The funny thing about all of this is that I do not think this was an accident by 343. This was all part of the plan to extend Halo Infinite over a 10 year period. Putting out Forge and Co-Op all out once means they would have to make more content at a faster pace. Also you know Microsoft tried to buy Bungie back but Bungie was like hell no. We don't want anything to do with Halo anymore.

Developers have to believe and HALO didn't get epilogue when it needed and they prolonged story which is boring without any messages, without any education element's like all PS Exclusives have , HALO become B movie title with mute main character having A.I. in his head and whole idea is not good and from what I heard success is that they made Infinite because it was ordered game with Xbox tops giving them ideas in the middle of production making devs feeling claustrophobic and now we can see that in the game poor graphics, dead nature, stupid story , stolen mechanic with grappling hook, bad physics, bad optimization with a lot of sacrifice ect. Yep the game is 1000000% dead at this point, there is no path for recovery. All the other big F2P games will keep getting better and better, never giving Halo Infinite a chance to catch its breath. I'm even gonna say, this is the end of 343i as they currently exist. They will probably get turned into a support studio, and they'll tap iD Software to reboot the entire IP (or just bring the IP to an end and push DOOM or Quake or some new FPS as their marquee FPS IP). Such a sad, *pitiful* end to a franchise that at one point, *used* to DOMINATE the FPS scene and set standards. It's such a massive failure, arguably the single biggest decline of ANY notable IP in the history of the industry.

its cause the game feels good to play, but everyone was in the honey moon phase so every looked past the issues now theyre over the honey moon period and while the gameplay is fun there’s literally no content so yk. and a lot of halo players including me are discontent with infinite not only due to the lack of content and communication but because these exact same issues happened with halo the master chief collection when it launched and halo 5 when it launched so to have a studio make the same mistake 3 times in a row just gets frustrating and most of us are just over it
When Sony acquired Bungie, Xbox fanboys mocked it because Halo didn't come with that acquisition. There is a reason Bungie didn't need Halo in order to thrive when they left Microsoft; the game ran its course years ago. But, because Halo was about the only game Microsoft had that could sell the Xbox, Microsoft couldn't let it go nor could they come up with anything new or equivalent. But this is why it's better to go after talent rather than an IP. An IP can easily die while actual talent will always prevail at the end of the day.

I have both consoles, I feel letdown by both companies. Microsoft disappointed me with Halo Infinite entire game, and Sony disappointed me with Gran Turismo 7 unbalanced economy, micro transactions and DRM. Really liking Horizon Forbidden West.

Microsoft are terrible at managing their gaming division, they always seem to f up their exclusives and I never thought they would do it to the beloved Halo, all the time and money wasted, how's that possible? Forza was a nice suprise and it actually showed the Series X and next gen capabilities. Halo Infinite gameplay is solid but the whole game feels so dry, I don't feel like I'm playing a next gen Halo, it actually made me miss old Halos like Halo 3 and Reach. I just hope Microsoft change their culture of messing up their valuable ips and actually push standards in gaming, throwing money at things doesn't guarantee quality, you need to have a culture of high standards across the board

Sometimes i think because microsoft sets the bar so low that any game that comes out that just simply does things correctly (which is what is supposed to be expected) xbox players go berserk. Not a shot on elden ring.. its fun which is a priority but it doesn't do anything to push the envelope imo.
1st party titles are the reason I buy consoles. Microsoft does not make good 1st party games. I can also play 3rd party titles on Sony's offerings, which is an added bonus. Add that with the fact I game on PC as well, and that makes Xbox consoles obsolete to me.
Xbox 360 was a good console, don't get me wrong. But MS doesn't have the best track record of letting developers have freedom to make good games. Ever since Mechwarrior and Age of Empires, not to mention how woke they are going. Don't believe me? Listen to the interview and podcasts of many of the talented developers that used to work on Rare and how they talk about how MS management would always get in the way, both creatively and monetarily. Sure, MS today has colossal games companies that sell hits, like Fallout, Doom, The Elder Scrolls, COD, WOW, etc, but those games have been doing bad for years now. WOW bleeding players, Fallout losing reputation due to Fallout 4 and 76, Elder Scrolls have been dissected as a bad RPG and having bad combat and that there hasn't been a good entry since Morrowind, Gears why even talk about it the best games are 1 and 2, has the best maps, the best multiplayer the best balance. I could go on. Not to mention how they push GamePass, a renting digital platform that takes away ownership of the buyer which is in line with "You will eatz ze bugs" goofy Elites. Though the Series X has many good things like backwards compatible, good hardware, easy to fix due to how the components are set up, etc, it's just that the games aren't the same. And while I'm criticizing MS, Sony is also the same if not worse.

