Very impressive. This company looks like they invest a tremendous amount into their infrastructure, employees, training and vehicles.

Nice overview of not only what a dispatcher's job entails, but also how your company runs.

I’m a Transit Dispatcher! I use a handheld radio, base radios, two computer monitors, multi-line phones and answer customers questions at the window! Resolve driver issues constantly! It’s multitasking at a whole new level. Also deal with our on site security officer and local PD/911 dispatchers!

It's definitely a tough job that requires you to do a dozen things at once!

They’re basically a private police force. I’m in love. They have serious funding and seem better prepared than police.
We definitely need a “private police” option. I feel like there’s ways to give them enhanced authority without making them fully fledged LEOs.
Special conservator of the peace? Limited but enhanced powers on the property/ neighborhoods they manage?

Thank you! There is certainly a growing need for more private-public partnerships when it comes to public safety and we're doing everything we can to meet those needs with a professional and well-trained staff! As for funding - we're just a private company that is solely funded by our clients and from the growth we've experienced due to our services provided with an ownership that believes more in putting the money back into the company than into their own pockets. If more companies did that instead of what tends to be the case with corporations, perhaps they, too, may be more similar to us. Thanks again for your support!

I’m starting my own security company on the East Coast and found that you guys have a similar mindset to my own. I’d love to know what radio system you all use and how affordable it is for you.

    • @Denver-metro-protective

Thanks for following along with us! We utilize Motorola products (XPR7550 for handheld and XPR5550e for base units) on our own trunked system, with each dispatch station running Motorola Command Center software on it to operate the radios on computer. We currently own eight repeaters around the state that tie into our Dispatch Center at HQ. Overall, we've invested around $100k into our radio system.

I could only imagine she’s certified to carry and we live in a world where the unthinkable or unpredictable happens. Never know where a mass shooting can take place.

We allow open carry for our personnel in the office and many of the Dispatch Specialists chose to do so.
