So,, The SHERP is the ultimate All Terrain vehicle, Very simple&VERY reliable in any conditions.. And the Fat Truck is a Knock off for Construction sites etc
This is a corporate work version of a Sherp to me. It's not meant to travel long distances, but to carry people to remote sights. I don't think they will sell many of these to private owners, it's for another market entirely. I think most of these will be rented for drill sights and things like that. I don't consider this a "knock-off", more like something changed for a specific market in Canada and Alaska.

I've been in a Sherp. If you have the means and you like going through bogs and swamps its worth it. Its also surprising fun to fish and swim off of. But yeah it is expensive. Ouch
It's good to have competition, but I personally would rather get a SHERP for a couple of reasons. First the entrance on the front being single and not split could make getting in and out in water more risky. Second the SHERP can put additional fuel in the wheels extending its range. And third the water speed is faster on a Sherp, for those of us that would us it in that environment a lot. I do see some positives in this Fat Truck design, it just could use a little more refinement methinks.

@@twizl4 do you think Ford should sue chevy, LG should sue Samsung, Peterbilt sue Max trucks, Wal-Mart sue Target? Like I said big tires and a short wheel base are not unique. It’s a good thing, yes it’s similar but so is everything else that’s sold. The magic that makes the world go round.
@@petermello55 that’s not the same thing, TVs and vehicles often have similar form factors, but you want me to believe that they just stumbled upon this design AND put sherp in the title. Quit acting like this isn’t infringement. Your the fanboy here. Anybody who can see past their nose can realize this is clearly a copy.
They stole the sherps whole design and concept
YES!!! I would Love to see a comparison between the Sherp, This, and a Shaaman the 8 wheeled Russian made unit. Now THAT Would Be Cool.
I'll bring the rope so I can pull everyone else out when THEY get stuck...
Avtoros Shaman
8x8 will drag both of these sherp and fat truck away 😂
@@briangreen8887 So can I bring the 10 x 10 Sherp Ark then? Ha!
Sherp USA Dealer
You can bring your attachment or trailer because a sherp is not road leagal the thing is slow by the time you bring it I be gone with the shaman hunting rescue etc.
it's got the suspension and amphibious it's just better
The sherp with the trailer is not manoeuvrable but the shaman is because it's a complete package.
The shaman avotoros
8x8 70mph road legal beats the sherp fat truck and not destructive to the environment. Compare tires design the shaman is friendlier to the environment that's why the Russian design it for.
@@briangreen8887 Too bad Shaman hasn't figured out how to import into the USA. Figure that out, buy one for over twice the cost of a Sherp, figure out how to license it without a title, bring it to our track and I'll bring the rope to pull you out of the first swamp you try. I love Shaman, I've tried to figure out how to import them, but the fact remains, they are not as off road capable as a Sherp.
It's like Sherp is a Sierra and "fat truck" is a Silverado.
Totttttttally different vehicle.
cpt awesome different in name same in function
That is sherp vihecles.
Basicly the Fat truck is a Less reliable and Less capable copy of a sherp
Angelica Dela cruz tf is a “vihecle”
@cpt awesome how is sierra different from silverado when both are made by the same company under one roof in indiana?....as for the fat truck while its canadian it still is a copy/paste and a little photoshop of the sherp...ride safe amigo
Hydrostatic drive? So basically "hey, you know that Sherp thing? Let's add more points of failure and systems that can't be fixed remote areas"
Did they buy right to the pattern or are they going to be getting a lawsuit in the near future?
These vehicles are adorable and hilarious, in a good way.
I don’t know about the new Sherp but the previous model sells for $110 USD and is powered by a far more reliable Kubota turbo diesel and Kubota hydraulics. Caterpillar isn’t what it was years ago.
Sherp lawsuit against the copycats in 5....4...3....2...
I hope so.
Nah, this is so complicatedly mechanically different, it wont get past the first lawsuit. Anyone that buys one of these without comparing it to the details of a Sherp is neither a Prepper, Survivalist or Enthusiast.
@@bruceleealmighty yes while the fat truck uses joystick electric over hydraulic/hydrostatic Drive and the Sherp uses a manual transmission with brake calipers and roller chain drive. 90% of John Q. Public isn’t going to know that, or know that these are different brands all together and a good lawyer only needs to point out that both Riggs look almost identical, meaning fat truck is trying to use Sherp’s name/looks Recognition to their benefit. As pointed out by almost everyone who’s know seen a fat truck on TH-cam has pointed out it’s Obvious copy of a Sherp with some minor changes to the overall functionality of the vehicle.
