I have used a sweat-in service access valve stub and inserted it through a pre-drilled wine cork. Goes straight onto my manifold hoses w/ball valves and I just use whatever gas is in there to blow out drain lines. The benefit of that tool is the cork passes through tee fittings and seals into the 3/4 pipe.
