That bracelet at 6:33 is not made from karat gold, it's gold filled indicated by GF on the tag. The item is made from a base metal bonded to a sheet of 12k gold. The ratio between the karat gold and base metal is 1 part Karat to 20 parts base. So, in other words, only 1/20th of that bracelet is made from 12k gold. It's much thicker and better wearing that gold plated but does not have the value of karat gold.
Make it easy..18k gold is 18 parts gold,6 parts is another metal forming an (Alloy)with 75% gold..14k gold is 14 parts gold,(10 parts another metal),and so forth..very simple..hmmm
Thank you for information...........now i get it what is 24 carat in gold One more Q did u eat that remain carrot... ??? I feel to eat carrot so i will bought it and eat. Thank you ...........-_-
Possible issues: Not 3.7 grams Not Italian Not 585 gold Has mercury (toxic on skin) Was stolen, is from the bank robbery last week in Indonesia. Your neighbor picks plastic trash for living. Since when is he a credible source of anything? Hello?? Worth it? Hmmm. It could of course also be 100% legit, but you do the math on chances.
thanks sir but there was an confusion to me at my place people make jewellery ok 22carat that means 91% of gold in it is it good or jewellers fool us....???
22k = 91.6% gold content. Problem: for bracelets, rings, chains it is too soft, bends, tears and scratches easily. Only really practical for pictures, statues or coating on something not touched.
there is 22k gold in fact, besides the 21k,,i have worked on 22k they are soft since it is near pure,,easy to work and have beautiful color near pure 24k gold color,,,so there is 22k gold items on the markets specially in india singapore dubai....etc
Not happening. It's probably 12 kt which means it's 50% gold. It's a good alloy, adding more gold would just make the links in a necklace too soft and open easy, which is not practical.
Gold & Silver mixed makes A Green Medal... not white gold. Either Nickel or Palladium are added to make white gold, Copper and Brass are added to Rose gold mostly Copper though. Silver, Brass, and or Copper are added to Yellow Gold. The most Widely used Karat is 14K witch is 60% Gold..
+Juan Justo Decimals in this case involve rounding, 14k = 58.33333...%, fractions are more accurate 14/24. Here is some video footage about the chemistry of gold th-cam.com/video/UGe4qrJ3n-8/w-d-xo.html
+Lynell Holmes "Why is he writing 26 but calling it 26?" What else should he call "26" other than 26? But he never said 26 anyway. Do you mean 24? That is the standard measure; the purest gold is 24 parts. The same way 100cm makes a meter etc. So 18 carat gold means it has 18 out of the 24 parts is pure gold and 24-18 = 6, so 6 parts (out of the 24) is an allow (some other metal). Likewise, 12 carat gold means it has 12 parts gold and 12 parts allow (i.e. 50% gold). The closer you are to 24 means the purer your gold is. 22 carat gold is 22 parts pure gold (or fine gold) and 2 parts alloy (i.e. 91.67% gold) Everything should add up to 24. For example, you can't say you have 18 carat gold if it's comprised of 12 parts gold and 12 parts alloy. Likewise, you can't say you have 18 carat gold and say it's comprised of 18 parts gold with 10 parts allow because that doesn't add up to 24.
Nice video. Karat or Carat? Although both these terms are used in the jewelry business, they have completely different meanings, I thought. A karat is a unit of measurement that applies to the purity of gold. A carat is a measurement used in weighing gemstones. Don’t confuse the two. What you are teaching of is the karat. Well, that's how we learned it in the United States.
I don`t have any confusion at all, purity of gold was presented thoroughly. Diamonds are right here th-cam.com/video/bcjx7DNKtGQ/w-d-xo.html and here th-cam.com/video/9O8FoJDpfNQ/w-d-xo.html
Very poor judgement there. As title says video explains meaning of terminology not how gold is refined, how pure it can be, why grades are named the way they are. Pay attention.
Karat with a K is gold. Carat with a C is a Diamond.
Horton Farms in purity or weight?
Really enjoyed this video. Entertaining. Keep up the vids
The symbol Au is from the Latin: aurum, the Latin word for "gold".
THANK YOU. Very informative video.
I believe the word you're searching for is Rose. Thank you so much for this information it was very useful.
Thank you for the knowledge bro!!
Copper mix with gold the result is rosegold..750 % gold 20 % copper 5 % platinum..the result is a beautiful rosegold.
Beautiful indeed.
Thank you!
You did a great job explaining this! Thanks I'll move on why watch other vids

Awesome thanks for sharing..

