The Seaview was a titanium hulled sub sailing the seas in the future 1980's though it was really the mid 60's. I liked this show, Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel, on Saturday mornngs woke up with Bugs Bunny Road Runner, midday Saturday was Johnny Quest, Rat Patrol. Saturday nights if the folks were home, it was Lawrence Welk...lol

@Dreh felix MeTV has; lost in space, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Highway Patrol, the Time Tunnel, among other old shows, check your listings, saw lost in space and Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea this morning, Sunday.
No Rat Patrol though, you can still see the German Commander played by Hans Gudegast on The Young and the Restless as Victor Newman AKA Eric Braeden (Hans changed his name)

Great model. The first season Seaview design is my favorite. It’s interesting that when the movie was in production, the U.S. Navy didn’t allow Irwin Allen and his staff a tour aboard any of the nuclear submarines. So, Irwin Allen, being a fantasist, came up with this boat( which reminds me of something that would be in a Tom Swift book). Seaview was the Cadillac of movie and television submarines. It was big, beautiful, graceful, fast and very powerful.

The Seaview was one of the main reasons why I joined the US Navy submarine service in 1978. My first sub that I went on was a nautilus I took a tour of it in Connecticut. The soap I qualified on was the USS Grayback SS 574. I sure miss those days in those tours.

When I was a kid, I loved all the Irwin Allen shows: Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, but most of all Lost in Space. For a young boy in the UK who was to become an electronics engineer, there was plenty more great sci-fi and action on TV in the 60s, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible!, The Man from UNCLE. Whereas we also had some great British shows also: Stingray, Thunderbirds (the best ever, thank you so much Gerry Anderson RIP!), Captain Scarlet, Timeslip, Doctor Who,

right with you mate! Electronics and Computer Engineering and Physics , and definitely influenced by the great shows from the 1950's and 60's, to include Thunderbirds, but it was Admiral Nelson, Professor Robinson, Tony Newman and Doug, Mr. Spock and Mr. Scott, the movies the Andromena Strain, Fantastic Voyage.. what a time to grow up, and grow up with force fields, lasers, flying submarines, a tunnel that took you back in time. Just inspirational.

Those were the days...straight home from school in the pouring rain barefooted for three kilometres along an unsealed road potholes everywhere...sitting in front of the fire...watching this on TV

I really wanted a Seaview model growing up, but it was always out of my range. I did, however, manage to get the flying sub. The Seaview came in two versions. This one was the double level bridge with the admiral's office above. Or was it below?

Love these old shows. Erwin Allen was the brain child of very forward thinking ideas. I'm sure he would have loved to have tackled A.I. Great scale work, and craftsmanship!
