Wow 🤯! I’m level 1. I love learning to play piano 🎹 . Feel like the creative side of my brain 🧠 is coming alive. I’ve always wondered how musicians improvised. This is helpful. Thank you! 😊
Loved this! Can I request that you make a part 2 of this awesome vid and do pretty much the same thing but showing the fingering and crossovers for the left hand? That would be equally awesomeness!! ❤
Jemma, glad to see you as part of Pianote. I have seen your shorts on FB and they always blow me away! You are an awesome improviser and, after watching this video, obviously an awesome teacher as well! Looking forward to more of your lessons!!
Jemma, your teachings on pentatonic scales blew my mind but l was looking for your other piano lectures diversed music genres. I will like you to do tutorial on contemporary piano playing.
Very nice work very insightful. I know you can’t do everything in one video, but I would sure like to see you navigate some of the more difficulties keys, like B major or G flat
Thank you for this lesson. Starting from 5:43 Which is correct: fingering or numbers (pronouncing)? I'm confused? Should I follow to the video (fingering) or audio (numbers)?
Is there a way to please turn off the clicking when the music page turns? Imo, it's annoying and does not seem unnecessary. The vertical red bar is enough imo.
not bad for learning the notes but i wouldn't "practice" like that. this teaches playing scales so people when they solo sound like scales. you should practice groove and different licks etc within those notes. learn the scale for the notes you can play is ok but don't dwell on that, learn licks and learn to breathe within that scale. playing a run or pattern is fine but don't overuse it. you will just sound like scale soloing instead of "singing" soloing. i can almost guaranty she didn't get good learning a scale up and down. i don't think anyone great really learns like this. you have to be able to groove with people and in your own improv. i never understood why people play scales as a warm up either..you literaly warm up by playing so just play some songs then you are warmed up and can play more songs lol
@rjgeigersmusic I agree --- it's true of any scale, Major, minor, Blues, etc, --- learn the notes, and how to finger them up and down a couple of octaves properly, but that's just a starting point! Now use that musically.
Uma pergunta ❓ vc poderia disponibilizar esse lop de bateria e baixo para poder fazer o download. Desde já agradeço. Mais uma vez muito obrigado. Muito top a aula....
Wow this us learning the piano..... I can tell from your comment that you are 2024 Mozart don't you think you should be at the concert or topping billboard charts but the truth is..... If watched the whole video that means you have technic error...... I learned something from this video did you
I'm sorry, but that is only level 1 for Pentatonics. Don't fool younger generations with simplistic approaches. Learning to play phrases by using 'parallel' pentatonic is level 5. If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to Scott Henderson, Kanny Garret, Brad Mehldau, or many many others.
So happy to see JEMMA here!

Excellent class! It helped me correct the way I “pass the fingers” in the pentatonic scale. Very good video

Thank you!

Thank you for the learning
Thank you for making this video.
Just my speed. I'mma gonna practice and level-up.
in karnatic music, This is a raga mohanam, 🤩
I would also add a Bb and B natural into the mix, makes the scale sound even more bluesy and jazzy.
Good morning, your class is amazing, would it be possible for you to make the playback of this follow-up and the pdfs of the classes available???
Great video. Love the progression. L1 and L2 seems within reach, the rest looks like straight witchcraft. But, we'll see what happens with practice.
These are notes of raag bhopali in Indian classical music

@@rioguitarsstudio7886 wahahaha ga fokus bro
Ya i couldn't focus on the scales 😂
Everytime I practice this scale, it always turns into Mandarin song
What about on guitar
Hi,
What is the software do you use to light in red the keys of your keyboard please ?
Best regards

Yujuuuu 😂soy nivel 5 jejeejje
If you are a guitar player, this pentatonic scale sounds cooler on guitar due to string bends, vibrato, legato, slides, harmonics, etc.😢
Hay hello❤❤❤❤❤
נקרע לך המכנס...
That's been a style in America for ages . . .
99% of the world knows this song, how come a musician doesn't know it? I do not understand...
Good job but how about woolly bully
I cant get my fingers to move that fast accurately
Im just focus the mountain, sorry 😊

Yeah, I agree! Let's discourage everyone and make them lose interest on learning!
@@RubenSanchez-kj8uv Oh no! Everyone will lose interest in learning music if they play another pentatonic! Thanks Ruben!
What is even the purpose of this pentatonic scale?
If you want to play Indian music which is in Raag "BHUPALI" then it is important to learn
@@nmusic3186 Thanks.