Your accent is gold friend
if i have 870k and i want to make it 880k what is the calculation to increase
Not enough numbers.
Stock is say 5 g of 870k mixed with 1 g of 930k will make 6 g of 880k. Math is (6 x 880) - (5 x 870) = (1 x 930)
Make it easy..18k gold is 18 parts gold,6 parts is another metal forming an (Alloy)with 75% gold..14k gold is 14 parts gold,(10 parts another metal),and so forth..very simple..hmmm
Super
I got a pure gold chain that is literally just foil paper all smushed together
how to define karat and how 24K is pure gold how can we define it
Karat is a fractional measure of purity of gold alloys. The denominator is chosen to be 24, so if the numerator hits the same number, it is 100% gold.
How to make 916 kdm for jointing
Thank u
Nice
thank u
when making 12k gold would it be 1gr for 1gr or 1ml for 1ml
Either
Tqs bro
is it true that, the lower the Karat, the more harder the jewelry get?
To some degree yes but its hardness doesn`t continue to be harder than diamonds. It tops out a lot sooner than that.
good to know. thank you ;]
apprenticemath you can easily bend a 24k gold 😀
Nobody disagrees here with that, question asks for hardness.
Thank you for information...........now i get it what is 24 carat in gold
One more Q did u eat that remain carrot... ??? I feel to eat carrot so i will bought it and eat. Thank you ...........-_-
2 live carrots were mercilessly eaten in the making of the video.
A have a neighbor selling a necklace with pendant 3.7 grams Italy 585..
18 thousand Philippine money..is it worth it???
Possible issues:
Not 3.7 grams
Not Italian
Not 585 gold
Has mercury (toxic on skin)
Was stolen, is from the bank robbery last week in Indonesia.

Nobody said it does`t exist.
Someone told me that they had a .5 karat necklace what does that mean?
Not happening. It's probably 12 kt which means it's 50% gold. It's a good alloy, adding more gold would just make the links in a necklace too soft and open easy, which is not practical.
@@apprenticemath omg they most def scammed me LOL I’m a sucker lol
Sorry to hear that, but thanks for watching! I have maybe ten jewelry videos on this channel, stones, gold, diamond, info for future ref.

Mixed gold and silver make gold look more whitea and shine
you title is misleading because karat is different from carat. karat refers to purity of gold while carat refers to the weight of diamonds.
5:37
I don't believe you. If the "r" is not there, it's not copper...
Ciao 750 di metallo gold per farlo diventare 18 carati che metallo posso mettere
Qualsiasi, argento per esempio
Why is he writing 26 but calling it 26? He did it several times. I don't get that part.
+Lynell Holmes
"Why is he writing 26 but calling it 26?" What else should he call "26" other than 26? But he never said 26 anyway.
Do you mean 24? That is the standard measure; the purest gold is 24 parts. The same way 100cm makes a meter etc.

The closer you are to 24 means the purer your gold is. 22 carat gold is 22 parts pure gold (or fine gold) and 2 parts alloy (i.e. 91.67% gold)

So 94%pure is how many karats?
94 x 24 / 100 = 22.56 karats
What about 48 karat 🤔
a 14 karatowego złota nie znasz? 583 ? Najbardziej popularna próba w wyrobach jubilerskich. Ostatnio modne jest też złoto 8 karat= 333...
My question is what 24 carat gold how will you convert into 18 carte gold
Add silver
10 kt mese 14 kt kese bananeka
Melting it down will separate metals, keep the gold only
but I heard just before you, the 24 carat is never could be possible if somebody says 24 which means lier,,max 22 carat
Sure, go ask the first pawbroker on your way shopping for "supplies", idiot.
Awwww you spoiled the supreeeeeeese

it means 18 k gold - 18 parts of gold
change your pen
1 karat gold = 4.166%
That's Indian policy
That's correct math, 1 / 24 x 100 = 4.166666666
12 inches per foot is the size of king Richards feet....
I want carrot :|
Thx i understand the carrat
You must eat first ...
And I ticked the wrong option in the examination!
poor information, do some proper research before making factual videos...
Poor spelling, manners and punctuation, go to school and have credentials before giving advice.
apprenticemath lmao :-)
Very poor imformation there is no 100% pure gold..the pure gold is 99.95%
Very poor judgement there. As title says video explains meaning of terminology not how gold is refined, how pure it can be, why grades are named the way they are.
Pay attention.
Hahaha just like a brand of soap, it kills 99.99 percent of germs, but it seems to be 100 percent by rounding off it to nearest whole number hahaha..