Dam it I should have been a lawyer!
@@adamhensel4877 Actually and in some minor cases unfortunately the shape is of little consequence when it comes to litigation. There are several vehicles that are in most cases conceptually more similar to Sherp than Fat Truck. All will not find litigation possibilities by way of Sherp or it's owners. Sherp did not patent concept or shape, it merely registered its configuration as the concept and shape is open by way of Russian government trials. This is the same commissioning that has been done through Russian hierarchy even when it was the CCCP (USSR). Nah, nothing is going to happen here. In the world of patents and concept interpretations are abundant. Again, these vehicles have little similarity other than superficially and virtually cosmetic.
@@bruceleealmighty while I don’t know what patients they have on concept or shape or design. What they would have working for them is Icon infringement, that’s where I would see the lawsuit coming up. But I’m also talking about the U.S. where lawsuits are breakfast affairs. And if this is even applicable in the U.S. because Sherp is Ukraine and Fat Truck is Canadian. I’m sure someone will try and make a buck there though, weather is has to go to a world court or can be settled in another country would be interesting to know.
Lets be clear. The copied the Russians Sherp!! Just because you make something larger doesn't mean its not a copy!
Stole sherps design . see you in court.
To bad there is no concept of copyright law in Ukraine/Russia
@@userasdf1546 you r wrong
What this needs is front and rear hydraulic PTO connections. The ability to connect a stern drive for water propulsion up to 5-7 mph would be awesome.
They should make a camper/motorhome edition, about twice as long with 6 tires.
Or you could get a Sherp The ark
You should look up Trekol. It's not nearly as hardcore all terrain as the sheep but it beats most vehicles and it has a lot more cargo and is road legal with a much higher speed.
I want to be clear. I criticize and am downright mean about the trucks, but you guys do a great review show. Thank you.
#TeamSherp here! ⚡️ 💡
I agree.
If I win the lotto, I'll be getting something like this, probably the new Sherp, and setting it up as a camper - and then you'll never hear from me again.
My aunt Myrtle was amphibious, could smoke with either hand!👍 YES WE WANT MORE, TH-cam TFL Truck crack for petrol heads!!!not sure why $127,000 sounds better than $9,000 a month? Would love just once to arrive at Church Sunday morning in this!!!
Does seem a little pricey for renting it . In a year and half you could own one .
This is the type of thing I don’t need but I want so much!
Don't call it a Sherp!! Call it a COPY SHERP!
REALL SHERP ... AND SOME OF performance th-cam.com/video/254XVudQg0M/w-d-xo.html This new thing is playing in sand box :-)
It's a "Sherplicate"
As a retired Firefighter, I can see HUGE potential in this vehicle.
SHERP! rip off....
Just a very bad one. Steering prone to breakdown. Engine and drivetrain not easily user repairable.
imitation is the most sincere form of flattery!!!
Love this Sherp Clone!!!
So,, The SHERP is the ultimate All Terrain vehicle, Very simple&VERY reliable in any conditions.. And the Fat Truck is a Knock off for Construction sites etc
Do the worlds toughest towing test with it 😂
I am hobby military vehicle designer, I designed this concept in 2005, for proof you can check document age,
i just saw one today lol coming out their plant
Sure is a nice looking sherp!
That is an very well thought out truck, love the fact its easy to climb into.
thats right so when it blows a gear drive in the water your stuck and have to wait to get towed or sink your want to be a sherp
I can just imagine diving into the water head first and Ooops! there's a log to punch a hole through the windshield and really ruin your day.
Left or right hand drive is great that you can operate it according to the visual needs of the obstacles.
Wait til the end! It’s almost strong enough to tow a mazda miata
Competition is good. Looking forward to see what they come up with.
ITS SHERP
wonder if sherp will take this to court
Great video!
Looks like a SHERP
I wonder where the "fat truck" got the design? It's literally just like something else. I jus can't remember what.
I love these. Would make an awesome guide vehicle.
Sherp✔
im so happy i just saw this vehicle come out their plant where they get built in bromont canada. i go skiing there
So it's a sherp but red.
