I can hear the howl from you guys missing the setup on the rear gears. To make things easier you should take your old pinion bearing and enlarge the center (the part you press onto the pinion) with sand paper. So you can slip it onto the pinion without the press. Use that bearing to setup your gears. Once you are happy with the markings on the paint you can press your new bearing onto the newly discovered shim pack. Old rear end guy trick is to turn an old press fit bearing into a slip fit for setup purposes only.
Its crazy how far technology has come my 2013 2.0t genesis coupe stock turbo full bolt on and dyno tuned runs 13.2 @ 106 mph. The new 5.0s are no joke now.
😂😂😅😅 right?! -2°?! My 2021 mustang gt would LOVE that area. From the day Temps which are about 80ish to at night in the mid 60s is such a huge difference I couldn't imagine how it would respond to -2 zero
I have an 05 sonic blue convertible black top automatic. just did the bushings, thank you for all your videos. you'll get in the 13s easy, track conditions sucked. going to do the timing chain guides and tensioners.. much easier than a Lincoln navigator. then an aluminum driveshaft, 39lbs vs 19.. and a tuner.
Damn this is just the best TH-cam car channel period!!!! I draw a lot of inspiration for these guys' builds. PT's technical OCD and Dave's driving skills make these bros a perfect duo! Subscribers make sure you hit the bell icon next to the subscribe button. If you don't, youtube might hide videos from you even if you are subscribed. Its part of TH-cam's new algorithm.
love you guys subscribed on the first EP of yours i watched it was one of the first FRS vids from 2 years ago now iv been watching u guys grow sense 1000 subs i had to show some canadian love all the way from Sask. love u guys keep up to amazing vids
Wow i would have expected a much lower time. Although from the looks of the video track conditions didn't look to be the best. Anyways great video guys!
I'm really gonna hope that it all comes back to the high millage of this car, and the super coldness. Becuase I have a 2005 V6 mustang that rocking boltons, 3.73's, LSD, and a good tune and minus some driver error I can run 13.9's all day.... so I'm gonna give it to the oldness and the coldness as to the slow time.. Good build though, can't wait to see the end result!!!
hey guys would be nice to blend in a chart after a round with a new car/parts so we can see the timings of all the other cars in comparison (s2000, s14, rx7......). since most of the cars you test is in toronto motorsports park. like top gear does.
Those tyres look awesome! Can't wait for some data. Do a before and after on the diet if you can. I don't think there's going to be a huge difference dropping 100kg in a high torque car.
Did you guys put a tune on that car yet? I didnt notice it mentioned in any of the bolt on episodes... if you didnt you might want to look into it, I bet you will pick up a surprising amount of power.
Dayum whats the thing running the track at 9:30? :D And nice to see everything works for you guys. May be the fastest Mustang with this mileage on it on planet^^
Good build guys and putting some mods to the track, could it be possible that the gear chatter you guys are having is due to the leaking of the diff oil?
Can I ask how you get access to a track for tuning, swapping tires etc? I have only taken part in HPDEs where you just run in your structured group. It seems like it would be more fun to dial in your car and to build speed as you gain confidence, than just being thrown into the deep-end like a normal track day.
the 92-93. mustang GT 5.0s With just a full exhaust system and a computer Chip I was running high 12 second passes and my friend was running low 13 second passes on the saying set up
What's impressive is that the Ford Racing team and their pro drivers got a 14.6 on a bone stock S197. Now I'm sure they were on a perfect track on a perfect day at the best track location for better air plus better tires.. I think they did it in 07 not on the original 05 model, but you can Google it, a stock 4.6 S197 is supposed to run a 14.6 at like 107 I assume guys go slower with light mods because of traction loss, and they're just not dedicated professionals.
I'm thinking, since you're doing most of your testing on this track, could you make a little list of the best times of each of your cars? I'm really curious how they compare
I have gone through two sets of the r888r. I found that they like more hot pressure than other r compound tires. What kind of pressure are you guys running?
I have an 06 GT. I put 4.33s in the rear, drag pack wheels and MT radials, hollowed cats and full 3" straight pipe with 4" tips. Runs a constant 12.90s no tune, no intake, no headers..nothing else.
I got 13.5 At Saudi Arabia Dirab drag , I just have intake afe head and k&g tube with x pipe and cutting the 8 cylinders under main intake Manifold and 325 rear tires slicks and 3.73 gears .. SLR Riyadh program😅 no cams no anything
You think you're cold Try -10F I believe that's -23c Also are you guys going to boost this thing? But come spring you'll definitely be going faster you should definitely be into 13s I also kinda feel like a 6 speed auto in this car with a few mods to it would be going faster but that's just me
Dave is driving hard without a proper harness, shaking in seat and struggles to hold the steering wheel, so you can shave another second with omp/sparco/recaro seat and belts, time attacking in stock seat and belt is good for constipation treatment, but bad for perfomance results.
