of the clones and sensed ventress fall to the darkside as her master died and took his ship to the planet to investigate. Perhaps starting a romance as they are very similar in their stories.
Also what if ahsoka taught ben skywalker as she saw him as history repeating itself.

Or anakin became a healer either before or after his mother death could be related to his friendship with offee or alternatively what if he was trained by tra sa who taught windu and actually did not forbid attachment as shown by her relationship with tholme , they could become like a pseudo parents to anakin and train him away from the temple in azati martial arts and from trasa the living force as she is a plant lady so imagine anakin controlling plant life.
I can see how middle earth can easily be conquered by a sith Lord if someone like Darth Maul is able to take down soldiers like that but then again clones are just normal people watch like their soldiers but there technology is so primitive I can see

Nah, no one from Star Wars would ever be able to conquer the world of Arda solely because if someone did, then the Valar would step in. The Valar are primordial beings that existed since before time and space was even a concept. They are beings that are one step below God (not a god, THE God), Eru, and the Valar, alongside the slightly lesser Maiar, brought about the creation of all existence through song. They are not beings who would sit idly by and see their pride and joy be conquered by an outside force, they would likely take it upon themselves to defend Arda, and there is truly nothing in the Star Wars galaxy besides possibly the Force itself that could do anything against them.

This was a great story, EXCEPT...
Why was Theoden King left out of it? The greatest hero of LOTR, and all he gets is a momentary reference? You left out a great and noble character, and I do not understand why.
Time constraints most likely. They would have to voice and write in so many characters that it would bloat this video.

MY IMMERSIOM IS BROKEN! Yet to have heard a reason why Obi-Wan ain't just pop back up into orbit, call in to the council for Jedi backup, as well as a top-size invasion force of multiple Acclimaters and Republic Assault Ships. Really only would need one Acclimater's air wing, but would need a TON of army battle groups for an insane amount of deep penetration search & destroy missions cleaning out all the scattered orc strongholds. Smaug may have been the last of the flying dragons, so those in the northern wastes would be easy pickings for bombing runs. Anyways....lov8ng the crao out of thos otherwise..........EXCEPT the name of the planet is Arda, not Middle Earth 😡😤😅🤣🤩💓

Obi wan could have called in the rest of the Jedi council it would have given them an army to crush Saurons army easily.

I'm going to be honest, if the One was a Sith artifact, it wouldn't be as dangerous as it actually is in Tolkien's work. Sith can become immensely powerful and some are even capable of finding ways to become somewhat immortal, but no Sith could ever truly compare to Sauron. Sauron is a Maia, basically a lesser angelic being, who has existed since before time and space and who played a part in bringing about the creation of all existence through song. Sith can gain power, but they can't become primordial beings who can create time and space.
