War Thunder is a highly detailed vehicle combat game containing over 2000 playable tanks, aircrafts and ships spanning over 100 years of development. Immerse yourself completely in dynamic battles with an unparalleled combination of realism and approachability.
There are actually multiple big games that got VR spin offs that nobody remembers. From Bethesda games like Doom, or Wolfenstein or Call of Duty or even Assassin's Creed, there is no shortage of forgotten VR games.

Fallout NV shares a timeline with all the otherfallout games, its cannon
I've never heard Wolfenstein: Youngblood described as "really awesome" before lol
I really want to see Halo done in official VR games more than Halo Recruit. Fighting the Flood would absolutely terrifying. Luckily I think I remember seeing a game or mod that had exactly that and I loved watching it.
Oh man the Gravemind right in my face at 3am would scare the shit outta me
Imagine ripping up infection forms with your own hands 😢
I wish there would be because I would love hearing elites say wort wort right in front of me
So, you kind of can fight the flood in VR already. Pavlov, the VR Shooter, had a modded map where you fight the flood in the style of COD ZOMBIES in VR on the streets of new mobasa (the city from ODST.)
It’s a Pavlov map however on the mod makers discord server we are all a lot more interested in seeing him develop his own game since Pavlov got ruined by its developers and most maps (including halo flood) are barely playable anymore or not at all
I don’t know if this happens for everyone but I think as a general rule the more you use VR the less motion sickness you get. I used to get motion sickness with in 15mins of putting the headset. Now I only get motion sickness after multiple hours and I don’t even play that long so it doesn’t affect me. Don’t let it scare you away VR is very fun
2 Hour experiences makes sense in VR vs like a normal game. Having a headset on for like a hour weighs on most people. And having the games much longer, apart from the hardcore crowd, most people would experience a lot of fatigue.
But a lot of the 2 hour type experiences are earlier VR titles.
oh and btw, developing a vr game is way harder and more expensive than developing a flat game; so to keep expenses low, they make them shorter.
Fallout New Vegas doesn’t take place in its own universe???? It’s literally on the Fallout timeline
You should try vr. You probably will get motion sick for the first week of trying, but getting your vr legs is like learning how to ride a bike. One day you put on your headset and suddenly you just don't get sick any more. Like your brain just clicks and understands vr. It doesn't take too long.
your vr vids are my fave hope you do more of those
@@aliatef7203 I'll make one every once in a while but I can't justify making many as they don't get views.
thats just the state of vr these days but im sure mass adoption is coming, as a VR dev i have to believe that lol hope u get to play my game if i ever release it 🙏@@Jarekthegamingdragon
I remember all of these and I can't stress enough how much better VR visuals look in the headset. VR flat screen capture is always cropped, zoomed in and in half rez because you are only getting one eye. The Problem with some of these VR games is the fact that AAA publishers half ass anything to jump on a trend. They play it too safe...most were short "vR ExPeRiEnCeS" because they just used it to promote a brand, or treated it like something that would be in an amusement park (2016 Ghostbusters I'm looking at you). There's some great VR only IPs that have great full campaigns. Bethesdas VR games were unoptimized piles of crap, very unsupported. If you want good VR games don't look at triple a developers. There's an emulator for PC and The Metal Quest that emulates Virtual Boy.
Half-Life Alyx and the Half-Life series, Vertigo 1/2, Arizona Sunshine 1/2, Boneworks, Bonelab, Blade and Sorcery, Espire 1/2, Hellblade, Moss, Pixel RIpped, Sairento, Hellsweeper, Stride, Until you Fall, Contractors, Saints and Sinners, Gunheart, Ark & Ade, Underdogs, Swarm, Hubris, Propagation, The Light Brigade, Warhammer Battle Sister and Tempestfall, Pistol Whip, Red Matter, Fracked, After the fall....I could go on and on but THESE are the games you want in VR...don't name chase the triple A publishers.
But I feel you guys should have played the games in vr in order to actually offer a real opinion on them...but to be honest I'm glad you didn't because PCVR can be a trouble shooting nightmare no matter what headset you have and might have drove your opinion lower lol. My point is though try more better non triple A games and start off on PSVR or Quest2/3 for the best games and easiest entry. Then when you feel comfortable move to PCVR. But being in headset is soo much different than what can be seen on a flat capture.
Nintendo cared about VR for at least 4 days.
Regarding those vr game prices being $30 for a 2 hour game. It’s completely understandable when you consider how small the VR market is, let alone a subset being the PSVR market. Higher price is the only way studios can recover the cost of development.
I highly recommend actually playing the games in VR, it is nearly impossible to describe the difference of playing VR games and viewing vr games, but it can really be night and day. Also PSVR (at least the first one), is not the best reference for how VR games can look (for example the PSVR 1 resolution per eye was I believe 960 x 1080, where as the quest 3 sits at 2064x2208 per eye), I'm almost certain the PSVR 2 is a massive improvement, but has a limited library. I do however understand that most of these games did primarily release on PS4, but VR is definitely worth actually trying first hand, especially with options such as the quest 2 being available for so cheap.