I can hear the howl from you guys missing the setup on the rear gears. I like what you did with the track map, timer, speed and shit. Really Nice guys! Greetings from Quebec!
that save @ 11:10
Imm PNB a nice unintentional drift
Not bad considering the altitude. Launch and shifting was on point. Cant wait to see more from this 3v.
With that trap speed you should be able to get it into the lower 13's with a good launch.
Its crazy how far technology has come my 2013 2.0t genesis coupe stock turbo full bolt on and dyno tuned runs 13.2 @ 106 mph. The new 5.0s are no joke now.
Congrats on 100K! Also was nice meeting you guys at the track! i was the guy in the White Subaru type R
100K subs... you guys are climbing fast with all the new content
That's the original cold-air intake. You just go to Canada. +15hp.
😂😂😅😅 right?! -2°?! My 2021 mustang gt would LOVE that area. From the day Temps which are about 80ish to at night in the mid 60s is such a huge difference I couldn't imagine how it would respond to -2 zero
Man I love watching you guys wheel the shit outta these cars.
LOVE the tracking birdseye and speed indicator top left :) vroom vroom
Nice one fellas . Great fun thats for sure
Nothing quite like a bit of fluid on the rear at turn in to wake you up!

I love that engine sound.
dam those new wheels are nice !!!!!! RAYS always got the look and performance on lock I need me some of those !!!!
Working that wheel bud nice driving
love you guys subscribed on the first EP of yours i watched it was one of the first FRS vids from 2 years ago now iv been watching u guys grow sense 1000 subs i had to show some canadian love all the way from Sask. love u guys keep up to amazing vids
Thanks so much and stay warm this winter :)
100k subscribers!!! Congrats. You guys deserve even more subs!
You guys have done an awesome job on that mustang!
you should look into one of those mounts that goes on the the headrest rails. super nice view for track recording
you guys are awsome drivers.
Wow i would have expected a much lower time. Although from the looks of the video track conditions didn't look to be the best. Anyways great video guys!
Gratz on the 100K !! Love this channel, keep it up!
3rd launch was the money. drop tire pressures..... buy drag slicks and you'll also be good to go.
But that 3rd launch was so good. Good work.
My stock '68 charger 383 with 727 ran, 14.0 @ 100mph
Vintage big iron car. With an auto and warmer Temps. The 4.6 is 281 Cid I think it does fine
Loving the street/strip combo build... Looking to grab myself a 99-04 Stang for the same purpose, hopefully I'll see you guys at TMP in the spring!
Awesome Ep. guys! Keep it up
I'm really gonna hope that it all comes back to the high millage of this car, and the super coldness. Really love this series guys, wanna see you strip some weight out of that thing though!
100K!!! Woop Woop!!
100k subscribers, congrats! :)
Over the winter I would do cams intake maybe better heads or head porting
Those tyres look awesome! Can't wait for some data.
Do a before and after on the diet if you can. I don't think there's going to be a huge difference dropping 100kg in a high torque car.
Gotta say, I'm not usually a mustang guy but I really like what you've done with it! Not much of a mullet mustang anymore though lol
We love it too! Its a car that has seriously grown on us!
Nice video! Interested to hear how you guys like the new R888-R's - I was thinking about using them next track season.
Did you guys put a tune on that car yet? I didnt notice it mentioned in any of the bolt on episodes... if you didnt you might want to look into it, I bet you will pick up a surprising amount of power.
MrBobjacobson all they did was a new muffler and intake might pick up 5 to 10 with a tune
Can you guys post the lap times of the project cars? or do a video on it. would be cool to compare the cars. keep up the good work.
Did the oil leak induce the rear brake lock up at the beginning?
Dayum whats the thing running the track at 9:30? :D
And nice to see everything works for you guys. May be the fastest Mustang with this mileage on it on planet^^
Good build guys and putting some mods to the track, could it be possible that the gear chatter you guys are having is due to the leaking of the diff oil?
i love the effort you guys put into these videos, it really shows passion.
did you say that this was filmed in october?
dunno how the g-meter is accurate but it is pretty impressive to see 1G on braking AND cornering for a mustang 👌
what about the oil cooler guys? you mentioned heat soak in the first or second video, I'm interested in the results of that
send them tires my way, ill test them here in texas!
alfred rodriguez then pass em here I'm in TX too lol
What equipment is that you're using for data acquisition? really liked the setup, especially with the track map as well.
trick flow get these guys a top end kit stat
thomas hixson I'll take one also. Lol. But 2v.
