The spire can definitely be really nice when upgraded. You can have it shatter projectiles into fragments that then do big damage to surrounding enemies - in other words, turning a defensive structure into an offensive one. For the stun laser, the 'stun strength' upgrades are also pretty nice, because when you're at max strength even the big monsters will get stunned by it.
So without fighting, you’re basically mining and crafting? There’s a nice title hidden somewhere in there for a game, but I can’t grasp it. Jokes beside, two runs of automation is fun, but I’m missing the butt-clenching last second reaches of your dome and the clever fighting.
Assessor, Huge, Maze, Orchard, Automation. No Elevator or Teleport!
That should be a fun challenge. ;)

Chris I think the probe is fantastic actually. Get the upgrade that makes the detected spots last longer about 10 minutes and the one that increases range to a little over a full screen size. You won't be sorry

I think the prospecting meter is actually really good; underrated, if only because it finds water like nobody's business.
I make them in Midjourney AI, and yes if you saw the last video, I agree on the prospecting meter big time.

Chris if you look closely there is a water symbol at the octopus lair. It becomes a friend when you bring one there. There are other chambers that activate with other stuff

One way to buff the probe would be to have the blocks that you scan stay scanned forever would be so much more useful

Love watching u play but unless u get the deeper look artifact or whatever its called. where u put the 2 irons in and it lets u see 2 tiles in. going 3 tile u can miss A TON. i think this is what leads to alot of the water shortage.

I think you are sleeping on the probe, i havent gotten around to playing the newest update but probe and lift always felt like the most useful to me. Literally one cheap upgrade into probe and its absolutely amazing.

I assume things despawn thats why you carry them down with you.
...i know I'm beating a dead horse here, choosing a skill tree in advance of the augments without considering the drops into how feasible the skill tree is is the sort of mistake I'd make.
I mean in an fps I can see it because it doesn't matter how steong your build or your ping is, if you do t pull host you're not winning. But here where it's user based, I have a little less sympathy, even though I'd make the exact same mistakes the first few times.

You keep doing this, and it has always bothered me that you drag resources DOWN with you when you're exploring. Just leave them higher up where you found them and grab them on the way up! Never want to take resources deeper. Suboptimal.
I notice it every time I do it too

You should watch Luckless Lovelocks, if you want to be taken to the edge of sanity, regarding gameplay style! Are you Blitz? Am I in need of a psychiatric assessment? Maybe, the crazy does rub off. Domekeeper seems to attract fruits and nuts - case in point. Peace!
