I'm not defending him, I'm Diana team forever, but I'm trying to understand where he's coming from too. Bullied by a tyrannical father, ignored by a careless mother, sent to draconian military schools that destroyed his soul, denied marriage to the woman he loved, he hoped to find refuge in his public role and receive some attention from there, and he was doing just that before Diana appeared in his life, then his last shred of hope crumbled. Comparisons with Diana were inevitable, but, compared to this dazzling young woman, he stood no chance: he was and looked older, he was boring, he was angry, he looked depressed, he represented the old order, which people already resented so much, he didn't seem to love his wife at all and people could feel that etc. All that, combined with the constant presence of his mistress in his life, led to the bitterness that we see in this clip.

@bogdancrisrea9270. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 😊 I was not a big fan of Diana. I agree with your post. Well said.
Diana would not have even looked at Charles twice if he was a butcher or a baker or a candle stick maker. According to family and friends Diana wanted to be princess of Wales since her childhood and her fantasies were a let down. Diana never factored in that she would have to obey royal rules and royal regulations and royal couriers and the royal family and the queen and.... Diana ( and Harry ) want the royal life but on THEIR terms! Charles was more accustomed to most of it. NOT EVERYTHING can be blamed on Camilla and Charles infidelity!! Diana never wanted to commit to her duties because Diana couldn't or wouldn't OBEY! I think it's good if Diana had her own mind but I think Diana had far too much of it...

They were both esentially railroaded into a marriage by their families, I remember Diana talking about how she told her sister before the wedding she wasn't sure about it and her sister told her it was too late to back out.....if that were my sister I'd be like .....get in the car I'll drive. Neither was emotionally mature enough to marry, he was emotionally stunted, probably due to his cold childhood. As for Diana, good person who was also a master of manipulation when it came to the press. If Charles hadn't been the Prince of Wales she would never have even glanced his way. I do think he cared for her, as the mother of his children, after she died he had to go in and ID her, staff at that hospital said that he just wailed, and I think he's honored her in the way he raised their sons, and the fact that both boys seem to have been able to freely choose their own partners. Neither was blameless, both had affairs, they were both wrong for each other and the victims of an outdated monarchy's rules.

Charles was unfair to blame Diana for his jealousy but I actually feel for him here. His mother was distant, his father favored his sister over him, and the public favors his wife (whom they were pressured to marry) over him. The man just wanted to be loved. Still doesn’t justify having an affair with Camilla.

Diana should have had a Tommy Lascelles in her life! He would have seen through Diana's manipulative side and set her straight! Unfortunately he retired before she married Charles. Diana was like a train off its track! Awful woman!

😢😢😢😢😢. I wonder if Diana ever loved Charles? She did however, LOVE the title of Princess and cameras and microphones and press coverage - till the day she passed... If Diana wanted her place in the sun then Diana must deal with her blisters and not berate everyone around her! NOT EVERYTHING can be blamed on the infidelity of Charles and Camilla! Diana was never wrong, never sorry and it was never her fault! Charles remained with his one true love Camilla 💖. Diana took all her married boyfriends back to Kensington Palace and I feel bad for their innocent wives and children. They should have gone on Oprah instead of Harry and Me-gain. According to family and friends Diana wanted to be princess of Wales since her childhood! Her mother warned her about getting into the royal family and thought Diana was unfit for the position....

Diana WAS a bit of an actress, not to mention a narcissist. She could have left the family alone after the split and then moved on, but no, she seized every camera opportunity to badmouth them. Even Tony Blair mentioned that in the movie "The Queen".