Tf you mean "can" it make 13's with Bolton's? I ran a 13.6 in a stock one
Maybe because of the altitude
Different air ratio just like Colorado has a different air ratio then Texas
Can I ask how you get access to a track for tuning, swapping tires etc? I have only taken part in HPDEs where you just run in your structured group. It seems like it would be more fun to dial in your car and to build speed as you gain confidence, than just being thrown into the deep-end like a normal track day.
Awesome videos. This gave me insight on whether I should tackle my Mustang or Camaro first. Definitely Camaro first.
I wish you would have tried the Toyos on the strip.
Looks like u need a more supportive seat Dave! I was holding on for dear life with u on the corners 👍🏼
the 92-93. mustang GT 5.0s With just a full exhaust system and a computer Chip I was running high 12 second passes and my friend was running low 13 second passes on the saying set up
Mine ran a flat 12 with bolt ons 410s and slicks.
Congrats on 100k subs :D
At 4:38 the sky made your helmet look like cowboy hat
damn it hasnt snowed yet in tdot yet?! it's cold af in YEG
And disconnect those from stabilizer links already lol. No weight transfer :-(
you guys should list the mod pricing like you did on the s2000 videos
The short road course you guys running on is how long? I can why you're using the 4.10 gears.
What's impressive is that the Ford Racing team and their pro drivers got a 14.6 on a bone stock S197. Now I'm sure they were on a perfect track on a perfect day at the best track location for better air plus better tires.. I got unsubscribed form the Chanel by stupid TH-cam....... love you guys. Greetings from the netherlands
If you guys replace the shifter, the Hurst looks great and the MGW looks sooo good.
how about that coast side hum lol
This car runs 13s stock? Is it because the altitude? Intake tune gears exhaust and a tire you should be in the 12s?
ponypwr if the track was warmer and had proper prep I think they'd be closer to that.
I ran a 14.0 in my 2002 mustang gt and it was completely stock. With 4.10 and few bolt ons it is now a 13.2 spinning 1 and 2 and into 3 barely
damn you guys filmed this in October?
you need a TUNE . the AF ratios with are probably off with intake and exhaust .
When you do mow the lawn, you've gotta do it with a clear head.
100k whoop whoop!
Sounds great! makes me want to buy a mustang track car!
It's a pretty rad ride for the money!
I have gone through two sets of the r888r. I found that they like more hot pressure than other r compound tires. What kind of pressure are you guys running?
No i'm no Ford guy but don't these GTs run 13s stock? Or is that only in America and they have a different setup in Canada?
I have an 06 GT. I put 4.33s in the rear, drag pack wheels and MT radials, hollowed cats and full 3" straight pipe with 4" tips. Runs a constant 12.90s no tune, no intake, no headers..nothing else.
Are we shooting for GT350R lap times?
Is the timer supposed to be starting at 1 instead of 0? Don't know much about timed laps but just wondering
Whats a good price to pay for one of these S197's? I see most of them from 15-22k an I personally think it's a little high on most of em.
You should try some Nankang AR-1. Apparently are half the price, same performance!
Would like to hear more about these tires as well. Not sure if they're available in CAN or USA yet
You should replace the front seats with some proper seats, gut the rear and install a half cage. That would seriously improve the interior.
I got 13.5 At Saudi Arabia Dirab drag , I just have intake afe head and k&g tube with x pipe and cutting the 8 cylinders under main intake Manifold and 325 rear tires slicks and 3.73 gears .. SLR Riyadh program😅 no cams no anything
i want to see the new r888r put up against the nt01r
You guys rock :)
Why didnt you use the r888r for the drag test?
"mow the lawn" hahaha thats great
You think you're cold
Try -10F
I believe that's -23c
Also are you guys going to boost this thing?
But come spring you'll definitely be going faster you should definitely be into 13s
I also kinda feel like a 6 speed auto in this car with a few mods to it would be going faster but that's just me
I would recommend you guys put on the 2011 to 14 steering wheel it made my car a lot easier to handle
Holy Raptor Jesus that interior is hideous.
Power is spot on gents!
I think it's okay. I like the red seats
I think it's okay. I like the red seats.
Can you imagine if this was filmed on december 19 , instead of published on december 19 .
Good save at around 11.20
Dave is driving hard without a proper harness, shaking in seat and struggles to hold the steering wheel, so you can shave another second with omp/sparco/recaro seat and belts, time attacking in stock seat and belt is good for constipation treatment, but bad for perfomance results.
Congratulations on hitting 100k!
u can get a low 13 with a proper launch and basically at 106 to 110 u can get the 12s
Dont these things run high 13’s stock?
Install 2way adjustible coilovers and you will launch even with wheelie if you adjust it correctly
will you take the interior out ?
Tires don't warm on cold days, and you almost ate that cement wall. Hosers.
Woohoo 100k
