I also would like to share a tip. When I put in the shank because the steel does not bond well with leather. Eventually over time it's possible the shank will move out of place. I wrap mine when I use one. With packing tap. It works great when bonding to leather with rubber cement.
Looking good brother. Might consider spraying a wack of water into the heel area with the hirschkleber, gives you an extra 30-60 minutes of wiggle time to shape and hammer it just the way you like. Great progress! -Ryan from virtus leather