Quest 2 which resolution has?
@@speedclips_858 Natively without a PC it runs 1832 x 1920 per eye , You aren't getting much higher on PC with the official software using link because the optimization is so bad. but if you use it on PC through an app called virtual desktop on a beefy pc, it goes upto 5408 x 2736
@@speedclips_858 1832x1920
a friend of mine bought a Playstation VR, i made sure i borrowed it just to play Resident Evil 7.... it really is an amazing way to experience the game
Bro just described a story where nearly everyone dies as "goofy"
it’s just a polite way of calling it bad
the only thing they had to do to make cities skylines VR a hit, was to make a dlc where you can walk around youre city in first person VR mode.
In Star Wars Battlefront 2015 there was a Rogue One themed X-Wing mission that was entirely within VR. Ngl I loved it at the time. It was short but fun!
Dude I was laughin' my ASS off at that Nintendo VR segment. lol Hands down the hardest I've ever laughed at this channel. This was a great episode.
The only VR game that really hits the spot and provides a true virtual reality experience is Blade and Sorcery. Most VR games are stuck in 2013- just boring floating hands puzzle games or floating hands one-handed-guns-only shooters that are just 10-minute-long wii games but with better motion detection
So this entire video is just them saying what they've heard other people say but haven't actually played the games themselves. Wow.
Basically all this shitheap of a channel is, it's mindboggling
Horizon Call of the Mountain is awesome. It does have a lot of climbing but things get interesting as you unlock more tools.
Sniping in VR is hell, and a CoD ghillie mission wouldn't be the best. To put it simply when you're aiming down the scope, and magnifying any tiny movement to the front or back controllers will result in a big change in the scoped area.
Microsoft gave up on VR when Facebook bought it. Microsoft was actually a huge supporter to the point they added Oculus drivers built into windows updates
Bonus Fact: Design lab, THAT design lab, were the designers for the OG Rift controllers. Thats why they felt so much better than the new controllers Oculus uses.
Then why can you play Xbox Gamepass games on the Quest
Btw Metro VR is coming too, but there's no release date
Star Wars squadrons was a lot of fun, just didn’t have follow-up content to keep the game alive
Fun fact I worked with the guy who started implementing vr into alien isolation. He wanted to finish it off and was really happy modders got round to doing it.
Star Wars battlefront X-Wing VR mission is still my favorite VR experience.
Halo, call of duty, titanfall, Star wars battlefront all in VR thanks to mods in Contractors
Vr chat is a beautiful nightmare you never know what you will get i had such a great time during lockdown vr chat raves are amazing
love your videos dude! Especially love that you two chat at the end, makes it feel podcasty
Its difficult to review experiences without actually "experiencing" them. Play quality is a big thing and even if a VR experience looks good, it can be absolute garbage if it makes people motion sick.
I wish there were more VR games so bad, Once you play a good VR game its hard to go back to regular gaming. you guys should just bite the bullet and try some of the top VR games out. I'd love to see more VR coverage on the channel
My buddy has the PSVR, so I played both EVE Valkyrie and Star Wars Squadrons. I love dogfighting games like that, but I can understand why the player base fell off. I’d much rather have a 3rd person view like Battlefront 2, or something like Ace Combat 7. I have so much time in Ace Combat.
However I appreciate the novelty of the VR perspective.
I think it would have hit a little differently if Luke covered the Wolfenstein segment xD I would have actually enjoyed that.
A big problem with this video is you really cant actually get a feel for what the experiences these games have to offer are without actually playing the games yourself.
I really didn’t like onslaught, but Saints and centers and it sequel is really good. I had a fun time with those.
I don't think Horizon Call of the Mountain is a forgotten game, since they're still selling it in PSVR2 bundles.
I really liked the Vader immortal game. Kinda just my dream game
when she warring on my thunder i go on that rocket and go sloth mode
VR is over 8 years old and barely mentioned nowadays too. Also the thing about VR is that the games can't be complicated. You can't really make complicated mechanics since you know we are normal humans and we can't do things that video game characters do. Plus it is expensive and tires you easily.
2024 is gonna be stacked with VR games, especially in the indie scene
ITR2 is highest on my wishlist but we even got an official metro VR game this year
It’s really flourishing rn, the indie VR titles on my wishlist just keep increasing
And 2024 is also gonna bring big updates for games I already own, can’t wait for v1.0 to B&S
The games in this video are just the surface level of VR, the real stuff is with the indies
Don't think I didn't notice the slow tempo through the fire in the flames in the background
The vr jackal I play every now and then again. Honestly it's fucking great. I wish they had made a game. I would have fully paid full price for it.