The funny thing about all of this is that I do not think this was an accident by 343. This was all part of the plan to extend Halo Infinite over a 10 year period. Putting out Forge and Co-Op all out once means they would have to make more content at a faster pace. Also you know Microsoft tried to buy Bungie back but Bungie was like hell no. We don't want anything to do with Halo anymore.

Developers have to believe and HALO didn't get epilogue when it needed and they prolonged story which is boring without any messages, without any education element's like all PS Exclusives have , HALO become B movie title with mute main character having A.I. in his head and whole idea is not good and from what I heard success is that they made Infinite because it was ordered game with Xbox tops giving them ideas in the middle of production making devs feeling claustrophobic and now we can see that in the game poor graphics, dead nature, stupid story , stolen mechanic with grappling hook, bad physics, bad optimization with a lot of sacrifice ect. I'm even gonna say, this is the end of 343i as they currently exist. They will probably get turned into a support studio, and they'll tap iD Software to reboot the entire IP (or just bring the IP to an end and push DOOM or Quake or some new FPS as their marquee FPS IP).
Such a sad, *pitiful* end to a franchise that at one point, *used* to DOMINATE the FPS scene and set standards. It's such a massive failure, arguably the single biggest decline of ANY notable IP in the history of the industry.

When Sony acquired Bungie, Xbox fanboys mocked it because Halo didn't come with that acquisition. There is a reason Bungie didn't need Halo in order to thrive when they left Microsoft; the game ran its course years ago. But, because Halo was about the only game Microsoft had that could sell the Xbox, Microsoft couldn't let it go nor could they come up with anything new or equivalent. But this is why it's better to go after talent rather than an IP. An IP can easily die while actual talent will always prevail at the end of the day.

I have both consoles, I feel letdown by both companies. Microsoft disappointed me with Halo Infinite entire game, and Sony disappointed me with Gran Turismo 7 unbalanced economy, micro transactions and DRM. Really liking Horizon Forbidden West.

This exposes the danger of Game Pass. All Xbox cares about now is the number of subscibers. That's what they're showing to investors and shareholders. The metric of success isn't how good or popular the games are, it's what the reviews they paid say at launch and the number of subscribers they have.
And they tell you an aggregate number of subs, not current number.

I said it once and I say it again 343 is a failure. I’m glad I never wasted my money on getting halo infinite. After the halo 5 I’m like yeah they suck. There is more but to shorten it. Microsoft are terrible at managing their gaming division, they always seem to f up their exclusives and I never thought they would do it to the beloved Halo, all the time and money wasted, how's that possible? Forza was a nice suprise and it actually showed the Series X and next gen capabilities. Halo Infinite gameplay is solid but the whole game feels so dry, I don't feel like I'm playing a next gen Halo, it actually made me miss old Halos like Halo 3 and Reach. I just hope Microsoft change their culture of messing up their valuable ips and actually push standards in gaming, throwing money at things doesn't guarantee quality, you need to have a culture of high standards across the board

Sometimes i think because microsoft sets the bar so low that any game that comes out that just simply does things correctly (which is what is supposed to be expected) xbox players go berserk. Not a shot on elden ring.. its fun which is a priority but it doesn't do anything to push the envelope imo.

1st party titles are the reason I buy consoles. Microsoft does not make good 1st party games. I can also play 3rd party titles on Sony's offerings, which is an added bonus. Add that with the fact I game on PC as well, and that makes Xbox consoles obsolete to me.

Xbox 360 was a good console, don't get me wrong. But MS doesn't have the best track record of letting developers have freedom to make good games. Ever since Mechwarrior and Age of Empires, not to mention how woke they are going. Don't believe me? Listen to the interview and podcasts of many of the talented developers that used to work on Rare and how they talk about how MS management would always get in the way, both creatively and monetarily. Sure, MS today has colossal games companies that sell hits, like Fallout, Doom, The Elder Scrolls, COD, WOW, etc, but those games have been doing bad for years now. WOW bleeding players, Fallout losing reputation due to Fallout 4 and 76, Elder Scrolls have been dissected as a bad RPG and having bad combat and that there hasn't been a good entry since Morrowind, Gears why even talk about it the best games are 1 and 2, has the best maps, the best multiplayer the best balance. I could go on. Not to mention how they push GamePass, a renting digital platform that takes away ownership of the buyer which is in line with "You will eatz ze bugs" goofy Elites. Though the Series X has many good things like backwards compatible, good hardware, easy to fix due to how the components are set up, etc, it's just that the games aren't the same. And while I'm criticizing MS, Sony is also the same if not worse.

Microsoft probably made them separate the multiplayer game from the main game, because if sh*t hits the fan and they have to stop supporting the game, no one can complain about it, because it’s free.