Changed the sticker on the Sherp.
Those rear seats have historically been called "jump seats".
The extended version will be called "21 Jump Seat" Johnny Depp will be in the ads😅😅😅
ITS A FRICKING SHERP
It looks like a sherp because it's a design that works. Have you ever noticed that dump-trucks are similar? A lot of Canadians want one so why have one shipped from Eastern Europe and pay import fees?
Awesome for Fishing, Hunting in the back country not Just Work 👍🇺🇸 thank you
THE VERMONTER
no one ever accused a Vermonter of working...we know its not your thing and yes i know the response where you tell me all the stuff you did around the house today but still. no Vermonter likes to leave his property and go to work
Next TFL project truck???
Trucks Trucks Trucks keep it up guys.
Counterfeit sherp
I agree with the other comments, I too prefer the SHERP and it's much cheaper too!
So they ripped off the sherp completely hahaha
No different than what the Chinese do with everything lol
Like Russia doesn't copy the west. Russia is the 2nd biggest technology thief behind China. Anyway, if it's a copy, Canada is a country with "Rule of Law", unlike Russia, and the Russians can bring suit if it's a copy, which it isn't.
That free wheeling trailer will get you stuck in the swamp. Go over a submerged tree log and the Sherp`s
Wheel`s just spin away.
100 grand too much, absolutely ridiculous.
The rep (at the trade show) doesn't know a damn thing about what he's selling
The sherp!! That's the ultimate apocaliptic zombie survival SUV on the planet!!✌💀👍
So its a knock off sherp that cost more and goes slower with more hp? Right ✅
Not to mention less storage space, less fuel tanks, much more maintenance (hydrostatic Bah) etc etc...
New TFL studio looks and sounds GREAT
It reminds me of the Lost in Space chariot.
The Russian have gone nuts with these tyres and Sherp isn't the only one, there are multiple from 3 wheel to 6 or 8, with my fav being the BigBo.
Yes I very much do want to see more of this type of content, but this really was a TFL-Offroad episode...
In a Hurricane or Tornado Area, there are Many Nails, Tacks and Sharp Objects which would cause problems for the Big, Fat Tires...
They really didn't put any thoughts in naming it.
Fat Sherp would be smarter.

Sherp for me too, I like there power trailer!
"Dont call it a sherp"
Uhhhhhhh...... it is though
It's kind of (sort of) deluxe version of the Sherp; but competition is healthy and whatever new they bring to the table, Sherp can do the same and improve it too. Also the more companies try such ATV solution, the more they will keep their prices on a reasonable tag.
So it’s a rip off sherp

Meet the new ultimate rock crawler? No mods necessary... but a lift would be nice. Also great for the soon-to-be mini-Monster truck circuit (complete with monster sound system to simulate big block engine sound).
Wooow!!..... this design must have took a lot of thought. It looks very original. I’ve never seen anything like it........NOT!!!!!!........ I hate a thief!!!
Hey they added a roll cage, a better ladder and seats....yeah no they half assed it and just made a more complicated Sherp which I think is stupid.
Hydrostatic feels like a mistake, It might Seem like an obvious upgrade but trying to fix a broken hydrostatic system once you’ve driven to somewhere that nothing else can get to is going to be an absolute nightmare!
If you are going to copy sherp it needs to be better or cheaper. Not seeing that.
They made the steering better/easier and getting in and out easier the individual fold down seating in the rear is an improvement in my opinion. That's just what I got from the video.
@@vaughnburrows I don't know. I think the simple benches in the back of the Sherp are better since allot of people I see with these things are usually just 1 to 2 people and they use the back for cargo or the odd extra passenger. Also the Design of the Sherp lets you open the front window when you're in water....This doesn't look like you can open the front at all when driving.
@@loganholmberg2295 The Beauty of it all is that I prefer the fold down seats to use it as a family adventure vehicle and you seem to prefer the regular benches but now both you and I have options, now they just need to bring down the price some how without sacrificing quality. Not saying I'm going to buy one, but you never know when an extra 100,000 could end up on your lap.
Cool. Can't wait for you to get one
Sherp ripoff
Shep has a more reliable motor the tires inflate with the exhaust not an extra air pump to go bad. It also goes a few days on one tank of gas. Also cost less
8-10 days driving 12 hours a day if you fill all 5 fuel tanks..