VR nausea can be fixed by changing movement settings.
I never owned a VR headset, and was always curious about Psychonauts: Rhombus of Ruin. I literally have zero idea about what goes on in it besides that it takes place between the first and the second game.
someone please correct me if i’m wrong but i’m pretty sure fallout: new vegas is the same timeline as the rest of the games 10:07
it is the same timeline
That COD: Infinite Warfare Jackal Assault footage reminded me so much of "Long Night of Solace" from Reach, it isn't funny.
New Vegas isn't in its own timeline, it's a part of the regular Fallout series...no matter how much they try to ignore it.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who actually *liked* Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
...is it just the player, or is the player character in Horizon VR left handed? That's something you surprisingly don't see in games that often...
they haven't really ignored it though. there are multiply references to it in 4, and they've put a bunch new vegas inspired content on the creation store.
I think a cod in VR would be cool.
And Jesus wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer.
maybe you should consider using a VR headset before making a video about it lol
agreed lol, I wouldn't make a video analyzing a whole bunch of games that I never even tried to play
If you ever need some footage of some games in VR, I have an index and would be able to record my playthrough of some short games for you :D
I used to have Doom VFR and it was such a disappointment, it was very hard to play especially on PSVR and I just ended up selling it after playing it twice
Did you try Doom 3 VR?
@@speedclips_858 no
I genuinely need to know why folks hate Infinite Warfare. Campaign and story were brilliant
Just came out at the wrong time. Shame.
But IW and BF1 in the same Year was a TREAT for FPS Campaigns
@@applehazeva2739don’t forget Titianfall 2
I remember the Wolfenstein one
Soo what reputation does the horizon series have?
You should really try some of the vr games firsthand. I was a big fan of rigs. I got it when it was out for 2 years. I knew that it was known to give motion sickness. But after playing it I loved it and played it for 3 hrs straight. It's a bit of sensory overload at first but after an hour u will be sold. Stop being scared!😂
A new halo vr is coming! And it's all about the flood.
Thank you so much 🌼😄
I got vr for half life Alyx I was fine with only trying it, but Half Life Alyx and old Pavlov sold me like 5 years ago
The Forest VR
It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on "Syphon Filter Dark Mirror and Syphon Logans Shadow" for PSP
Also banger video and subbed🔥
Weren't there 3 wolfenstein games in this new saga? I remember playing 3 lol
Vader immortal was fun
Vr is just so under baked, and stupid expensive, and there's just nothing good on it
Halo vr thing was made by wolf kill, that’s why it feels pointless
Wow, it is clearly evident that you really have never played ANY games in an actual VR headset. Still entertaining content that kept me engaged the whole video though.
Hell, with how wrong they get 99% of the info on normal games like the whole "New Vegas takes place in another universe" comment i doubt they even play videogames at all.
The guy favourite series is a fucking MOVIE GAME
The AC stuff looks interesting and like it could be a good time, but the footage feels like it was shot in 4:3 and then scaled to wide-screen and I hope the game isn't like that
that's a recording of one eye, in the game you have 2 eyes. But there is a way of tweaking with the dev software and bumping up the recording FOV. The issue is, most youtubers are too stupid to press a few buttons (not directly calling shade on rocketsloth, they just used footage from other sources)
for VR games that are both licenced and not heavily stylised, $30 for 2-3 hours is very normal purely because of how hard they are to program.
I mean I don't know what you expected with Horizon call of the mountain what do you expect for it to be a game without climbing it's literally called Call of the mountain Bastille even then I think it has too much climbing
Saints and sinners 1 was great. The second game kinda sucked because of how broken amd buggy it was for months.
Also medal of honor had a vr game, and while i perfer rising sun, its still a good medal of honor game
VR is kinda lame. It's cool in concept, but all the games are gimmicky. I bought into VR in the early days, and once the initial "cool factor" wore off, i realized how niche and ultimately boring it is. I'd much rather play with a standard controller on a big screen.
Does anyone know what is Luke’s accent? Still unable to figure it out.
I think it’s German
If Rocket Sloth has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Rocket Sloth has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Rocket Sloth has only one fan then that is me. If Rocket Sloth has no fans, then that means I am dead. If the world is against Rocket Sloth, then I am against the world.
Are your videos being deleted?
?
@@FloofDog I had like three of there videos on my watch later twice and both times I’ve had some of those videos deleted.
"watch 2 dudes talk about shit they have 0 experienceas if they were experts"
This fucking sucks holy shit
agreed its like if I decided to make a video analyzing a whole bunch of lacrosse matches after never touching the sport before lmao
2024 and you STILL don't have VR?
IF THIS DOESNT GET A THOUSAND LIKES I WILL EAT MY DOG AND REMOVE THE ARBITER FROM CANON VIA TIME MACHINE
Were it so easy.
